What went wrong?
One of the most anticipated games of all time
Other urls found in this thread:
It was a bad game.
Nobody wants to admit how the final entry of a beloved series that they waited 13 years for is a literal 3/10. It's better to forget.
/thread
It really wasn't t hat anticipated, maybe by a small group of super hardcore, but loud, fans.
>Forgotten a month after release
You remembered it enough to make a thread.
They realized Kingdom Hearts is kinda awkward, clumsy, and boring in pretty much everything it does.
I think this was it. KH3 was the game that killed the series and any potential popularity growth. people will never be hyped for another entry in the series again.
It's very mediocre but most kh fans don't want to admit it
It would be discussed more if it was "bad."
The truth is that it was disappointing after the quality of 1 and 2 and the build up of all the side stories. Mediocrity is harder to talk about that pure "Good" and pure "bad" games
t. still on the denial stage
But who am I to judge? I'm still stuck on anger and I will be forever until I harness my righteous fury directly into Nomura's eye sockets.
>"Forgotten"
>Yet still remembers to remake the same thread day after day after day
KH3 is the new BotW, isn't it?
about than*
It's a mix of two things
>KH having like ten spin-off titles inbetween KH2 and KH3, so the wait wasn't really anything special
>People waiting through all those spin-offs for a game to be even HALF as good as KH2, but never getting it
More like Dingdong Farts
hehe
>t. still on the denial stage
I don't really care either way. I was never that much of a fan.
This but unironically.
Does KH even have a future? Legit question. Even Nomura seems to be dubious about this. The game sold well, but I think even Nomura knows it's just because of "Oh my god it's Kingdom Hearts THREEEEEE!!!!" After this? Will it continue to easily sell on just name alone? I for one don't feel a 'need' to buy the next set of games. I feel like I got my closure, it wasn't satisfactory but I experienced KH3 and that's it, and fuck the DLC.
You keep making threads about it, so it's clearly not forgotten.
>KH3 was the game that killed the series and any potential popularity growth
Game took too long to make. And as far as popularity growth goes? You try telling a newcomer that you need to play all those collections to understand KH3's story set up. They're not going to bother unless at first glance they are Disney fans in which case they may give it a shot and even then there's a chance they'll stop mid-way.
>Does KH even have a future?
KH3 severed any good will that the franchise had it with its fans. It's dead, for better or worse.
It's a Square Enix titan like Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest, it sells based on name now too
>First half of the game is spent doing absolutely nothing relevant to anything
Who thought this was a good idea?
>first half
Try first seven eighths.
Why the fuck were there zero human boss fights until keyblade graveyard? They're the most fun boss fights in the series and KH2 gives you like five of them straight off the bat.
We could have occasionally fought the organization members in the disney worlds without actually killing them.
He says until the next game comes out
>He thinks there's another game coming out
>It would be discussed more if it was "bad."
Well considering it was in fact bad, your theory there just got destroyed...
Every game with a long dev time is destined to be shit
>Duke Nukem Forever
>SPORE
>FF-XV
>The Last Guardian
>KHIII
Nothing can live up to the hype.
TLG was good, though.
It wasn't bad though. If you think KH3 is a bad game, then I know you've never actually played a shitty video game. It was mediocre at worst, inoffensive at best.
You stupid, stupid man
No amount of shitposting will stop it
You can't do anything
Pretty sure the next saga is going to focus more on Square worlds rather than Disney. Sure, they'll add some of the wanted disney worlds that haven't shown up before, but they have more content to draw from.
>a lot of people weren't fond of BH6 (when we could have gotten Incredibles) or Tangled or worse Frozen
Frozen was complete ass, BH6 was okay, saved by the fact that it had at least an original story and we got TJ Miller to voice act in a KH game.
But I'm pretty sure everyone loved the Tangled world, it was extremely comfy even if it was just a corridor and a retelling of the movie.
>Gameplay is overall mediocre since not every game plays like KH2FM
Pretty unfortunate about this, but at least KH3's combat felt fresh despite being underwhelming. The true crime of it is how everything is auto combo'd and it's basically just mashing X. It's like playing bayonetta on easy mode.
I think even BBS & DDD's combat were better, sadly, since you actually chose your special moves.
But people loved Team Fortress 2, LA Noire, and Shenmue. From a quick glance those are 3 of 10 games on a highest dev time list. Don't know how accurate it is, but still...
>TLG was good, though.
Even if I agreed with you, I'd argue that TLG was a huge step down from ICO and Shadow of the Colossus, which released more than a decade before. It did not live up to the decade of hype.
Leak Washa's Aqua animation Patreon exclusives already!
>1/10 difficulty
>not bad
>3/10 story
>not bad
Sorry but this game is definitely bad...
Attractions ruined the combat.
It does nothing spectacular compared to the other games the dev made, especially for how much longer it took for release it.
Also ChobixPho's comics.
>He didn't do a level 1 Proud mode run
Post discarded.
You do realize bad implies its near unplayable, looks terrible, sounds terrible, the works.
You're baiting at this point. It was a shitty story, not a shitty game.
I'll concede that Team Fortress 2 may have been good, but only because I've never played it.
