Corsair HS70.
Been using these since my last pair of Audio Technicas broke.
Sennheiser HD 518. Got them for £50 a few years ago and they’ve been great. Don’t see much point upgrading unless I go for a high end set so have been putting it off.
>Best headphones under $100
Might as well make a list of the least gay OPs
AKG K92. I just like the brand. I have MDRs as a back-up pair. but I don't like them much. pic related. also behringer's HA400 microamp.
i use speakers like a patrician should
I use the Audio Technica M40x's for everything. One of the top 5 happiest moments of my life, receiving these. They're my first pair of actual headphones that are mine to keep.

These, the Mpow H1
Pretty nice, the headphone jack on my computer is broken so I need a bluetooth one, and also it's an infinite times more convenient than wired. It's hard to go back.
This
Cheap as hell, can be used wirelessly, and sounds great once you EQ them
I use those Phillips headphones. You know the ones.

I got the Hyper X Cloud 2 or whatever it's called. Work pretty well.
Rebranded Micca MB42X speakers.
I have ATH-M50x but I leave them at work.
Oh these guys posted em.
are there headphones for people with big heads and glasses?
Hat size my head is like XXL, couple that with needing glasses and most headphones I've found start to hurt in about 2 hours of use
that sony headset for the ps3. Works on pc, switch and my ps4 not bad
i got a big ass head but have no problems with headphones just adjust them as far as they go, if u need more than that you must be a freaking conehead
Holy shit. Bighead fags need to fuck off and die
These are the best, no sound leakage, not too heavy, and not too bassy (the last two make M50x a no no for me.)
Are Sony MDR-V6 really that good?
I found a bargain deal and thinking of picking them up.
apparently its from the sellers father who recently passed away and he worked on a studio
:(
Get Status CB-1s instead.
I love the astro a10's, had em for awhile now and they're pretty good for both vidya and general music needs.
I have had my old Audio Technica ATH-AD700's for about eight years
I feel the itch to replace them just because... but i can't because they aren't even banged up or anything and i dont think the sound quality deteriorated at all
Whats the big difference? they look somewhat bigger and comfier.
I got some Takstar 82's from China for 50 dollars. Sounds good, blocks out outside sound well, and it's comfy as fuck. I can wear these things all day and not care. They're also big enough to go over my ears (I'm a big guy)
>gaymen headsets
Are you 12?
I´ve had them since like early 2013 and they still are working perfectly except the headband required some heavy maintenance.
HEAVY usage.
Yes, I bought them because of Dota.
tfw comfy bookshelf speakers for maximum immersion
It's almost certainly what the sound engineer who made your vidya was wearing, if not its sister-cans the 7506 or CD900ST
>not wanting headphones with a nice boom mic
Do you wear over the ear headphones out in public like some retard?
>active speakers
no thanks
You don't need a boom mic. Get a desk mic or a sensible headset like the Spearhead which only has a tiny hole for it's microphone and blows away your meme stick in your mouth.
>thinking you need a boom mic outside the extremely noisy environment of a helicopter cockpit
Smelly dumb gamer scum
K812's, I regret it a little though because I really would like the closed version but can't justify 'em now.
Why do you smelly incels buy this "gamer" shit
Do you also have a chair that says AKRacer on it and a razor light up mouse?
This is a meme, Desk mics are cumbersome and take a lot of desk space.
There is aboslutely nothing wrong with headsets,
what you sacrifice in quality you get back in comfort.
t. bought a desk mic and dont even use it because i settled for a headset, also the mic didnt even have an off switch.

I'm gonna probably put it back way further on my desk or try and find a way to get around the size of the boom arm.

brainwavz hm5, they're pretty good
but can someone please explain why the fuck do the upper part of headphone cables (the part attached to the cups) stiffen over time? i've had this cable in use for just over a year and it's gotten so stiff the plastic will break if it's bent more than a few degrees. does it have something to do with the cable touching my body or something? it doesn't stiffen like that anywhere else and it's annoying having to buy a new cable every year
Sorry id rather pay $60 for some decent headphones and a mic instead of 80+ for good headphones and a desk mic.
fucking retard
>poorfag
You could've just started with that.
What's the appeal of buying clone headphones that are worse than the design they're copying?
The original models are superior, comfier and more flexible at only a fraction of the cost.

