No flaw and I want more. Hope DLC is meaty

Too hard!

Exploration is kind of boring.

Dark Souls 2 with 0 ADP tier hitboxes.

>trash enemy variety
>best reward you will ever find is Bungo's Sugar
>re-uses nearly every miniboss
>r1 mashing is the optimal strategy for most encounters
>stealth is half-baked and the AI is braindead if not outright inconsistent

Basically all the good things about this game are the things closest to Souls. A bit disappointing really.

Dumb fuck AI like all from software games, shitty camera etc. It's still GOTY though.

It isn’t ps4 exclusive so I can’t lord it over everyone like bb

Kuro isn't my cute bf

It didn't grab my attention, I've only killed the horse boss and I have no desire to keep going.

it's not that it's bad or hard, just, didn't get it's hook in me like the Souls games or Bloodborne.

r1 r1 r1 r1 l1 repeat to win
no exploration
retarded plot and edgelord OC donut steal
terrible weapon/skill variety
grappling hook is jank incarnate
terrible stealth
literally no replay value (and a short game at that)
recycled bosses
no mook variety
no environment variety
easy game, but fromdrones insist it's supah dupah hard
worst fanbase since minecraft

there's more but the game is so bland I have trouble remembering anything

I love this game. Keep that in mind. I'm still fighting isshin, and it's one of my favorite games ever. I plan on getting all the endings and eventually the platinum. One of the best single player games I've ever played. But you can't say there are a lot of ai issues, and I mean shit like killing enemies in front of another enemy behind a wall and having the other completely ignore it and other small things. Skyrim flashbacks every time. My main problem is the potential, they could have had at least a few more areas, not many, but a few, to really make it feel fleshed out. I don't even mind the reused assets, I'd rather return to areas I love and fight good bosses, but it really needed just a few more in the game. That's my opinion though. Another huge issue is that they block off so many areas in the endgame. I get it story wise, but my favorite moments were running from one area to the end of the map, and having so many routes blocked off is a disappointment, especially with how good the mobility feels in this game. That's my take. A 9/10 game, nothing in it is necessarily bad, it's just... It definitely could have been a bit more than what it is.

>Hurr Durr enemy variety
>Hurr Durr environment variety
I mean aside from your other just blatantly wrong misconceptions about the combat guess how I can tell you never played it.

Nigger I literally beat the game last night and I'm halfway through NG+.
I'm sorry it's your first le hard game, truly I am. But it's really not that impressive. Stop sucking it's cock for a bit, will you?

the combat

Fpbp
It’s pretty fucking terrible but in spite of that it’s still a 9.5/10

Grappling sucks ass.

im global elite but, for me, this game became tiresomely difficult quite early on. i haven't beaten the horse boss (who has completely broken hit and hurt boxes)

I hope they release a great dlc like old hunters then the game will have the perfect lenght.

Only If you try to dodge him instead of blocking.

Same arena for five bosses
Having to return to ashina castle TWICE

Being able to equip only a single combat art and having the majority of the flashy/cool ones cost a shitload of spirit emblems is my biggest gripe. I wish we could use 3+ or have them integrated into our actual R1 moveset. Most CA rarely see uses on bosses except for ichimonji, it's a huge waste of the mechanic imo.

Stop pretending you played the game sweetie

>except for ichimonji
Confirmed for not using the High Monk Kick.

Agreed.

you IMPLORE me?

>Stealth is poorly integrated in general
>Too many recycled minibosses
>Items that aren't gourds are pretty much all useless outside of the Tanto a bunch of sugars and confetti
>Prosthetics are unbalanced in costs (umbrellas cost only one emblem but mist raves cost 2/3) and some of the main gimmicks (Axe/Spear) are vastly underutilized compared to the more universal tools (Firecrackers, umbrella etc.)
>There's a few pointless weapon arts due to weak damage/inconsistent speed (Praying strikes/Spiral Cloud Passage/One Mind), unbalanced arts(Ichimonji shouldn't be available on air) or arts that have completely useless followups(High Monk/Senpou leaping kick's only good part is the first hit)
>Weapon arts should also be integrated into your moveset instead of being just one extra slot, it's too limited and makes the feel more of a gimmick or powerup to basic moves, not to mention they suffer from the Souls syndrome of being some kind of special move that doesn't flow with your basic moveset at all, which is damn embarassing and archaic especially when even western shit like GoW got combat right
>Confetti and apparitions are a bad idea in general
>Living Force buffs last too little to be useful
>Too much soulshit leftovers from mechanics like levelling up that have no place in this game to the same aesthetic in general and music
>A few stinker bosses as usual like Divine Dragon, Headless or the Shichimen
Other than that, it's pretty damn great, but I wish this is the first step towards gradually forgetting soulshit entirely.

Shit stealth
No replay value
Lackluster soundtrack

>I wish this is the first step towards gradually forgetting soulshit entirely.
This.

Stealth and enemy detection is pretty simple, wall hugging is basically pointless and enemies once alert will follow you through walls
Most of the prosthetic tools and items and their related mechanics are super underdeveloped, there's maybe 5 enemies with armor to pull off with the spear in the game, 10 with shields to break with the axe who are almost all in the hirata memory, and three fights snap seeds do anything in with two of them being essentially the same boss
There's a metric shit ton of reused minibosses and bosses with barely any changes between most of them, there are fewer bosses/minibosses you fight just once than there are ones you fight multiple times
Most of the combat arts are disappointingly weak and the ones that aren't are almost all frontloaded
I still think it's an enjoyable game though, most of these things you won't even really notice on the first playthrough but they do harm subsequent ones.