LA Noire and Shenmue are objectively bad games, though, regardless of how many people liked them.
This
>objectively
I don't think you know what this word means.
But we already know TWEWY shibuya will be in the next game. And there's also stuff like Atlantis and Treasure planet. And definitely incredibles.
>You do realize bad implies its near unplayable, looks terrible, sounds terrible, the works.
No. A game could have flawless presentation and tight controls but be ruined by being too easy or having a shit story, which is applicable to KH3
Word, it's baffling there's no way to disable them entirely. I'm not a mouse hater or anything but it's clear that disney had far too much creative control on this game, and it lowered the quality in a few areas pretty dramatically.
Fuck the frozen team, especially.
Frozen 2 trailer looks great though.
That doesn't make a bad game though. Mario games are piss easy and have shit stories, but nobody in their right mind would call them bad.
L2, don't hit the Heartless with the green circle until it expires
I think I do. Prove me wrong by proving La Noire and Shenmue aren't objectively bad. Keep in mind, I have a folder full of forklift pics to rebut you.
>have shit stories
Wrong.
fpbp
Because they're objectively good games.
user its 3 months post release
>You're talking to someone who didn't like Tangled
Well then no shit you wouldn't like the world.
It had a comfy aesthetic and my favorite overworld music of the game, that's why I liked it. I hadn't seen the movie beforehand. Also the boss battle was pretty good.
>have to go out of your way to AVOID hitting enemies so as to not break the game
Nigger, just make it an ability.
>Mario games are piss easy
continue crying, Snoyfag
The game was forgotten after the first week, user.
They're going to run out of popular shit eventually, at that point they're going to scrounge whatever movies they can because even they know shipping a game with 4 worlds won't end well.
user, calm down. If you hate disney so much then why play kingdom hearts games lol
It takes 10 seconds off not hitting that specific one and you can press L2 anyway
>KH3 didn't have a single good boss figh-
I can't even remember who this was.
Imagine being this mad over Disney movies.
Again, you shouldn't have to be forced to do that shit when it's an easy toggle to just turn it off with an ability.
>continue crying
ironic. botw is a mediocre game, get over it.
>you shouldn't have to be forced to press a single button
97
Exactly, having to press a button or go out of your way to not break the combat is bad balance.
It isn't even the last entry. Already been confirmed after the DLC there is more of another story.
It never was "one of the most anticipated games" of any time. Games like Starcraft 2 were far more wanted.
This but unironically.
There weren't enough worlds. And it doesn't help the last two Disney worlds were open-world-ish when we all wanted to rush to the ending.
>Game that fans have been waiting for over a decade
>Not one of the most anticipated games
Your denial is shown.
What went wrong was that literally nothing of value aside from Vanitas getting Yeeted happened until Keyblade Graveyard.
also shit like
>Every single member and Nort has their own moveset and desperation moves in the game
>You only get to experience this in a clusterfuck of a fight
>Sora just forgives Xehanort for imploding Kairi
>That lame as fuck secret movie that Nomura was so careful of not getting leaked that he actually locked it behind a patch until every region owned the game
>No critical mode
>Magic is too abusable
>Re-used keyblades
>Winnie the pooh was 5 minutes long with 3 games of bejeweled
>Thinking that cooking minigame was engaging in even the slightest
>that disaster of a tangled world WHERE THE THREE MAIN CHARACTERS ACCOMPLISHED NOTHING AND WAS NOT THE CENTER PART OF THE WORLD
>Those akward as fuck movie cutscenes from the frozen world
>Big Hero 6 was really hyped up but ended up being one map and a world that was an hour long at most
>Secret boss was easily the easiest in the series, And was only a regular ass heartless whose moveset didnt change at all for 3 whole phases
>Half of twillight town is just GONE
>Hollow Bastion is nowhere to be seen
>3 very important characters dont even talk but are still included in cutscenes and conversations
>Kairi has a whole timechamber training montage built up the entire game but just eats shit the moment she has to fight at all
>The dark aqua fight had too little health and was heavily underwhelming
>Aqua not pulling out a barrier to shield Ventus was the dumbest shit ive seen
And that's just at the top of my head, To say the game was a disappointment is an understatement.
t. mad
Easy.
Then again platformers are my best genre, and I've been playing them my entire life, but yeah, I've never felt challenged in a mario game outside of Luigi's purple coins and the bonus level in Galaxy 2 or 3D world (can't remember which.)
>3 very important characters dont even talk but are still included in cutscenes and conversations
Who?
why do you people think games have an infinite amount of discussion?
does mommy only let you buy 1 game a year?
Eh, it was alright, doesn't compare to Xemnas at all though.
>>Aqua not pulling out a barrier to shield Ventus was the dumbest shit ive seen
Nah that scene where everyone jobbed to Terranort and then died was way worse. It likes they all had their IQ dropped.
It wasn't a very good game tbqhwyf. Super mediocre.
>Forgotten
>Daily threads about KH 3 every single day
What a fucking retard you are
it was a 6/10 or 7/10 game that fanboys will say is 10/10, and faggots that jumped on the bandwagon of playing the game without playing any others will say was a 1/10 unplayable mess.
