unironically probably the best traditional asscreed game and the most technically advance game. Even compared to the recent ones.

can you climb the eiffel tower in it?

Bad story good enough gameplay boring execution
But gorgeous environments though

yes

No, it takes place before the eiffel tower was built

Can you still get it for free?

It gets the most important part of AC games right, which is the recreation of historic cities. Gameplay is standard Ubisoft during that time and story is as idiotic as any other AC game.

Well...

The gameplay is horrid but you might like it if you enjoy the setting or something.

go check

Uninstalled after a few hours, janky combat, janky free climbing, garbage network code, nice environmental art, pop in and texture LOD issues everywhere on max settings.

But hey, it was free.

In all seriousness has the game been patched after release? I hear the biggest hurdle is having a high end pc, is that true since I'm actually inteested in playing.

Its alright, worth the download at least.

It has a lot of parkour and stealth, like the classic titles. Simplistic combat. Stupid collectibles. Still much, much more of an assassin's creed game than every title after it. Syndicate was the point at which I just wanted the series to fuck off for a good while.

I already pirated it back when it was released, but I’d like to try the multiplayer missions.

Doesn't have to be that high end, my rig is like 4 years old, i7-4790, GTX 970 and I had no problems running it pretty much maxed out at 1080p/60fps.

I was done with AC when it originally came out and had a negative opinion about it due to it's controversy but I picked it up cheap a year ago and was pleasantly surprised. It has a interesting story that doesn't go all ass blasting with gods or the animus and just sticks to your character who sees some development. I love the French Revolution so the setting was great to me, the city is fun to run around as the parkour mechanics are probably the best they've been. The combat is pretty good, I mean you can SNEAK in a assassin game. GREAT.Only compliant I guess is the colors for your clothes are kinda shit and and the skills are boring. The need to unlock armor and weapons with progress and large amounts of money might deter you but it keeps you playing and encourages you to do all the missions and find all the chests, etc. All around pretty good. One of my favorite ACs.

does it run well? like FPS wise?

Eiffel tower wasn't built until 1889 this game takes place in 1789

I use an i5 4460 and an RX570 and it plays fairly decent at 1080p. I do remember when this game ran like complete and utter crap, and how fucking unoptimized it was at release. I guess it got the Arkham Knight treatment (where at release it was nearly unplayable due to massive stutters, and nowadays runs completely fine as long as you're not using 8GB of RAM like a fucking pleb)

I un-ironically hate these threads. Play the fucking game and make up your own damn mind you goddamn brainlet.

It's the best AC gameplay-wise. The story and non-historical characters are kind of forgettable but I guess that can be a good thing when it comes to these games.

I think this is the last game where they went "we want to make an assassin's creed game that's as assassin's creed as assassin's creed goes".

I un-ironically hate these faggots. Go to resetera if you don't want to discuss a videogame you goddamn nigger.

but... this is a video game board to discuss video games...

yes, there is a ww2 sequence

You can climb the Eiffel tower, but it's in a flash-forward type Animus mission and a one-off. Regular game takes place well before it was built of course.

Cool

I ignored it at launch because of the performance issues and only played it recently when I got a PS4Pro for some nice couch gaming after coming home from a hospital stay and I regret not having played it sooner. It literally has the best stealth mechanics of all AC games that I've played (each one except Syndicate, Rogue and Odyssey). Guards are properly alert, and it's not just walking and running that makes noise but dropping down from a ledge/height too (which you can mitigate with gear) and crowd blending works better than ever (and even better with gear). Paris is superbly recreated as well, with plenty of houses and indoor locations that are built for stealth (but you can mess around with distractions and cheese the alarm levels too if you're paying attention, higher levels it's easy to get pinned down though so you'd need to escape and wait for everything to cool down a bit). I just wish I could transfer my PS4 save file to PC now that I've got a 1070 and 4K screen.

