I want Sekiro on Switch rather than these shitty Dark Souls games
Not happening. DS1 was coming out anyways on the other consoles. You can go out and get 2 on the ps4 and xbone
Did DS1 even sell well on Switch?
Imagine if Sekiro was on the wii lol. Your arms would fall off by Genichiro I bet.
You can expect it 6 months after the remake releases on other consoles
DS1 Remastered sold like shit on all platforms. The late Switch port sold decent for what it was and stuck around on the eShop charts for a good time
If it ever comes on the Switch I'd rather have the non-ruined version+DLCs thank you.
lol the Switch cannot run Sekiro. Why do you think I even cropped this image?
DaS3 wouldn't run on the Switch either.
wat? Sekiro is an AA game that doesn't look that visually impressive at all
Probably not because they released it like 6 months too late
I don’t see why Sekiro wouldn’t run if they can get Dark Souls. It’s the same engine. Just need to get porters who know how to work with the engine.
DaS3 is not a visually impressive game.
You're never getting the e3 teaser bulld, cuck.
Wasn't the switch port of DS1 really shit
Sekiro would have to run at solid 60fps. I have a switch and I play regularly on it, but Sekiro couldn’t run on it unless they removed every model and replaced it with a textureless bunch of geometrical shapes
The game chugs on BoneX and PS4, the Switch would melt.
You both are fucking morons.
It was the best version of the Remasters actually even though the button mapping and audio was fucked up
>is an AA game
Don’t kid yourself.
>doesn’t look that visually impressive at all
It’s not le cuhrazyy wacky artstyle or grimdark shit but it definitely has a crisp and clear artstyle that celebrates the fine beauty of Japanese environments, and some of the landscapes are breathtaking. Also there’s some great particle effects used throughout the game.
Don’t start slanging shit because someone potentially insulted your favourite console.
Every From Software game chugs.
They only fucked up the sound compression to fit it on a cheap cartridge, it’s stable 30fps throughout and minus the shitty graphical remastering
Not on PC!
You do know they only removed the lightning because the game was literally too dark and you couldn't remove it on consoles right?
Imagine playing DaS2 but it's literally too dark... You need to hold the torch with your shield slot mind you. Just imagine having to sacrifice your shield for a torch the whole game. Literally unplayable
How are games like these even being imported to Switch? The specs are so bad. I imagine it's the equivalent of being on PC and turning the graphics settings all the way down, but somehow even worse.
Isn't Sekiro the one FromSoft game that's actually XboneX enhanced tho?
>muh art style
Graphically it’s nothing special on PC, and absolutely shit on PS4. Nobody was discussing the color choices, retard.
Heaven forbid, making players chose between the comfort of defense or the comfort of sight.
>muh grafix
Maybe try reading the post retard. I’m saying most people what’s artstyle with the graphics.
>How are games like these even being imported to ps4? The specs are so bad. I imagine it's the equivalent of being on PC and turning the graphics settings all the way down, but somehow even worse.
This. Imagine the gutter with the original build.
Now that section of the game, you would need an actual helmet lamp on your head to actually play the game.
Construct better posts and they can be properly read.
Souls 1 on the Switch was amazing port.
I like that it didn't have the shitty new fire effects and light
I played it for 70 hours
*equate artstyle
Have sex
Why do nintoodlers pretend having good graphics to go with gameplay is bad
Don't pretend your Mario or zelda woudnt look so much better if it played on a better system than that toster even with its current artstyle
Dark Souls is a fairly ugly PS3/360 game from 8 years ago ofcourse the Switch can run that at 30 fps.
The sound was fucking awful.
Because graphics are the least important element of video games.
>but it's literally too dark
Yeah like they advertised and hyped the game as.
Instead they remove the lightning, make the game uglier so consoles can run it and leave a bunch of useless mechanics in the game. Go fuck yourself.
I was talking about the PS3/360 version you fools.
not really
I played with high quality stereo headphones and only once or twice heard a crackling low quality sound effect
Based
Now we just need non-PSNow Bloodborne on PC and we're golden
They made everything bright as fuck in the DS1 remaster too
I'm aware, but that post was so stupid, it deserved to be derailed. You're welcome, nerd.