KH3 made a lot of mistakes that it really shouldn't have, since they were all mistakes that were made with other games in the series such as the piss easy difficulty, triangle to win spam, etc.
It's clear that it was released as is so that they can charge extra for final mix content, because Square has been absolutely fucked lately. The game can easily be improved with final mix like KH2 was, but the problem is that KH3 has more problems than just the combat. The game sold well, but it was at the cost of a lot of the faith and loyalty that a lot of people had for the series, and I'm curious to see what the sales for the next game will be.
>KH3 spent more time making more plot hooks than the ones that it resolved
>Cockteasing with certain plot hooks that never get resolved, or are outright ignored (Black box, buildup from past games like everything in DDD unless you believe in a fujoshipping fan theory, etc.)
>excessive violation of the "show don't tell" rule for storytelling. The fucking mobile game has a better handling on the story.
>Poor Voice Acting, even for KH standards. It was incredibly clear that people were kept in the dark about their lines with how some of them are conveyed, and Donald Duck in particular was probably recording all of his lines in a single day. You can hear his exhaustion in some parts of the game.
>Story pacing was objectively garbage. KH1 had a steady flow with highs and lows, KH2 had an obvious halfway point with the battle of hallow bastion, KH3 has you twiddling your dick for 90% of the game until you're done with disney worlds and get thrown into a bunch of plot fights
there were a few characters that were just there but never talked. user might be referring to characters like Phil/Namine/some Old Org characters
Will 2 ever be topped?
Aeleus, Dilan and arguably Phil
They all appear in several scenes but never speak a word, Worst is Aeleus and Dilan because they're refered to several times and the camera even takes time to focus on them only for them to nod and smile.
Oh right Xaldin and Lexaeus, he said important to the plot so I thought one of the darknesses or lights.
forgot to add that Namine did talk, but it was in a completely missable cutscene in The Final World where she was a Star so a lot of people weren't aware of it.
that cutscene really should not have been optional considering how much it helps explain what the fuck even happens after that world

Quick question, should I emulate KH2 or play the ps3 HD version? Any downgrades?
I had hoped 3 would end the curse, but no.
At this point, 1 and 2 are lightning in a bottle quality, the rest are just standard AAA affair.
Recoded would've topped it if not for the game being flooded with minigames instead of letting you play the core game
KH3 would've topped it if not for the piss easy difficulty, though I'll wait and see how the critical mode patch is before deciding on that
PS4 version
PS3 has fucktons of loading for no reason, and broken RCs
blame square for not letting Nomura have his old team back together. He specifically asked for them and got them all to work on the game for a very brief time while the game was still on the luminous engine, but then they got pulled away to work on other shit like FF15 and FF7R
It didn't deliver.
Nigga we're just waiting for Critical Mode and Final Mix dlc. All the potential memes have been made, all the loose ends have been tied up, all the big youtubers gave their opinions.
What else would there be to talk about?
>△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△
And yet you can't seem to get over it.
Far more wanted? Nobody but fat ass white dudes and some koreans even cared.
Most of the game save for the ending was boring and the game had no postgame content. The core combat can't carry it and even if it could there's nothing to fight past level 40
t. didn't play critical
You're confusing KH2 with KH3.
Too much, but let me just tell you one of the major reasons
>"Lol I surrender actually had good intentions despite causing countless genocides accross the universe and murdering your waifu."
>"Now to fuck of to the afterlife with my assbuddy as teenagers."
>didn't play critical
>definitely didn't play level 1 critical
Why live
I fucking hate all the attraction flow finished garbage that takes like 20 seconds to do some animation.
normies didn't play the non-numbered games and didn't realize how bad the series got
Why did Nomura give him a good ending? I still don't get it.
Does hitting an attraction giving Heartless with one of those free team attacks count? Could you theoretically beat the game hitting nothing but triangle?
Seems you havent watched enough shounen
Because of "muh idealism".
It's fucking insulting when you have a game revolving around the Disney mythos, where almost all of their company-made villains meet their respective comeuppances, usually death, for much smaller-level atrocities (Fucking Lady Tremaine was blown to bits in BBS.), yet the one with possibly the highest killcount in the history of the company gets off scott-free.
And before you mention stuff like Pinocchio, the villains weren't properly punished because they were more of "corrupting forces" that the titular character was getting manipulated by.
This.
What about Fist of The North Star and Jojo? In those each villain meets their respective deaths (Though a large amount of them try to die with dignity in FOTNS.).
Both of them are exceptions, but you'll that most older shounen like JoJo and FotNS follow vastly different formulas and tropes compared to modern day shounen. KH and other JRPGs are more like the modern day ones.
At least in your typical shonen they give the character a significant backstory that tugs at the heart strings to humanize the bastards
Example: Nagato/Pain from Naruto. Yeah, he becomes remorseful and "good" but we get a lot of context as to why he did what he did, and he argued his point nearly until his death.
What did Xehanort get? He said he was sorry.
Awesome.
No it wasn't.