Anyone who played it, did they retain these stealth mechanics for Syndicate as well?

bump

Yeah I had no problems on my 4~ year old rig, i7-4790, GTX 970, everything was pretty much maxed out, solid 60fps, odd drop due to janky optimization but way less intensive than I was expecting given everything i'd heard.

i'd go as far as saying that it has the best "assissin's creed" gameplay of all the games in the series, but my biggest unforgivable issue is that you can't use guards as shield to cover from bullets anymore.

I just tried it; literally in the first mission and I’ve run into several bugs (walking through People) and not being able to climb up climbable environments

It feels janky and kinda still looks like shit or at least the built in AA looks terrible

Controls like shit with K+M

Assassin's creed games are janky by default, all of them. Keep in mind these were pretty much yearly releases until Syndicate (and after that, the style of the games changed drastically to where now they're calling them "RPGs" for some reason).

People kept saying black flag as good so I installed it the other day and its not good, they lied

One of the best..

i fucking love Arno

my name is Shay Cormac and i make others' luck too

This game runs like actual dogshit using 89% of my cpu. Fucking garbage lmao.

shit graph

KEK

free... where?

>ACII
>Low Tier
umm, why?

>Brotherhood shit tier
>Unity top tier
Actual garbage opinion my man.

What the fuck is this monstrosity? A next-generation Yagrum Bagarn?

good luck running it in 4k with a 1070, turning every setting to low might give you close to 60fps

The first list I agree with 100%.

Gotta agree. Not perfect, and lacking in several aspects, but this was definitely the truest AC game we got since 2. I really hope Ubisoft is taking another crack at this formula, just without a fucking Holiday deadline 2 years too early. I'm sick of the RPG shit where you can't even kill a guy with one neck stab

In terms of setting and gameplay it does a lot of things right. You can finally jump across rooftops of high buildings again like in the Ezio titles and this time in a huge city. The combat is far more difficult than in the previous titles unless you max out your equipment. Story is pretty predictable and feels rushed. The sequences mostly consist of 1 or 2 missions where 1 of those is to kill the sequence target. There is a lot of content in side missions which should have been part of the main story. After you are done with the last sequence the game feels dead and even though there are so many things left to do the story leaves the impression that there is no point in playing anymore.
It did right what Blackflag did wrong and it did wrong what Blackflag did right.
If you liked the Ezio games you can have some good fun with it.

>8gb ram outdated

what

Attached: 1519691374789.jpg (550x366, 60K)

I built a budget gaming PC in 2015 with 16GB of RAM. Sure prices went way higher since then but still, 8GB if you want to play modern shit is not appropriate at all.

I think Syndicate got rid of crowd blending, but you have this neat kidnap ability that lets you twist a guard's arm and pretend they're escorting you, there's a small detection circle at your feet that you can't let other guards walk into, it gets bigger the faster you move or if your captive struggles

>buying amd
>lmado

swap 3 and rogue and you got patrician taste

My cpu is intel. Where did you get amd from nigger

I used to think this as well, but qhen I thought about it, 8 gb is really small now. even my 4 year old PC has about 12 or 16, cant remember.

This

Uplay

Too bad no game even uses 6GB of RAM.

Stop blowing stuff out of your ass and buying gadgets just because you can.

Syndicate could have been a much better game without the gang stuff. But unfortunately it was part of the story. I liked the game tho.

I really don't like the new ones tho. they feel like retcons.

A human evolved to survive a car crash

Strange how both your last three post numbers had the digits 1, 4, and 6. But damn, I guess times change, better start saving.

GTA V recommend says 8GB of ram.

it's not about the game it's about all the other shit like browser and launchers

pic related is me with only chrome and steam opened

Attached: Capture.png (214x63, 2K)

lol I should play the lotto with these numbers. pick 3 doesn't get you much

I can't believe they finally make a Victorian London game, and it's just fucking Gangs of New York (complete with a tranny and Pajeet) with Jack the Ripper left as DLC

Aussie version of human evolution to handle car crashes or some shit.

exactly. so much lost potential.

