If it's good it'll sell. if not it won't.
Sounds like the free market working as intended.
>its an episode of retard goes out of his way to look for a garbage game that wont ever be on the frontpage
>with unique graphics
lmao
reminder that steam had literal uncensored animated loli getting dicked (as game trailer) on the store frontpage in the popular releases section
GOG has proper curation.
What can Epic offer me that GOG cant?
and what's the problem?
does that mean Steam will get banned in the UK?
Steam just needs better filters, right now you can't exclude negative rating games or exclude games by tag, or exclude games with no reviews, or any other thing to make searching for games easier.
Based
curation is a stupid meme
>"I want to buy anime panty quest 4"
>type in "anime panty quest 4" in search bar
>go directly to its page
how is this hard? how does it even matter if there's a million shitty games I don't care about and will never look at?
Why does steam need it? It's not like devs submit shit games and you constantly see low quality games everywhere. I would have never seen or heard of this game if you didn't post the pic of it 2bh. Same goes for a lot of shovelware.
>tfw bought it but dont want my friends to see me playing it
you're on the wrong site for this to affect anyone here
MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT
You have to go put of your way to find this stuff. I have never come across complete garbage like asset flips and NotAVirus.exe just browsing the storefront or the queue.
>And this game have idle system that you can let MaoMao auto exploration by herself
Sounds neat.
I want Valve to go 2 ways: Either full-on curation mode. Every game that is submitted is being played by curators from start to finish making sure that it's well polished and assigns the appropriate genre tags.
or
Anything goes as long as it doesn't break any laws. But assigning proper tags is part of the submission process and if the dev doesn't do it right it gets instantly denied.
what's wrong with that?
It's not steam's job to prevent stupid people from buying shitty games
/thread
And that's a good thing!
>indies complained that Steam was hard to get on
>Steam implements Greenlight
>indies still complain that it’s hard to get on Steam
>Steam says fuck it and opens the flood gates
>”wtf volvo now my shitty game is drowned by other shitty games!”
Reminder that no matter what Steam does, journos and faggy devs will always complain.
Maybe I don't know I want anime panty quest 4, maybe I'm trying to look up a game with similar features but all the crap in the search makes so I don't see anime panty quest 4.
Using search used to be a nice game discovery tool.
JUST
Didnt expect that dab. good chuckle
>Sounds like the free market working as intended.
this
stay mad and irrelevant epic cucks
i want to exclude the games that have been flagged EGS exclusives
window shopping has always been retarded. research what you want to buy outside the store and then go to the store to buy it. it's not the store's fault you're an idiot. I'm pretty sure you can sort by review score or most popular too. how is it that I never have any problem finding what I want on amazon even when I type something like "blender" even though there are millions of shitty products for sale on it?
No, diddling kids is the UK's national sport.
doesn't seem like a problem to me
There's an entire internet full of web sites and forums to help you discover games in any given genre. Stores deciding what you are able to buy based on what they think you will like is the worst possible solution to the problem you're describing.
Creating a second Steam account is free, so this is a conundrum of your own making.
Aren't there settings to make that private?
>HOW AM I SUPPOSE TO KNOW WHAT TO BUY IF THERE ARE A BUNCH OF GAMES!?
E3 was made for brainlets like you.
They paid to get their game in the store and they have it you retard, it's going to sell like shit because it probably sucks but they have the right to because that's how the market works
stop typing li t-
you fucking ret-
>too intelligent to like the free market
Is this supposed to be an point against steam?
this is literally the equivalent of going in to your local market, finding a stall that sells crap and then crying about it
You literally have to go out of your way to find that shit
yeah, this might be problematic for raging homosexuals like you
This is NPCs we're talking about here, they need to be forcefeed what to play by the media or some shit.