Usually those people dislike good graphics because since consoles achieved the power to run photorealistic graphics they’ve stopped using interesting art styles, replacing them with some movie-like bullshit. Games like Ratchet and Clank or even Bloodborne look much better than games like TLOU
I too wish they gave us the original build but let's be realistic here, the game is all janky as shit. Having darkness everywhere would make more harm than good.
e.g Aldia's Keep in the OG build was just a corridor in the original. That's because it would be a nightmare to get through because caged enemies react to you holding torches if you pass by them with a torch. And when you respawn, they are still outside their cages, pretty much until you start a NG+ or use a BA (which you can only do after beating the boss)
At this point it should be the bare minimum in this century
And defending any gimped systems that undermine such potential for bare minimum visual apeearing graphics to go with everything else is just self cucking yourself
It’s not like you know what the fuck is going on in the gutter as you run straight through that shit even with the light on anyway
Personal taste can't be argued about.
But fuck, DaS2 has the worst combat, gameplay and functional leveldesign of all Souls games.
Why do people like it so much?
You don't but whenever you light a torch there you get aggro by every enemy in the nearby. So imagine that but applied to every area in the game.
I think the original build was removed to take account the jankiness of the game.
Again, look at Aldia's Keep in the OG build. Nothing but a corridor.
It may be the same engine, but Sekiro and DS3 have vastly better models, textures and lighting over Dark Souls 1 and even 2. Keep in mind that the DS1 remastered port to Switch was actually just a port of the original PS360 version that fixed the resolution and framerate, and included none of the enhancements that the other versions did.
Those wooden boxes in a cave wouldn't even be in the original build.
Build variety and bonfire ascetic and PvP plus infinite respec allow them to make any build without replaying the game so PvP fags can filter the bad parts of the PvE from memory
>enhancements
For me it's the sandbox feels it gives off. There are so many different, relatively balanced (compared to other games) playstyles to choose from, as well as hidden gimmicks. I also feel like it's the game that likes to fuck with the players more out of all entries. Compare that with the opposite entry in the series, Sekiro, where every fight encounter feels fair and YOU get the jump on enemies.
In DS2 it's the opposite, the mobs and environment use every dirty trick in the book to kill you.
yeah good point. but even then it still suffers from the godawful soul memory mechanic.
DaS2 could've been so cool, man...
>in the series
Welp, I fucked up but you know what I mean.
Well, whatever they thought they were doing for the PS4/XBO/PC remasters, in any event. I wouldn't call them enhancements either, but whatever they are, they aren't in the Switch version. About the only thing that made the jump is the 6 player online.
DaS3 is better for respecs. You get free 5 respecs, you don't need to farm for them.
And not just that but deprived is better in DaS3 because there isn't SM in that game. And that's the only starting class that sort of allows you to try multiple builds.
To me the shittiest part of the game is that there are no good options for invaders in the early game. So you don't get to experience being invaded until mid game if at all. Which also hurts the way of the blue covenants (you can't use blue orbs if no one is invading).
And you get the way of the blue way sooner than you can get to the brotherhood of blood, I don't fucking get the point of that.
That’s true, but there’s also issue of increase your Soul Memory level and/or breaking the agape ring in a playthrough so it’s really discouraging to keep playing the game after finishing with a PvP build
I think DS2 throw too much bullshit and it’s a few game that I resort to bullshit to just get through the game. At certain point, the bs is not enjoyable anymore, just really tedious. What I hate about DS2 is that it doesn’t really have that satisfaction challenge and reward. The solution to many of the challenges is just to be cheap and lame and it’s not satisfying after you overcome them.
The agape has a lot of durability. It will only break if you stand in front of acid spray or roll in acid for too long.
I wouldn't care too much about the agape ring if I was doing a legit build, especially when you consider that SM is gone by NG+ and lots of new game stuff for your builds can only be obtained there.
