"OG" hellmoo shutdown around 09? and someone made hatemoo that lasted a few years before really dieing off around that time Infernomoo was made that was more heavy on non pvp zones I think and Care dog? was stronger and reporting on grifing was more strict.

Infernomoo uses that clone factory. Those clones are on this fork, but somewhere more appropriate. Orphans are also here in their usual place for a few laughs haha.

I haven't played in a long time either and while I don't really fell one way or the other with the pvp rules I think that the player pop might drop off if the only thing that happens is KoS like people are playing a BR game. but then agian I enjoyed being on the sidelines as rading and robbing+fighting of corps happen over just someone running (place meta+muts here).

Guns being OP was fine when PvP was nonconsensual - aside from the exploit that was in the game for years to instantly empty your entire clip into somebody. You have to keep in mind that grinding it was hard, getting all the stuff for it was annoying and losing it would mean you can't do shit anymore. People can easily kill you at any time if they decide to rescue abuse in a party or just give you a lightning fast headbutt into another dimension or generally just surprise you. That's different now that PvP requires consent. They just roll crafters and shit all the time or hoard massive amounts of things that will never be stolen. There's no need for disposeable builds or backup items. Even the "I roll an alt, get it to 30k xp in 15 minutes, then use the world spawn shotty to blow people with 200k xp the fuck out" has phased out. I think that's the reason why guns seemed OP, but it honestly never was a problem until Gilmore threw a tantrum.

They also had added a new command 'goku' which would instantly kill every NPC in the same tile.

You can play it like a roguelike, just set it to permadeath. You get 2x more XP too.

Yes. Learn your skills. You get more XP faster and your mutation brackets are much closer together.

A. you dont have to use grinding for shit you use actively (like weapon types)
B. orphans give piss poor xp

Why do those even exist? In HellMoo there's a telephone pole N W of the giggling schoolgirl, it gives you a list of all teachers and their current position.