MDR-V6s I have 2 pairs one for the computer and one for if I need to do anything else around the house, I used to use Sennheiser 599s but I found them a bit uncomfortable and after switching to MDRs I really prefer them to everything else
Alright, recommend something.

Technically you're seething because you came at me first.

Fair enough. It just seems like a raw deal to me all in but I guess that poorfags looking for a bargain don't notice it.
What? Can't hear you over the background noise. Maybe buy a good mic.
funny you didn't hear me walk up behind you because your EQ isn't made a tad more bass-y to make footsteps more audible. how cute.

Been using sennheiser hd 439 for like 5 years. Basically no grip so they are pretty comfy
My m50s leather is falling apart after 5 years or so now. Thinking about getting a new pair
got memed into getting ath-m50 but it's still holding up after 5 years so that turned out to be a pretty good investment
Bought myself a pair of these last Christmas and I love them. Was using shitty cheap "gamer" headsets before and the difference in sound quality is night and day.
Only problem is I had to buy a desktop mic, not the end of the world but I don't have much desk space so I had to get a cheap small one that isn't the greatest. anybody have suggestions for SMALL desktop mics?

Got the Hifiman Ananda, and its ridiculously good for gaming.
Its has gigantic planar magnetic drivers, its fully open and has super low distortion so you can EQ it to any sound signature you want without any distortion. Want to turn them into bass cannons and increase bass by 15db? Go ahead, it won't distort. Also the imaging is great and the sound is just so fucking massive, its like a wall of sound coming at you rather than the narrow echo of regular dynamic headphones. It almost sounds like the sound is coming from something larger outside the headphone.
Earbuds that don't rape my earholes. I have a pair of Sennheiser 280 Pros that I pull out for stuff where I really want/need to hear footsteps, but they clamp pretty hard, so I usually stick to shitty buds.
How many organs did you have to traffic to buy that?
PC37x from massdrop.
bought my pair in 2014. still working like a dream today. the leatherette has started flaking (most likely because of greasy hair over many summers) but it's still a really solid pair of headphones with the nice bonus of a detachable mic.
Bought it for $730. I'm just not poor.

Low impedence makes they easy to drive, most planars are low impedence.
And the human hearable range is 20hz-20khz.
imagine thinking impedance and frequency range defines what makes a headphone
oh wait, im on Yea Forums not /g/, I should have lowered by IQ
MDR 7506. They're amazing for the price point. Used to just have a 10 dollar clip on mic but the bx had a sale on a blue snowball mic so I picked that up.
the mdr v6s / mdr 7506s are meant strictly for mixing, mastering and monitoring
not for listening
they are designed to be as neutral as possible, while also revealing any flaws in the mix. they are absolutely fantastic for this purpose, but after getting a pair of snapheiser hd600s i will never go back
Sennheiser Game One, but I got them as a gift when they were on sale. I would never pay full price for them.
Why are you LOL-ing?
Both of those are good attributes.

>wired headphones

I tried a pair of these and it was awful
>Wireless
Why. If you are using headphones on the PC chances are you are not moving around a lot anyway.
If you are doing house chores, or something else not exclusively at the PC, people use speakers, not headphones.
AKG240's. I bought them for my guitar amps and detatchable cord. Audio improvement from shitty dollar store earbuds was very nice, even if the bass is a bit lackluster. I use them for everything now since I don't have anything better. In a year or so I'll look to upgrade, but for now, they're perfectly good.
Kraken v2 or something, not really sure. A chad friend I have gave it to me back in 2016 as a birthday gift because he didn't knew what to give me, so he gave me something he thought a "nerd would like".
Are you fucking retarded?
All planars have low impedance, that doesn't make them "mobile phone trash" you brainlet, nor does something being just low impedance mean it will run of a phone, you're completely ignoring db sensitivity. Even $3000 Meze Empyrean's have a sensitivity of 30Ω, even the Hifiman HE6se, which is one of the most power hungry headphones in existence often being run of multiwatt speaker amps, has a impedance of only 50Ω.
Glass your face brainlet.
>desktop mics
The cheapest non-chinese mic will do just fine.
>if it's easy to drive that means it sounds bad
Some shitty Sennheiser set I've used for like 5 years now. I tried getting fancy with noise canceling headsets and they always break in a year or two. I abuse the shit out of this pair and they're still going strong, convinced the good stuff is built to break so you buy them again.
Actual good stuff isn't built to break. Cheap shit marketed as good stuff is built to break.
counterpoint:
the HD600s are some of the best sounding headphones you can get, but they are horrendously built.
then again the Koss KSC75s sound nearly as good and they're fifteen fucking dollars
they aren't horribly built and even if they were every single part of it is completely replaceable
Low impedance makes it more sensitive than higher impedance sets, but its still a planar design, and inherently somewhat inefficient for a dynamic.
It's interesting looking at how they try to increase efficiency since it is fundamentally held back by a low BL, low motor strength.
Anything that is reasonably sensitive to work with your devices and sound acceptable?
Closed or open?
I could never deal with the latency.