I wish there was a vanity system for the armor, the few unlockable outfits that aren't just previous protag outfits aren't as good as the armor sets. Favorite AC game for sure, though

Imagine an AC game with the level of detail and tangibility of Red Dead Redemption 2. Something about AC worlds just feel fake, I think it's the NPCs, low detail and not human at all in their behaviour

You also get to climb lady liberty in a similar segment.

Ram comes in lots of 4, why not 12 gig

You can visit Paris with french people on it

>Something about AC worlds just feel fake
for the tech they had I think it feels pretty real honestly. I like to play these games like I'm a time traveler living in the past.

Although the last two rpg lite ass creeds don't seem real. They feel like movies.

I actually loved the world of Origins. Odyssey was just bland woodlands and ocean, but Origins was amazing in the way you could round a mountain path and suddenly be overlooking a brand new city you'd yet to see

I'd love a modern Ass Creed were you're traversing modern building rooftops hundreds of feet in the air. kind of like mirrors edge but scarier because you're so high up. You could still have the sneaking levels because big cities (at least in the U.S.) still have the old building and row houses of the past. I thought they were going to reach that point after seeing the levels from ass 3.

guess not. I think I'm the only one that enjoyed the modern stuff. it made going back in time meaningful.

What's hard to understand?

RIP

While black flag was super fun it was fun for reasons not pertaining to being an Assassin's Creed game. It was only fun because "hurr durr I'm a pirate in a tropical setting" I don't mean this a negative because the pirate gameplay parts were excellent, everything pirate related, and all side activities were great. But it failed everywhere else and would have been otherwise forgettable if not for those aspects I mentioned, imho. The story was rudimentary at best( though I guess this is subjective ). The missions sucked horse cock, the tools you got were mostly boring af, and combat was meh at best. The towns were utter horse shit minus the pirate hangout, and the parkour/traversal was meh too. Also it only had like 1 memorable character. That being the female lead.

>WHERE IS CHARLES LEE above all the Ezio games

I only managed to play though syndicate for the sister. Also not being able to jump off building in syndicate was dumb as shit.

This. The Ezio saga was absolute kino.

is there a mission to bust a nut in her?

Unity has the best all-around gameplay in the entire series. But one of the worst stories and worst endings in the series as well.

Confirm/Deny?

Attached: 1436364772181.jpg (800x1064, 134K)

final mission. In a manner of speaking
;_;

I actually don't remember the ending boss.

I think it was just a sword fight?

woah, colours in a videogame?

don't tell me she dies

I've stopped playing ACs since I lost her, can't go through that again.

Attached: Cristina Vespucci.jpg (1280x720, 52K)

idiots who never even touched the game. Fuck off.

>pucci.

Sorry I quit this terrible fucking game before I got to the modern section where you do that

Cute.

obsiouvly, din't run well with a 970 back then ,not better today.
It runs at least fine on my 2080

>obsiouvly

I also got unity for free and while its not bad, it‘s still feels buggy and unpolished for a 5 years old game
>Not much depth in terms of combat. Mash the attack button and occasionally click the parry button when you sees a yellow bar.
>Story is mediocre. Every episode is just a repeat cycle of "Introducing a new character > assassinate said character 5 minutes later"
>Half way through the game will teleports you to a dlc side story and you‘re lock in there and unable to go back unless you complete the dlc story, which can take up to hours
>The whole assassin guild feels like a guild from skyrim. "Hey, new guy, heres some fetch work. Oh wait our grandmaster died. New guy you‘re now our leader."
>Extremely unbalanced sniper that can one-shot you with pin point accuracy. Enemies can shoot pistol at you through a crowd which doesn‘t fucking make sense
>Late game artificial difficulty was done by lazy design. Higher difficulty mission? Lets start making these houses with all window shut and surround the house with 40 guards
>Multiplayer is really bad, both connection and balance wise

I gave it a 5/10, and thats because its free.

Unity is one of my favorite AC games, > Ezio that's for sure.

>
This unironically, fuck eziofags

She does
Ubisoft keeps preaching the power of females but for some reason can't stop with this tired out trope for some of their best designed characters.
