They would be some of the best if the battles weren't so slow. Having to wait for every action to happen, plus the super slow hp-bar drain makes battles feel like a chore.

Platinum fixes most of this(Not the slow hp-bar drain unfortunately), and has more content, so that game is a top 5 for me.

C-Gear was completely useless, Focusing on story bullshit instead of being an adventure to get stronger and become champion, the region is a literal circle, half of the aforementioned region is blocked off until the postgame, the sprite animations are absolute dogshit due to being achieved via rotation and tweening, the starters were terrible, the Pokedex was full of trash mons, the art direction was incredibly unappealing, the music was bland and forgettable.

Bw2 are good but too bogged down with shit that no longer works like the dreamworld and the c gear. Not to mention absolute cancer like the key system. If you can manage to start a new game on challenge mode its one of the best and most challenging in the series.

mostly the 3D games got super heavy on the story, im not exaggerating to say that at the beginning of ultrasun and moon you will be stopped every 2-3 minutes to watch a long unskippible cutscene play out which is made that much worse by the fact these games are a remixed rerelease of sun/moon so most people know the general story beats already

meanwhile BW2 does still have a lot of story compared to older gens its less frequent and the pokemon selection and gameplay was fantastic before they delved into digimon rip offs with mega evolutions and oneshot super moves.