I fucking hate card bullshit but I've gotten away with my inefficient playstyle up until this annoying cunt. I hate having to compare cards while on the fly but I feel like I probably could git gud if I gave a damn. Is the rest of the game worth it?
>What did Xehanort get? He said he was sorry.
And even then he proceeds to then happily fuck off to the afterlife with his buddy he helped kill.
I hope Nomura dies in a fire.
Just abuse 0's.
Main Story is fine, but god help you if you try to Plat the damn thing.
It can be a drag if you're not a fan of OCD micromanaging
Obito exists in the same series
I only have one in my deck at the moment because I made the mistake of Premiuming (aka fucking ruining forever thanks for the beginners trap) my first one. Should I have more?
Obito definitely has an asspull turn, but he definitely got more backstory and justification for his acts
>hates war and what it does to people
>manipulated by Madara
>yada yada yada
It's still more than what Xehanort got.
Specially the music. The 3 final boss themes in KH3 are too samey, drakness of the unknown had better variation
terrible combat, unbearable writing and voice acting
>one of the most anticipated games of all time
No one outside of the autistic fanbase cared, actually.
>unbearable writing
This.
I can't remember the Xehanort themes at all, but the 3v3 fight was a killer mashup imo
It really wasn't bad. Just not worth 13 fucking years of waiting.
Then all you need is one more. During the fight, blow every card you've got, until you only have two 0's. Then just dodge and counter.
I don't really remember much music from KH3 at all actually, besides the Kingdom of Corona field theme oddly enough.
Half of it is remixed from other games, a fourth of it is remixed from movie themes, and the other fourth is completely forgettable
>Its a fucking another why was x popular game forgotten thread
No game in existence is worth that anticipation.
Ahem.
True. I think that's probably the worst part about KH3. It doesn't stand on it's own in any area.
peoplw are more obsessed over a projection of an idea of something than the actual thing.
this is also why you can't get over your ex or that girl you like
this, even if the voice acting was cheesy and bad in previous entries kh3 was one of the most poorly acted games this decade. not to mention half the original cast fucking died because it took so long to release so all we were left with were poor impersonators or nothing in the case of phil
What?
Because outside of the most autistic hardcore fanbase most people don't know or care who half of the character introduced after KH2 are. Also nu-Disney and lack of FF involvement is a little boring. If you're going to make spin-offs, make them self-contained intead of hacking off bits of the mainline story. Not everyone wants to go through 17 extra titles just to receive exposition to understand what the fuck is going on in the world.
Nioh started development in 2004.
time to gamble on moogle shops I guess
>forgotten
Yeah I keep forgetting we get this thread every fucking single day.
Absolutely not. Remember Duke Nukem Forever? No way in hell that game would ever match the 14 year hype that shit had.
>>Forgotten a month after release
whatever you say, Barry.
I'm waiting for DLC.
Plus barry posting ruined these threads.
>Just not worth 13 fucking years of waiting.
>game announced in 2013
>13 years of waiting
your shitty meme makes no sense
>Absolutely not. Remember Duke Nukem Forever? No way in hell that game would ever match the 14 year hype that shit had.
Or the 10 years of Hype for FFXV, which ended up being a fucking mess and incomplete, even after 2 years DLC (would be more but SE said "no more XV DLC")
No one cares I'm sure. Nioh didn't come onto everyone's radar until after the demo released.
And people had been waiting since 2005 for a proper follow up.
Why did they get rid of all the ff characters again? The blend between them and Disney characters was the only reason I picked up 1 and 2
Nomura thought he was hot shit and his OC's could carry the hype on their own.
This
The best PS4 exclusive.
Which in hindsight, was a mistake, because KH2 had a very good ending. Felt final.
>your shitty meme makes no sense
Yeah it was announced in 2013, but I'm keeping in mind that people have been waiting for KH3 since 2005. That's where I got the 13 years from.
>(would be more but SE said "no more XV DLC")
Oh that still fucking bothers me.
>Which in hindsight, was a mistake, because KH2 had a very good ending. Felt final.
this. KH1 - CoM - KH2 was a perfect trilogy. Everything else felt like the current state of the Star Wars universe after the original trilogy
Looks like we're getting more Darkqua gangbang SFM at least, with a new challenger.
They grew up and realized Nomura got lucky with the first entry which was the only good one.
Nomura changed his opinion overtime. He hated xehanort and loved sora, now he hates sora and loves xehanort. The difference between endings in 2 and 3 back this up.
kh2fm is universally praised as the best though
The first entry had the luxury of having one of the people who worked on FFT and Vagrant Story as an event designer.
The story telling got exponentially worse after his departure.
Yes for a single aspect, KH1 is best because all of it is good.
There is nothing to talk about it really. Everyone played it, discussed what was to be discussed about the story, and moved on to other things.
KH2 is better in every way.
KH2 exploration and platforming are SHIT.
Except level design and exploration, two of the most important things for a platformer/RPG.
No way.
