Absolutely, I'm working on optimizing parts in the stage (was at max in that screenshot) so I can add more details. If possible, I'll add a hedge maze to the right and graves to the left.

There really needs to be some kind of setting for terrain that allows for translucency whenever somebody is behind a foreground object.

It's not final yet, but as you can see, this is my take on an autoscroller created via stage builder. The ID is P5GY3Y0P and as you can see, you have to keep moving to avoid getting left behind. I know there are ingame stages like this, but mine's harder. Yet it's not as bad as those horrible "single spinning beam" stages you're guaranteed to die on. Managed to get a couple graves in the graveyard area on the left, and the area on the right is now a hedge-maze (sort of), I also changed the 'bush' platforms on the edges to be solid instead of thin lines. The rest may look identical, but I had to move a lot of shit around underneath, you'd be surprised how many smaller elements are actually 1 massive piece.

One trick I've found to making things like that DK work out good is draw them big first, then scale them down to a good size for the stage, drawing them big makes it easier to get the details you want in

That is a good point actually. I was planning originally to have the stage be actually functional by having villager's legs be the platform with ankha's body as the background and her legs as the foreground.
So I'd have to make it a non-functional stage but at least that way I could make Ankha more detailed.

I'd go with a Castlevania one just because it already looks pretty similar to LM and could use the differentiation.
