end the series

Remove the fact that Shepard was worshipped.

This. Make it the canon ending by adding the PROPER ending where maleshep creates his harem of women from across the universe.

1. Keep the original cast
2. Have the opening prologue be the ending
3. Make the story about Shepard & her original crew trying to take down Cerberus
4. Suicide Mission is about you invading Cerberus Headquarters
5. Shepard is killed by the Reapers at the end
6. Next game reveals that Illusive man is still alive & was the one controlling the Reapers
7. Time skip several years into the future for ME3
8. Reapers & Cerberus have a stranglehold over the Galaxy
9. Shepard comes back to life
10. Mass Effect 3 ends with over 12 different endings based on your choices

i would've made it so miranda was fertile and didn't have buck teeth

Don't kill Shepard at the start of the game. It's pointless. The Cerberus outfit you work with should be elaborated on as being publicly represented as a Cord-Hislop task force. There are many things that could be changed about the Collectors, but in essence the fight against them and its resolution needs to do something to advance the plot. Like we need to master and/or acquire a specific technology that will help us against the Reapers. The game should probably address how the Reapers will be returning without the Citadel Mass Relay and how it will disadvantage them.

This is perfect, although i still don't like the Reapers bullshit. Mass Effect should have just been Space Bounty hunter shit across the galaxy. The Shadow Broker quest was the best part of Mass Effect 2 & we needed more shit like that

ME1 was the only good one, you could make a case for ME2, and ME3 was a shit sandwich on rye. biowaste was lucky to have a few good writers on staff that actually got people to care until they quit because casey hudson and mac walters unrivaled faggotry and the entire thing went belly up in the last hour of the fucking thing

also you're a massive faggot for liking series that exploits lonely virgins with digital waifus. thank god its dead.

>how you would have fixed ME2's Story

Well ME2 ruined the series. The story on its own isn't too bad if it were its own thing but because it is tied to ME franchise its way out of place. Its like a giant distraction from the overall important plot. Only way you fix this mess is getting EA's hands out of it.

You know how ME 2's plot didn't progress the overarching narrative of the Reaper threat at all? leaving in a rush to find some asspull Mcguffin in ME 3? I would NOT do that.

Legion and Friends rebuild Shepard after Cerberus attack leaves him dead. Shepard and his new Robobuddies (who rebuilt the Normandy and installed a gestalt intelligence that gradually develops a personality as Joker continues to talk to it) have to enter the Terminus Whatever region of Space to begin the arduous process of gathering allies for the Reaper war to come. Terrorists, dictatorships, good honest colonies and more can be found here, and part of the Decision Making Process is Shepard deciding who they want the support of, and who they do not. Throughout it all, Cerberus remains a constant nemesis, either sabotaging negotiations or being One Step Ahead of Shepard, and his job for that particular planet is to fix the issues Cerberus caused.

The big bad antagonist of the entire thing is The Illusive Man, who constantly taunts Shepard throughout the journey as he works together to gather up all of the Reaper tech that entered the black market, culminating in Shepard needing to do a Suicide Mission against a Cerberus black ops facility to destroy an experimental Cerberus vessel that incorporated Reaper tech into it's design. After doing what they will with the Reaper ship (destroy it? Claim it? Call Alliance and report location of derelict ship?) The Illusive Man comes on-screen and makes an offer after calling you the hottest shit. This is the ultimate decision of the game; will you accept TIM's offer of cooperation, or refuse?

Allies include Joker, Gestalt Intelligence, Legion, a hot terrorist chick with huge tits, a violently racist Batarian and Garrus. I guess we can toss in an Asari with serious mommy issues and a Salarian who's addicted to interspecies porn.

if they came out and said ME3 would have 12 endings and it actually did have 12 endings that would have been far more acceptable than saying it has "hundreds" of endings when it really only has 1 only colored differently. ME3 was probably the most despicable, petty AAA game I've ever seen in my nearly 30 years of gaming

Save the suicide mission gimmick for ME3. Increase the number of loyalty missions but make it so your team were far more in disagreement on how things should be handled, so you had to choose who to side with. Then those that you piss off/ignore/cheated on with Miranda joined TIL's forces in ME3, eradicating the need for Kai Leng.