If it wasn’t for the Secret movie in kh2, there wouldn’t have been this much hype. People want more kh because of the story and a bit of the gameplay and when there’s hint that there will be another game, fans lose their shit. Kh3 wasn’t the end
>for a single aspect
>combat is significantly better and you have more options
>gummi shit VASTLY superior to 1
>way more bosses with way more unique kits tied to them
kh1 might have done some things better than 2 but 2 was better in more than just a single aspect
KH3's secret ending fills me with dread honestly. Nomura needs to learn restraint.
Like most of the big projects that Square was and is juggling it was in development hell until they got fed up and cut their losses with it and shoved it out the door ready or not
THE MOON EXHILARATES ME
yeah. As much as I like the series, it needs to end at some point
6 years between announcement and release is "development hell"?
now post the version where sora isn't moving
except he still takes damage
You mean KH2 final mix?
What's there to discuss? It's the last game in the story fans were interested in and anything after the ending is uninteresing.
Hurt is a noun as well as an adjective
Yes, but the common sense term is "pain", maybe even "loss".
Nobody fucking says "I do know hurt." outside of a literal toddler.
2FM is the best in the series but 2 is way better than 1 in all except Disney integration and platforming. Luckily, 2 was never advertised as a platformer!
Fuck KHUX. Retards keep saying it is super relevent yet they cannot relate how it matters to 3, and UX updates omce a month if that with 3 minute textscenes.
>Nomura thought he was hot shit and his OC's could carry the hype on their own.
Well he's wrong. And besides FF characters when not bastardized in KH are more likable and popular than KH's OCs.
>Fuck KHUX. Retards keep saying it is super relevent yet they cannot relate how it matters to 3,
Because it doesn't outside that shitty key of my blade sequence. The same way Coded is completely inconsequential beyond this one sentence
khux is ever so slightly more relevant to 3 than coded. you have the foretellers and the keyblade war in 3, as well as marluxia's somebody. you just have the one line in coded
Did you watch the epilogue?
That line made perfect since in it's context. Why are you pretending to be retarded?
80% of the game is filler
20% the rest is used to solve everything the spin offs created
There was 0% chance did ends amazing
>you have the foretellers
Who showed up at the end and won't actually be a thing until 4.
>and the keyblade war in 3
Of which no mention to UX is made, this is Xehanort's Keyblade War, not MoM's.
>as well as marluxia's somebody
Another throwaway line that won't matter until 4.
>3 years after it was released, and it's still not finished. And was abandoned by its own developer
Where did it go wrong?
Yeah, but KH fans aren't exactly the best at thinking.
The only argument I hear about KH2 (then FM eventually) being the best is "OMG THE COMBAT SYSTEM HAS A LOT OF STUFF IN IT!" and conveniently leaving out the other parts of the game - which most of them are quite poor in comparison.
Nigga the previous line was abotu Data Sora being a simulation to see if the IRL Sora was "ready to face the hurt inside" him. but even then, it would.make better common sense to say the pain. Those hearts inside werent actively hurting - Xion was just a glob of memories, Roxas accepted his fate in 2, and Ven was being a cuck the entire time literally watching Sora bang Kairi. Sora's BS connections to Aqua through Ven didnt matter, and literally no one knew what Terra looked like let alone where he could be.
Braig/Luxu shows up with his four retards-in-arms and says "I hope you like long stories". Has nothing to do with UX, because even UX hasnt touched on the topic of Luxu/amom's intentions.
Too bad UX talks about the Keyblade War (1.0) and then the Keyblade War (2.0).
Look at this little murderer
>Data Sora being a simulation to see if the IRL Sora was "ready to face the hurt inside" him
So did Sora absorb DS off screen before DDD or something? Or did they just let him know that "hey Roxas and Xion are still silently screaming inside you to be let out"?
Look at this litt--*gets bodied by Terranort*
Sora finds out about R&X during DDD
Yes.
>didn't play Bloodborne
Kingdom Hearts has finished its descent into Sonic the Hedgehog level
It did that a while ago.
how EMBARRASSING
>Sora finds out about R&X during DDD
Right, but that was completely by accident and it's not like Yen Sid or Mickey told him. But Data Sora proved he was ready to face the hurt so why didn't they tell him anything?
>your shitty meme makes no sense
Except that literally everyone knew that a KH3 was going to appear due to the secret ending
>BUT DA SECRET ENDING WAS BBS
I never said that the secret ending was specifically KH3, just that a KH3 was going to happen, which means it was actually a 13 year wait.
Why is xion pronounced as sheon instead of zion
It's like if xemnas was shemnas
>It did that a while ago.
>both games have a sledding mini game
>THEY COPIED EACH OTHER
So I guess KH3 also copied SSX since they both have a snowboarding segment
the director was a fucking hack. The combat system was dogshit because he WANTED it to pander to casuals
Kingdom hearts had been a part of my life, a major part of it since I met my first online friends at the time by that game (2002 I think) I used it to get better at drawing when I was young because I liked the designs of sora and Donald for some reason. But, Kingdom hearts 3 was such a disappointment that I'm trying to forget that it exists. I appreciate kingdom hearts for the good times it gave me long ago but a shit game to me is still shit. I don't want to acknowledge what I played and waited for, I low key knew it would fail because of the development hell that FFXV went through.
>claims that KH3 got forgotten a month after release
>makes a thread about it everyday
Seriously, you need help.
