borderlands has some of the most interesting world building and some of the worst character development, writing, quest design, and general sense of art direction in the history of AAA video games

there is not a single game series that has more cringe in it than Borderlands, but people put up with it because there aren't any other games that are just first person diablo

my favorite part of the entire game series is the rushed cutscene in the pre-sequel where the people you saved get pushed out of an airlock by Jack because they had to figure out some way to make him evil and all of the characters that fly out of the airlock are motion tweened like Poochie returning to his home planet

Amara looks fine in some shots so far, but very off in the majority of her appearances in the trailers. I have a feeling her heads/skins are gonna make her into a sexy chocolate goddess (with abs).

I don't know what they were thinking with the presequel. They could have just had Jack be likable and understandable, maybe even to show a different side that you don't see when he's the antagonist , but instead they desperately try to make him have an arc from good guy to being a villain and it just falls flat and ruins other characters along the way