Best pair of headphones I've ever owned, spent hundreds of hours between these cans. Mine had the leather worn off, replaced the earmuffs, and I finally lost them. Sad but now I'm getting the 50x with a replaceble cord, ordered them today!
>tfw you are not an autustic audiophile

The impression of space. If headphones can be said to have one, it would be an expression of the sensitivity of the headphone.
I like the Shure SRH1540, but it doesn't go on sale too often. You may have to find refurb or something.
There is also the Beyer Custom One Pro for considerably less.
Mine nigga. Love that bass.
You guys don't seriously wear fucking headphones when you're in your own homes do you?
Yes, that's what heterosexual people do.
M50x suck. Stay with m40x.
I have speakers as well as headphones and use them accordingly. Why is that so hard to fathom, I feel like I see this post in every headphones thread.
are you fucking retarded? my building has shitty audio isolation, so unless i want all my neighbours to listen to tarrant for the fifth time this week i have to wear cans.

Just splurge on MTH-M50s, it's an investment.
Mine don't even smell bad, but they are so fucking white then they should look like that pic just so much dust and cloth fibers and I hope that's all
i dont think 80 ohm need one. maybe im just too jaded, but the audio quality didnt blow me away like g35s did back in the day, so thats why i thought maybe its the onboard audio that fucks me.
You should probably check if the device output is insufficient before getting the amplifier. Especially with the 598 or whatever.
I use a lint roller.
For stains, take a damp cloth and gently rub the pads.
Sound cards are DACs. Some of them are quite good at being DACs, some aren't.

Paired them with a modmic and godamn I love them so much. They're so asthetic and sound so good and the pads are nice and the headband is great it's not too tight but tight enough to clamp on your head the detachable cord the grill everything is asthetic now the only think I would change is get rid of the L and R letters it would make it look better.

well, they were my first cans above the level of 10 bucks grocery store bought headphones, and so the bass completely blew me away.

how did you make this post without dying from irony? i guess you weren't even just pretending to be retarded....
If we are going to.post speaker here's mine.
Thanks! Yeah I see how much better it is just by the measurement tests. I only heard people talking the magni glad you brought it up. Is using rca to 3.5 limiting audio quality in anyway?
Well, I mean, it's how I listen to my games. I have a pair of headphones, but I hardly ever use it. That's probably on me for buying studio headphones to begin with.
I only really use headphones for handhelds and music.
the atom actually has a normal 3.5mm output you can use instead but even if you do use rca to 3.5mm it won't make any kind of audible difference
These fit me amazing I have a big head and glasses, I size on 3 or 4 setting it goes to 6. Also super comfy long term and amazing soundstage which is great for FPS games for positional awareness. I use the v-moda mic like picrelated.
My built in monitor speakers, for the most part. Are actually pretty decent despite being inside the monitor. If I need phones I go with these.
Yes, I know deranged meme nigger Etika uses them, they're still excellent, especially for 20 dollars and the fact they were made a decade ago.
Brainwavz HM5. Neutral response, comfy as fuck, good seal around the ears, not terribly expensive.
Probably to do with the constant flexing stiffening it over time. I can kinda see what you're talking about but mine have stayed very free at the jack which means they're fine. I have been afflicted by the gimbal fracture, though, despite being conscious of preventing the stresses that cause it (hold it by the band when stretching over the head, not by the cups). Gonna get new ones 3d printed soon.
>Little brother is so used to the garbage sound quality from $40 headsets that he says the sound from these things sounds bad
I guess that's just how overexposure to garbage works.
Got a pair of these they're pretty decent. Wanna get another pair in a couple months.
Git dem bookshelf speakers mane. Enough bass out of these that I don't need a subwoofer, I still am occasionally alarmed by how good the stereo effect out of them is when watching videos where I don't expect a soundstage.