I had some hope for KH3 because it was having a different director than the one who ruined FFXV (and was eventually fired from SE because XV alone cost SE $33 MILLION last year)
>shemnas
Sora didn't really forgive Xehanort. Sora even stated that that his whole "I'm actually a good guy all along" was a load of crap for all the nonsense he pulled. He just got utterly defeated so he was no longer a threat. Eraqus was the one who forgave him and took him to Keyblade Heaven when he had no reason to do so.
Says the shill who makes Sora for Smash threads everyday because he can't handle getting BTFO by Erdrickchads
Cringe
Based
>Does KH even have a future?
Yes, they just need to keep Nomura away from the script and hire a competent writer.
>Only now do I notice Xehanort's face and beard.
It looks so fucking goofy.
oh jesus christ that's so much worse i can't unsee it
i thought his head transformed
fpbp
I see that you are already beyond help.
This game is so easy even on proud... Jafar + Ars Arcanum and 0 cards break the game.
Bring in a western SJW?
>hire a competent writer
Like who?
At least they would make Kairi less pathetic
Taro
I admit that I would be intrigued.
I laughed.
>farming the last 4 cards for platinum Re:CoM
>fucking Knight and Jellyfish cunt wont drop after 100+ fights/killing them last
>Barrel Spider shits are random spawns + shitty drop chance = HELL
>Wyverns appear every 10th fight on HB
I JUST WANT TO PLAY KH2
I had fun. Just waiting on the Xion DLC
Was KH2 a happy accident?
Literally anyone but Nomura. All of Nomura’s recent projects (Versus XIII, KH3, VII Remake) all wound up in development hell due to his incompetence. Not only that, but the man has also lost his mind, one minute he says something and the next he wants to change everything. He wanted to make Versus XIII a musical on a whim, constantly change do KH3’s ending only to settle on the shit we got, and decided to make VII Remake episodic. He needs to be fired.
>What went wrong?
Quite literally everything. Even as a fan service send off it was pretty shitty especially considering the main trio never got their arcs resolved since they need to be throne into more sequel bait.
>He wanted to make Versus XIII a musical on a whim
I'd have liked to see that, might have actually made the game entertaining.
It's not a really good game.
Definitely will win best OST for the year though.
>Quite literally everything.
The soundtrack was pretty good.
I still haven't finished the game
that tangled world killed all motivation i had to complete the game
Can i just skip all the garbage disney world cut scenes and only watch the final world and miss no story?
That’s because a majority of the tracks are reused or remixes. KH3 definitely had a lot of music mishandling though, you hear some tracks for not even a whole minute before it switches to the next. And sometimes the music isn’t even looped properly in the game, while sometimes it just sounds completely off.
Pretty much everything until Sora goes to the Realm of Darkness is filler, exposition about past games, or the Organization waxing cryptic aboug stuff they're doing in the background.
Actually yes. Unlike other KH games there's no midpoint nor pacing of any sort. You can safely skip until the final world without missing anything.
And everything after the Realm Of Darkness is shit, and shit fanservice.
>activate moves that gives you years of invincibility
bosses were still fun, diverse, and worked well with the combat system
>3/4ths of the game was pointless filler
What did Nomura mean by this?
o thank god
>while sometimes it just sounds completely off.
Fucking Monster's Inc. They had fitting music for the first cutscene and then it just became shit immediately after.
How hard will Yea Forums shit on the VII remake?
>tfw the game was basically everything you could ask for
It could have been so much worse, but it felt right out of the PS2 era, and aside from it being on the short side/lacking some content, it's good.
Watching pathetic tryhards complain the game isn't hardcore enough brings no end of amusement as well.
where's crit mode
Oh no.
How could it be forgotten if people keep making threads every other day about how people forgot it?
>isn't hardcore enough
asking for a little more difficulty isn't OMG HARDCORE
>it’s easy
>feels like a PS2 game
>missing content
>still a good game tho
Why are KHfags so autistic?
DLC, lad.
ur retarded and i dont think of u as a human being
>Sora, Riku, and Kairi never do Trinity Limit together
This is the biggest problem with III. Change my mind.
>muh swallowing cum
>muh posting a smug anime girl, so clearly, i am one of you, my fellow anonymous posters?
>muh 'tryhards' when this game's proud mode is roughly on the level of KH2 beginner
Please leave.
Good doesn't mean perfect.
Something can have flaws and still be great, let alone good.
>tfw the game was basically everything you could ask for
>Change my mind.
What do I win?
No, if we’re talking about the biggest problem in 3 regarding these characters it’s how they never interacted or developed as characters, if anything they digressed. Kairi and Riku don’t even interact in this game, and when Kairi dies Riku shows no emotion. Everyone was sidelined for Sora, even his two friends.
Alright, that's pretty bad.
>the biggest problem in this game is the story
Kill yourself. Put a bullet into your retarded infantile brain.
>that zantetsuken
BROS NO KH3 WAS SUPPOSED TO BE GOOD WTF HAPPENED
no...seriously what? I can’t even boot my ps4 without seeing the icon and feeling like a fucking dumbass
Prove me wrong: This is better than 3.
