The only complaint might be proud mode, but honestly even critical mode in KH2FM was pretty brain dead. The only challenge came from DLC super bosses, which have always been far and few between for initial releases.

No, most KH3 hatred comes from a mix of things, most of it being people who expected something it was never supposed to be. The 13 years of development and hype advertisements really set peoples expectations way to high. So when it didn't meet them it ended up with most people feeling like it sucked.

Rdr2 is great, best story in a game I've played in a long time

I didn't over hype myself at all, I just expected the game to be at least as good as vanilla 1 and 2, and it wasn't for me.

1 and 2 both had long stretches of the game before the last acts that were solely devoted to advancing the main plot. In KH3 you literally just dick around and everything is shoved in the last act.

In KH3 you had a shit ton of characters with interesting relationships that you'd actual expect to, you know, talk to each other, just not happen. You can't excuse Riku and Terra not even acknowledging each other. Or like Riku and Kairi? Kairi and Xion? Fucking Ventus, Roxas, and Sora?? Miss me. I expected something different because this game is like the peak of the whole series.

The difficulty thing is minor for me. I played level 1 proud on 3 and it was decent, and I'm patiently waiting for critical.

KH 1 had 4 characters that weren't stuck on a single world. 2 of those for don't even show up in till the very last section of the game. Square Enix characters were literally talking plot devices.

Besides the dialogue thing, the pacing and amount of original content/worlds in KH3 was still shit imo compared to 1 & 2. Take 2. You had the entirety of Twilight Town as Roxas and Sora, Hollow Bastion in the beginning, mid game Hollow Bastion, and then everything at the end. KH3 just had a neutered Twilight Town and a small end game. It's a shame.

Twilight Town was good, but Hollow Bastion in 2 was god awful. You had small town section, but the rest was random blue rocks and a few pipes. It only existed to seqway between the different parts. KH3 was absolutely worse, but it's not like Hollow Bastion was much better ( honestly on par with Twilight town in KH3 ).

The worlds in KH3 were overall better then the ones in KH and KH2 however, you are blinded by the fact that you probably weren't interested in the new Disney worlds ( like most older KH fans ). You overlooked the Disney worlds because they were ones you grew up with, but the ones in KH3 are all new and thus don't get the benefit of nostalgia.

Overall the worlds KH3 actually had more OC content then the ones KH1/KH2, but it was usually at the start and end of the world.