I bought my Sennheiser HD 598 Cs when it first released. They've been serving me well. If I was looking to upgrade, what would be worth upgrading to? I'd be willing to try open headphones, I've never owned a pair.
Under 100 isn't unreasonable. Are you one of those faggots who spends 300 on Astros? Those sonys for example are on par with a lot of $120 headphones, and tend to last longer (albeit the earpads need replacing).

Huhh really? That's upsetting if so..
It feels fairly sturdy so far tho, why do you think that part is so fragile?
ma nigga
ive had mine for 2 years and that part hasnt broke yet only problem with mine are the ear pads are falling apart
Is there an updated version of this?
anyone know a real good pair of wireless headphones i can use for listening to everything and playing games like siege?
the atom and ol dac are pretty much the perfect stack
HD6XX on massdrop
turtle beach ear force recon 50
they aren't bad, i had em for like 3 years now
Get an IEM. They are cheaper than over ears and have better sound quality for the price
Recommend soundmagic e80, sounds as good as a sennheiser hd 600. For 80 bucks.
Late to the party but I just want to add that I've been using Koss for years with great success. I use them on public transport, too, and I appreciate their looks (I think big headsets make you look like Deadmaus and a huge fucking faggot). Good sound, much better bass than you'd expect, and yeah they barely isolate sound at all so you might want to mind your volume when you're around people. Also the cord easily gets snagged by the wire-like frame of the headset, so it's not quite as portable as OP makes it sound.
>once you EQ then
>he needs to eq his monitors
Fucking heathen scum. Go buy flat headphones right now.
nigger thinks recording quality mics are necessary for trolling fagots in voice chat, theres no other reason to have a mic
you're the nigger, you fucking faggot. Desktop mics are just so much better and recording's got nothing to do with it. You fresh off the Yea Forumsoat no voice comms epic troll nigger, you.
>He doesn't down sample his mic audio in banana
Fucking pleb
some beyerdynamics dx- overears for everyday use plus some sennheiser IEMs for mp-fps games. My ears get too warm under the beyerdynamics when I play team-shooters so I switch between them
ath-m50x
Partly because they were given to me free when I started work and I liked how much they cut out noise, plus I could wear them for hours and they ddin't hurt my ears at all which was awesome.
why would I do that when i could just get a cheap shitmic
No, I just don't wanna spend a shitton of money on that cause my luck is fucking horrible
>Home
Beyerdynamic DT 770 Studio 80 Ohm
>Street
1More Triple Driver In-Ear
>he plays games on the street
AD700s, I've had them for like 9 years at this point. They're still holding up fine, I swapped out the pads a year or two ago because they were getting a bit dirty.
I also modded in a headphone jack because the wire they came with was a piece of shit that hardens up over time, but now they're perfect.
>in-ear
BASED AND REDPILLED
...
They actually sound really good.
They messed up my order and I got mine 25% off at like $50 instead of $75.
I have to have music or video games playing when I'm in public or I have an anxiety attack. It's really autistic.
I've had those Sony MDR-V6 for years, cheap and good. Still works just fine, but like the Cons say: earpads suck. Those DT250 get fucked pretty pretty fast too.
i went with the sennheiser 58X over the 6XX since it's better out of the box, has more pronounced bass and works better with vidya. it's pretty good
Headphones recently broke, any suggestions for gaming headphones with built in mic?
I had this exact headset and it was so thoroughly shit.
>heavy, itchy, awkwardly shaped for head
>sound was average even for gaymen headset
>mic really distorted, would randomly mute even when I didn't push it up
>buttons on headset rendered useless by poor placement
>stopped working within a year
I use the speakers on my monitor.
To answer the question of what headphones I use, whenever I play tf2 I use the logitech h390, which I only remember the name of because the box is right here next to me. I really only bought it so I could actually communicate with my teammates, as I had not owned a microphone prior to buying it.
>tfw use 7 dollar earphones from supermarket
The volume's kinda low on them though.
using the audiotechnica ad700 but i payed like 250 for them years ago when i got them.. damn if they are 100 now i might get a new pair, these ones are banged up good. great audio though, idk what OP pic is talking about with 'no bass', bass sounds good to me
I use Apple earphones, headphones are bad for your head and anybody who uses them is a fucking giant retard.