>if we’re talking about the biggest problem in 3 regarding these characters
>regarding these characters
Clearly this isn’t the biggest problem with the game, it’s just one of many.
If you're implying in any way that the story is satisfying in the slightest you should probably take your own advice.
>reddit letter media pic
how EMBARASSING
I didn't say the story was good. I implied the story never fucking mattered because it's C-tier fanfiction at best. You're literally a fucking drooling moron if you were ever playing this series for its 'story'.
>tfw the game was basically everything you could ask for
I'm not gonna say it was a bad game, but please, user, get some standards. KH3 is the epitome of mediocrity.
I just beat Iron Imprisoner IV. I can assure you BBS combat is unmitigated trash, and the story doesn't fare too much better.
>better characters
>better antagonists
>better plot
>better keyblade graveyard
>better secret bosses
>better postgame
>better endings
I can’t.
Is this the same thread? is this shit still alive or did he make another?
Does anyone else think KH3 turned out the way it did because l Nomura just wanted to get it over with and start KH4 and Verum Rex?
About a year or so after KH3 was revealed was when Nomura got kicked off Versus, so it makes me wonder if he started planning the Yozora stuff to get back at Square and Tabata, and just kind of stopped caring about 3.
>Command grinding
>Endgame commands are useless because they don't provide damage or i-frames at the very least
>Mashing dodge is the very best strategy in almost every fight
>Combat is slow in general
>As in, you're slow, but the enemies can all do their moves immediately and nonstop, even when you're stunned
If only there were a dozen games released during that wait.
This.
They clearly put time and effort in this game. It’s bad because it’s bad, not because a lack of interest.
bazz...
>games story was rushed because they had to wrap up like 5 storylines
>organization members basically popped in to dole out plot and disappear with no midboss fights
>why doesnt axel change clothes til the very end when it didnt matter?
>last few boss fights were boring with vanitas going out like a savage being the only good one
>combat was really lame. Heartless died in a few hits even on proud mode making any combo additions pointless.
>doesnt seem like theres gonna be a final mix. No sign of critical mode dropping
Im in pain...
mishandling is right. for some fucking reason the olympus coliseum victory music plays briefly in the big hero 6 world
.
Gameplay and graphics-wise, yes. But story-wise it’s like Nomura just purposely shoved all the import stuff at the end and called it a day.
>Everyone who doesn't like KH3 is Barry
When will this end?
Storywise Nomura admits he struggled, struggling doesn’t mean he didn’t care, it means he tried. What we got is bad, stop trying to make excuses saying it was made this was intentionally.
Square Enix have become addicted to releasing shit recently.
>FFXV
>KH3
>The Quiet Man
>Left Alive
The only decent things that have been released the last few years are Dragon Quest and Octopath Traveler
>repost the exact same complaints the exact same way day in and day out
>wonder why everything is attributed to (You)
The Quiet Man was kino, pleb.
>decent
>Octopath Traveler
Thanks for reminding me that game existed and how shit it was
I’m not trying to make excuses, I’m just wondering. Stop assuming. It’s clear he still cares about Versus considering a lot of the KH stuff is based on it.
when did people wait 13 years?
the last one was in 2012
Never, he's broken all discussion forever.
When did Nomura admit he struggled?
KH3 was talked about by Nomura immediately after KH2’s released, 13 years ago. People have been waiting 13 years for the inevitable, but now they’ll have to wait even longer for a finished product.
KH2 came out in '05.
If you bought some deluxe/limited edition of KH3 it comes with a letter written by Nomura basically admitting he knows the game is shit, he had a hard time writing the story, and he hopes you still enjoy the game.
>but now they’ll have to wait even longer for a finished product.
>implying DLC will fix this mess
i waited 30 years for breath of the wild and it was beyond worth it. From the moment I beat zeldo1 in '87 I dreamt of an experience like BotW every day until it was announced in 2013(?).
[spoilers]I quit playing vidya after BotW and feel complete
>Nomura basically admitting he knows the game is shit
Kek
edit: normalfag visiting from le reddit *holds up spork
>Kairi and Riku don’t even interact in this game
If you haven't noticed. Kairi is NOT a friend to Riku. She doesn't care about him (she certainly didn't try to salvage him when the whole group was destroyed by the Heartless Wave despite Riku being her childhood friend).
So why should Riku show emotion when Kairi dies? Pointless to care for Kairi when she shows how dismissive she is of Riku in the previous games. Can you name one thing that Kairi does for Riku as a friend that she does entirely on her own. An act of friendship that inherently strictly comes only from herself towards Riku?
>The combat is shi-
implyijng every fucking KH inbetween are not part of the main serie
only retards talk about KH2 release date
>better plot
Maybe better than III.
>Master Xehanort spends the whole game convincing Terra to use darkness
>Terra doesn't aside from one time against Braig
>even right before the last world he never uses darkness
>Eraqus fight onwards he just fast forwards through the temptation portion of his arc because we already planned the body jacking
Seething.
>The Destiny Islands Trio aren’t actually friends
Lmao retard. Riku cared about Kairi since KH1.
