Is Civ 6 good? I only tried it for 15 minutes before getting annoyed it wasn't 5 and going back to it to RP as the Jews taking over the world

With both expansions it's a direct upgrade from Civ V, since it has all of V's features plus more. Amenities system replaces happiness and is far better. Multiplayer is way more stable and allows for mods to be used.

It's alright but really just lacks balance. For example, tall vs wide is imbalanced for the latter, and none of the post-renaissance buildings are really worth building for how much hammers they cost.

If you have 5, playing with the mod vox populi is much better.

One thing I will say is hands-down better is diplomacy. Only flaw is that they fucked with the world congress so you can't choose the proposals that civs vote for.

I've gotten equal amounts of enjoyment out of 5 and 6.
The AI is shit as usual, but the discrete districts and policy cards encourage more thoughtful city planning. Helps to keep things somewhat interesting when you would otherwise just be ending your turn without taking any actions.

Even though England STILL doesn't have a good English leader, Elanor is a major qt and was actually fairly competent so it's better than nothing. Don't think Civ will ever have a proper Englishman like Alfred the Great, really sad desu.

At the end of the day only Matthias is truly problematic. If for whatever reason you hate the CS mechanic you've got plenty of option.

I dunno, the only truly awful choices seem to be Kristina, Jadigwa (I get it, she's probably important in Poland, but IIRC, she wasn't much of a ruler), and Gorgo (literally Leonidas's wife). I'd say Catherine too, but I get they wanted to play around with leaders they've never used. She'd probably have been more well-received had there been a more prominent French leader as an option too.