I use cheap speakers, I only use a headset in the very rare occasion where I play multiplayer games
that has nothing to do with the headphones, also i seriously hope you're not one of those people who are deaf and listening at 90db+ and thinking it's quiet because i've plugged m50s into computers even without a dedicated amp and they are HELLA loud unless you turn the volume down to under 30
HyperX cloud II
They're M40X and they're fine to listen to, I just wish they got louder for things like movies.
You can get the ATH-M50x for the same price on sale. No reason not to get that one.
amazon.com
This man speaks pure truth. I had a pair for 8 months and the hinge broke, managed to get a free new pair by contacting logitech but the same thing happened a year and a bit later. Can't recall complain since I got 2 years of use out of them but had to complain to get that.
Mah nigga
ciri?
>use sennheiser 598SEs, fucking incredible
>for a mic i use a guitar hero mic that i just plug into the USB
Works surprisingly well
>
I got a Beyerdynamic 990 DT
I used to have big headphones but now I unironicaly use this $15 one because I can't stand putting pressure around my ears/head anymore.
The reason not to get the M50x is that they're too bassy, they're a basshead headphone more than anything else.
sennheiser 559. theyre alright for the price point.
i love my superlux hd681 evo but i broke it in 6 months
mostly my own fault for being rough and abusing it but it has it's own weakness such as being a bit uncomfortable
Whats the problem? They play pc music just fine and sound pretty good/warm.
What are they called? Do they sound warm?
These look nice. What company is this? Do you have an amp/sub?
That just happened to me.
>Buy a pair of turtle beach headphones to play online, and so I can play stuff at night loudly without waking people up
>Have them for about two months before I actually try to use the mic for the first time
>The mic is fucking broken, and now I have to wait for turtle beach customer service to get back to me
Have been using these for years now, you really don't need anything better.
What's a good DAC/Amp?
>he isn't using speakers
>he isn't using a home theatre system for a least $5k to listen to video game audio
Headphones are for little kids.
58X is not better than the 6XX. I don't know where you heard that from. It's not a bad headphone, though.
Seinheissers always broke off around the ears for me. Bought these in hopes its gimmick with the headband means that won't happen.
I use these. They're great. The price is a bit steep but they're worth it.
Encore rockmaster OE
i love these cause they got the metal on the headband and can replace the cord if need be
I used hyper X cloud 2
Hyper X Cloud 2
Beautiful sound and very comfortable. Also good mic
I always just use £5 earbuds from ASDA (Walmart).
For closed comfy accurate cans I recommend HD 569's. Beats the Takstar Pro 82 in everything except the bass is a little bit lighter but less muddier. Every song I listen to reveals more with the Sennheisers.
>cleaning
ety-kids. My place is shit now so vehicle traffic makes my ears hurt if I don't plug them or turn them away from the window. It's much quieter in the city. Suburbs were a mistake.
Circumaural headphones fuck up my skin and get cheesy and gross and replacement pads are expensive and active noise cancellation gimmicks are not nearly as effective as physical isolation.
Superlux HD681 EVO MKII
People in CS are accusing me of Wallhacking and it's just the headphones that are doing their job.
>driving with earphones plugged in
enjoy your car crash faggot
Had these, that audio jack dongle that is supposed to let you change the cable if it breaks breaks even easier than the cable itself. Got a refund and bought CALs instead
>wearing earplugs while driving
go fuck yourself
I pretty much only use headphones when family is staying over.
Got these a couple years ago for a birthday or christmas. Do a decent enough job I guess.
>What does Yea Forums use to listen to game audio?
my ears
My nigger
Yeah I heard that this is the problem sometimes. I have had mine for 4+ months now and they do their job. And I only use them at home and do nothing that could possibly harm them.
got a pair for 3 years now and i can vouche for the sound quality of V-MODA, make sure that you buy the XL size ear pads aswell for maximum comfort.
Got an Arctis 5 2019 for €50 at a local shop's reopening roughly a month ago. I don't care for the RGB shit but aside from that they seem pretty decent.
>tfw bought fidelio x2's last year for comfy gaming
>they are out of production now
Not while driving, at home. It got noisy here.
not my vehicle. Others outside my bedroom window, some without mufflers.
>tfw bought a previously returned pair of Fidelio X2s for 80 dollars at a large electronics store
