Why? This game just seems setup to just go out and die. They also seem to have a good visual jump away from the previous games, and the melee weapon looks okay. The problem is it has the Gears name therefore is a pointless existence after the original trilogy.

I think part of it was how they announced Gears 4 and the final reaction to that game. The first reveal was at E3, and it was a 5-10 minute long demo that was slow pacing, dark, some-what giving off the vibe that it might lean towards horror more than endless shootan but the game was just mediocre and another pointless sequel