They're part of the main series, but they didn't have the same level of production values and care as KH1 and 2. People had been waiting 13 years for a game that had that same level of quality and care put into it.
>Can you name one thing that Kairi does for Riku as a friend that she does entirely on her own
>except for octopath
as someone who has played all those games listed (except for left alive) I can tell they were all SHIT. DQ isn’t anything new but it felt like a complete game and I enjoyed it. only minor nitpick is the midi shit
wow dude, fancy animations, so deep.
Bravo that doesn't count because it was NAMINE who did this. Kairi didn't even know it was Riku in there.
I'm talking about KAIRI here. I know Riku is nice to Kairi and does nice things for her. It's Kairi who doesn't appreciate or return the favor.
t.
name?
Based.
>it was NAMINE who did this
Really? Because that sure as shit is Kairi in the picture.
>Kairi didn't even know it was Riku in there.
Right, because he looked like Ansem, she doesn't have magical darkness vision you double nigger.
>So why should Riku show emotion when Kairi dies?
>I know Riku is nice to Kairi and does nice things for her.
You’re a dumbass. They’re all friends even if poorly written (look at the BBS trio).
Rochestedorm.
imagine wasting animation skills on that webm.
Kairi does, she was able to identify Heartless Sora on her own. So not being able to tell Riku was in there shows she's a cunt.
Why was the voice acting so forced and lifeless?
She wasn't sure, she had a gut feeling because it wasn't actually attacking. Meanwhile Riku had literally just appeared and held off Saix before Namine blabbed.
Because KH3 is bad
>took out FF tie-ins
>made the story even more convoluted somehow
>no challenging post game or superbosses
>no real plot motivation to go to the Disney worlds, Sora just goes because that's what he does I guess
>midi
Stop playing on consoles, you dumb poorfag
They probably waited until the last minute to voice everything in English, and voice actors doing games have always seriously phoned it in. So I'd say it's a result of being rushed or being too lazy to do any proper voice direction.
/thread
The real answer is that Japanese voice acting is an art that is celebrated in their culture. Imagine if George Clooney was a voice actor. That's how that works there.
Steve Staley needs to voice Sora.
Besides that, KH3 is my dick
It's about as good as the other KH games desu. The series has always had problems.
It's not as good as 1 or 2, that puts it at handheld quality. Bravo Nomura.
KH2FM is one of the best games ever made.
The only reason the series gameplay started to suck is because 1) Handhelds equals restrictions, not even the PSP or 3DS could handle the KH2 battle mechanics 2) Hiring people who are NOT the main team that creates the gameplay type the customer likes.
Meh whatever, I accept that KH is overall kind of fucked gameplay wise. Story is also just bad. No more FF cameos (expect Chirithy to get rid of the Moogle) and yeah I think I'm done with Kingdom Hearts for good. Anyone else?
In fact I think SE as a developer doesn't have anything worth a damn anymore. Capcom delivers more.
>Comparing a monocultural country who has made its art a big part of its identity to a multicultural mess that has homogenized itself to the point where any pieces of art created there are considered separate from the society
It just isn't fair. Acting is a literal fucking job in the west and not a passionate vocation. The FAG is an impassable wall that encourages cronyism. Unless you make people money with your face, people treat you like a disposable pawn they could have switched out for any other actor.
You can turn those off in the options you know.
>it's muffled when you're underwater
>The FAG
Which is?
Film actor's guild
Oh, kek, fuck that thing.
Some fucking line variety would go a long way.
I wouldn't exactly call Xehanort dying "getting away scot free" I understand you (and many others) wanted him to receive more consequence for his actions, but it still doesn't change the fact that he's dead, in a series where characters rarely stay dead.
Which light in Final World was Eraqus anyways? One of the gay ones?
None, he'd been hiding in Terra, Ventus style.
Critical mode tomorrow hype!
bullshit
>better secret bosses
Mysterious Figure is an absolute garbage fight on all aspects.
Tomorrow?
Git gud.
It's been like 17 years bruh. People have died, the story is a mess. Everyone just wanted to get it over with.
even if it was 6 years it wasn't worth the wait, it felt like it took 2 years to make at most
I did. Still doesn't change the fact that MF is a garbage boss fight and most endgame/postgame boss fights in BBS are as well.
>he actually believes kh3 was 14 years in the making
>he actually thought that the mobile games weren't a retard bandage for people that were waiting for actual fucking games
This.
/thread
There's still some weirdos who like the story for whatever reason, but I think that unless there are major changes, you won't see hype like you did for KH III again. I think III was the last entry for a lot of people who just wanted to see the Xehanort saga end.
The jews murdered JFK, bombed the USS Liberty, and bombed the Twin Towers.
This
Nah man, the mafia was pissed off at JFK for turning on them after they helped him out. They had big balls back then.
Lucky Luciano, you stupid faggot. Did you actually fall under the delusion that the mob wasn't jewish? Goddamn you're stupid.
But he was Italian? Never heard of him being at all Jewish, but I don't know much about his personal history. I just know that he created the commission and helped out America during WWII.
Lucky Luciano was a jew, you pathetic faggot.