MD6-V6, had to snag one off ebay for a bit more than I like after they got discontinued but glad I did, I plan to have these ones for many years to come.
Which guitar do you guys use to play Rocksmith?
what's bad about m50x? I have them and they're fantastic, I'd like to know your opinion more.
That's a pleb opinion. Yes it takes more space but the sound quality is unmatched!
the base is nice on explosions.
I don't use headphones, I use speakers
EVERYONE must be made aware of what I am playing
yeah it broke for me and it has no sound on the right anymore
>2012 was 7 years ago
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Not him but. Booming bass that's way too loud with little detail, recessed mid-range, annoying highs. Tiny ass 45mm drivers that sit way to close to your head giving you very little soundstage. Built quality is alright but the pads suck and it has way too much cheap plastic. If you own M50's then you probably don't even know what any of this shit means anyway. Just know that I have a pair this of cheaply built tiny on-ear normie headphones and they sound WAY better.
This.
HD-650 are the best.
Even HD-800 are not an upgrade to them.
I have fairly sensitive ears so I tend to keep my volume quite low, maybe I'm having a different experience than most other people due to this, I have noticed the highs get a bit painful, the pads are pretty shit, I'm on my second ones and I might need to replace again soon, I love the fact that the cable can be replaced easily and the build quality has been the best of all the headphones I've ever owned.
I'm by no means an audiophile or any of that stuff but I try to understand when I can, you don't have to be a cunt about explaining things.
also I cant wear on ears because it gets painful when my ears press into my glasses.
If you have any suggestions for quality headphones that have a cable replacement method I'd be all ears
i use m50 but they still pinch me after 5 years
Your little retarded brother expects every single nose to have massive bass warbles on it thanks to shit like Skullcandy.
I've used M50x for years. Really nice, but I bought Sennheiser HD600 last Thursday and it's really quite a difference (as it should be).
If you have a bunch of needs that most headphone manufacturers don't address like sensitive ears and glasses then you should just try out headphones in a store. If you don't you could get fucked over with some serious comfort issues.
>missed out on the old lsr305 when they were going for 99€
>the new ones have that ugly, shiny surface and cost 145€ each
I'm too cheap to buy them at that price. Sale when?
You know you can change the tone, yes? Just scale the bass back. They're not nearly as heavy on the bass as my bookshelf speakers, anyway.
I have these twice, with and without Bluetooth
Some Creative active speaker system with a woofer that I bought 14 years ago. It's no good but I'm too cheap to put money into anything else and I wouldn't even know what to go for anyway.
I used Steelseries Siberia until they broke a year ago but now I no longer live in a commieblock so I never want to go back to wearing a headset again.
Superlux HD681 indeed
yeah I have been fucked over before with things like that, unfortunately there arent many stores where I live that can provide this kind of service with anything but shitty beats or meme headphones.
That's why I try to rely on reviews and recommendations from people online.
Frankly I'm shocked that these m50x have survived almost 4 years since all the fucking "gaming headsets" would fall apart around my ears after 6-8 months or the cable would die.
These are super comfy
The TV, because I'm not some PC gamer weirdo.
Turtle Beach PLa
Sennheiser HD 500's are your best friend. Good mid centric sound, nothing too fatiguing.
retard
Got the exact same ones and I'm really liking them.
They fight neck and neck with the m40x, the m40x only gets better if you swap the fucking shit pads, so that's a 40$ price increase plus 20$ for the pads. Not worth.
I live with other people so I got some really nice open back Sennheisers, was totally worth it because I can plug it in my pc via aux but I can also switch out to the 6.3mm cable to plug into my record player to listen to vinyl.
GOAT
My home theater speakers
microlab b77 but sometimes I also use my fluid fx8 for gaming
HyperX are great. Only decent headsets out there.
I just use the headphones that came with my HTC years back. Still the best headphones I've ever used, and I've used a lot.
Those aren't headphones, you imbecile.
Do you at least have a sound bar or something other than default TV speakers?
hands down the only good gaymen headset out there to this day
alphas aren't worth the money despite the mic being better
Fine, earphones. Semantics, who gives a fuck.