>make it actually impact ME3 and it’s ending
>expand on the Collectors
>make a better final boss
And that’s about it

>Next game reveals that Illusive man is still alive & was the one controlling the Reapers
This is beyond retarded

What you talking about, it was the best in the series

I agree

It doesn't need to be fixed. Each game would have been just fine as a self-contained adventure.

Even the original endings would have been far better then what we got
> Ending A: The DEVICE docks with the Citadel, Shepard leaps off the edge of the platform becoming one with the Reapers.
> Ending B: The DEVICE docks with the Citadel, Shepard places her hands into the control mechanism and gains control over the Reapers. Earth is destroyed, and the Reapers leave.
> Ending C: The DEVICE docks with the Citadel, Shepard destroys the tubes resulting in the Reapers being destroyed. Earth is also Destroyed.
> Ending D: The DEVICE docks with the Citadel, Shepard places her hands into the control mechanism and gains control over the Reapers. Earth is okay, and the Reapers leave.
> Ending E: The DEVICE docks with the Citadel, Shepard destroys the tubes resulting in the Reapers being destroyed. Earth is devastated.
> Ending F: The DEVICE docks with the Citadel, Shepard destroys the tubes resulting in the Reapers being destroyed. Earth is okay.
> Ending G: The DEVICE docks with the Citadel, Shepard destroys the tubes resulting in the Reapers being destroyed. Earth is okay. Shepard survives.

>switch the plot of Mass Effect 1 and 2 around chronologically, series starts with Shepard becoming a spectre so he can go after the Collectors and learning about the Reapers from there
>remove Harbinger entirely and just have signs that Sovereign is controlling the Collectors, you never interact with it directly (ie none of that ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL horseshit)
>don't even bother with the baby Reaper shit because its dumb, maybe have the collectors building up a husk army in secret or something I dunno
>first two games now build up to the big Citadel invasion, and lead into Mass Effect 3 with the galaxy collectively preparing for war now that they know the Reapers are real

>implying there was anything wrong with me2
fuck off contrarian piece of shit, back in the day everyone praised the shit out of it, Yea Forums included. Me3 is the one that needed a fix.

Shepherd gets in an argument online and goes on a quest to explain how he would have fixed the story of the sequel to a popular scifi RPG with the promise of a reward of 1 million dollars.

Mass Effect 2 is absolutely a good game and probably my favorite in the series, but even back when it was released people were complaining about how the main story is basically just filler between 1 and 3. It was carried by fun gameplay and likeable characters, not by cheap knockoff Sovereign and his big baby Terminator that doesn't matter because we all know there's a billion more Reapers coming in the sequel anyway.

ME2 was a lot closer to having a good plot than people give it credit for. If they had avoided mistakes like
>Shepard dying
>working with Cerberus instead of the Alliance
>giving you 10 new killable squadmates
>Human Reaper
>letting you blow up the base
>Arrival
then ME2 would've been fine. Recruitment/loyalty missions being the "plot" is the reason many people love the game.

>Next game reveals that illusive man was controlling the reapers to influence events to ensure human dominance but because you killed him and Cerberus the reapers are now autonomous and took over the galaxy
ftfy

Focus the story more around inter-species relationships. Take elements from Mordin and Grunt's loyalty misson and create a narrative about properly integrating the Krogan into the galaxy while dealing with the Genophage. Same for Tali and Legion's mission but dealing with reaching an agreement with the Geth and Quarians. Maybe actually show the left over animosity between Turians and humans and trying to resolve. These were the strongest and most interesting part of the games but instead get little to no screen time and then resolved in like one or two missons in 3. They're very complicated issues and I feel like having a whole game to flesh them out would just be a better idea all around rather than "Gotta get to the omega relay". Have Shepard and the crew painstakingly forge a tenuous alliance and have it tested when Harbringer is instead a true vanguard who cuts through colonies from the outermost reaches, but weaves in and out so it seems like the colonies are being attacked by other species rather than the Reapers. Plus I think it works better thematically since the first game is about the cynical and skeptical nature of the Council that's made even worse by Shepard going Cerberus but it only went so far as the Council/Ashley/Kaiden bitching at you rather than an obstacle Shepard has to really deal with.

Give me the option to help Jacob's father, betray my mission and kill all witnesses then end the game in his man-made paradise.

Make Miranda not ugly.