I'm thinking about buying a pair and at the moment I can't decide between HyperX Cloud II, Logitech G533, Corsair VOID PRO RGB or SteelSeries Arctis 7, which one should I get?
I don't care about it being a "GAYMUNG HEADSET", but I want it to have an integrated microphone since I can't be bothered dealing with a standalone one.
It isn't semantics. Earphones go into ears, and headphones sit on heads.
HyperX or bust.
How foolish of me to make this mistake without thinking of all the terrible consequences
These with GSX 1000
Fight me and me ridiculously over priced set.
But yeah, I like them, my last sennheiser hd280's lasted me for over 10 years. They still work fine.
To all the /m/ here, is amp really needed for good audio experience? I wanna buy a headphone in the future and have the best quality I could muster
DT 990 Pro, op.
>To all the /m/ here
Sony WH-1000XM3
Noise cancelling so cant hear pc fan noise. Next computer I'm going to get an I9 and overclock it and run the fans full blast.
This. Everything else is inferior
Okay, you've convinced me. It also seems to be the cheapest.
i use iems because headphones hurt my ears
fuck the earwax buildup though
They looked like crabs
This, I stole it from my workplace.
>monoprice 8323
hah I have that.
works great. it never laves my computer desk, though. I doubt it is durable enough to carry it around. It's all plastic and would probably break.
mdr-7506
*Yea Forums
Is it true you need a discrete audio card to make the most of anything above a sennheiser 6xx?
DT 990, it's fucking garbage, the thing was falling apart quickly even though I take care of my stuff. The cans were too heavy for the plastic frame and the leather started leaking it's black paint (what the hell)
Had no idea which brand to trust anymore for headphone that aren't 400$+, so I ended up backing some kikestarter headphones with aluminum drivers mostly because of the huge discount, but I'm still waiting for them. In any case I'll never buy "budget" headphone from the bigger headphone brands ever again. Fuck Beyer too.
The Arctis range by Steelseries are the ones I've found that don't mess with my glasses the most. Good sound and mic quality too
Dean Tyrant Splatter, the one with the improved pickups not the cheap £500 one
Yes, it's absolutely true. Buy the most expensive one.
No, you get a dac and an amp instead.
Faggot edition is better tho
>headphones
Enjoy your tinnitus.
You think this is a meme but you you'll be crying yourself to sleep in 8 years.
Only if you're blasting music and noises on max, otherwise no. Been using headphones 10+ years now, never got tinnitus user
Don't turn up your volume all the way retard.
What are some decent speakers for $40 or under?
is there an actual point to having cables like this or is it just audiophile memes?
It's memes.
The difference between an analog and a digital source is much more significant.
I use the audiophile setup I have, I'm not a tryhard using headphones and thinking I'm actually good when I suck at games, just as everybody else here
Thanks for reminding me I have it.
I use Takstar PRO 82, pretty alright.
Nice. I like HyperX. I got a mislabeled Cloud Revolver set for around 40 big ones at Best Buy a few years ago. I love these things.
So whats the best one?
what do you drive them with?
Beyerdynamic DT 770 are the thinking man's option.
>reading comprehension: 0
I dont understand how I manage to fuck up the wires in every pair of headphones I get
my current set just now broke and the audio in the right ear doesn't come out unless the wire is in a certain spot
I know how to fix it and all I just don't get how it keeps happening
Get a modmic
Not having to deal with recharging or batteries all the time. Also not having a Wireless transmitter like a mobile phone near your brain and constantly on all the time.
Sennheiser HD650
What amp/dac do you power them with?
I dont really know the name. I'm using a Pioneer amp that I also use for my 5.1 speaker system on my TV.
That's not a valid question. It's like asking what does the color blue smell like.
Don't judge me
Finally someone posted it. You CAN NOT beat these for the price. The only "downside" is it leaks noise like crazy. Its almost unfair to compare these to any other headphones here.
outta my fucking way plebs
Kek
>ive broken both headphone jacks on my PC after its gets caught on something/I accidentally walk to far
no I mean the fuckoff huge cables that look like anacondas
>goes for the expensive option when the DT770 are better
dt 770s
>headphones are for dumb normalfags and redditors
>patricians use speakers or earphones
I have a Canton Chrono 5.1 speaker set for home cinema and normal gayming, but you need headphones + mic when playing with others since they don't seem very enthused about hearing their own voices back or when watching porn.