I don't, not when it makes me open up the menu and switch out combat arts twice just to land stylishly counter a sweep.

Characters get AIDS if you die. Literally unforgivable.

>simple combat
>no reason to play past 1 playthrough
>weak ost
>still has janky grab moves.

Matthewmatosis didn't like it so do I.

It's made by From Soft.

Attached: yeah no.gif (508x265, 2.94M)

Divine Dragon is actually the best puzzle boss they've ever made
not that the bar was particularly high..

>re-uses nearly every miniboss
Why don't more people talk about this? Hell, it's most bosses too. I think the only ones not reused are Sword Saint and Demon of Hatred. There are FIVE Headless fights with very little changed up, aside from the underwater ones.

Look at this stupid faggot. I mentioned literally nothing about the difficulty at all. But you're retarded if you think there's a lack of enemy variety. Nowhere in my post was I sucking off Skeiro it's even got a few major flaws I have some gripes with, but pretending it's awful just o be a contrarian faggot does nothing when you have no real arguments to back up what you claim.

There's not a single reused boss fight, though.

Stealth kills and being able to run away to safety every time removes any difficulty from the levels.
Prosthetic feels useless unless they're the hard weakness then they make the fight trivial.
Reused minibosses with lame rewards
Reused the same zone three times
While aesthically pleasing, environment variety is very limited. You have a forest, a green forest, a red forest, a spooky forest, a valley, a snowey valley, etc. Nothing really surprising or awe inspiring.
I don't think you can parry grab attacks

Regular enemies are a joke
NG+ is piss easy

fpbp
really pulls it down

Damage sponges with no real concept of localized damages.
the "die twice" gimmic does nothing for the player and just means the bosses have 2 phases, something invented in the 80's.

>I don't think you can parry grab attacks
>You
>Isn't clearly seeing the hitbox/animation disconnect in the gif recorded from a video

And Gyobou
And Lady Butterfly
And Folding Screen Monkeys

Owl and Monk are reused, but they're so different they get a pass, don't even try to compare it with the lazy ass shit that is Asylum Demon and Stray Demon. Only shitty bossfight is lmao2ape

there should have been a stamina bar that only depletes when you run, being able to run around bosses to bait their attacks and get a hit in ruins the game
>you're not supposed to play the game like that
yeah? well it's not like the game punishes for your poor gameplay, as long as you have the patience almost every boss can be beaten by running around them

Longarm Centipede is used twice as well as blazing bull. Also Generals are a dime a dozen and some of the minibosses just become regular enemies thrown about everywhere later. Also you cannot possibly count Lone Shadow Longswordsman and the Vile Hand as not being reused

Major fights that aren't reused in any way:
>Armored Warrior
>Lady Butterfly
>Dragon
>Demon of Hate
>Gyoubu Masataka Oniwa
>SS Isshin
Did I miss any?

>Longarm Centipede is used twice as well as blazing bull.
Those aren't bosses, bosses give you memories, those don't.

>all these seething soulsdrones itt

Sekiro > BB >>>>> Soulshit

>Longarm Centipede

>blazing bull

>Vile Hand

Nice try, games journo.

Guardian Ape, Genichiro's first phase, his second phases attacks are reused for some enemies late game, Owl, and Monk.

I'll be fair I forgot about those, they still reuse a lot of fights.

The prosthetic tools are the one thing they could actually work to improve upon if they ever decide to make Sekiro 2 or a game with similar mechanics in the sub-weapons.

They sort of stopped halfway into implementing what the different tools can do to all of the enemies in the game. They could make the prosthetics much more worthwhile if there were more battle mechanics tied to them and how you fight enemies. Right now there's only a handful. For instance.

You can still use the shinobi axe aside from shield enemies, but there's little point to doing so because there's no internal reward for playing risk-reward with such a weapon. The axe should create as many openings in enemies as it creates openings in you by using it. I know it speeds up if it's used in midair and that it's useful on the Shirasagi/Shirasaki mini-bosses, but it's not enough. Most of the tools are like this though. If they sat and really fleshed everything out, it would knock this game way out of the park.

I love the game though, just some observations.

Shield enemies have only a single viable method of dealing with them which requires pausing /unpausing to equip/unequip the axe every single time you see them.

Not as good as bloodborne.
Shit OST, enemies, bosses, story, exploration, etc.

the support systems and secondary mechanics like stealth, combat arts, prosthetic tools, and skill trees are all cookiecutter assassin's creed-tier shit. i expected better from FROM honestly.

The only souls game I've played was BB and I still thought Sekiro was disappointing though

>the snake/fish
>unique bosses locked behind endings
>some prosthetic cheese options
still 10/10

>stealth is shit

>only one effective way to do combat (parry)

>bosses surrounded by trash mobs are fucking cancer, I hate how you need to pick the mobs of first (using the shit stealth) every time you want to fight the boss again

Besides that good game though

>Guardian Ape
Different fight the second time in a completely new arena.
>Genichiro's first phase
One part of a three fight phase with a new boss.
>Owl
Owl 2 is a very different fight from the first and much harder.
>Monk
The real Corrupted Monk is a three (3) phase fight with the second phases being entirely unique to it.

Nice try, games journo.

Regular Isshin and Emma. I'm guessing you didn't do the Shura ending cause you're not a retard
Fucking morons read the original post that the guy I was replying to was replying to. He was talking about minibosses. Other retard mentioned that there wasn't one reused bosses fight but he was replying to a post talking about MINI bosses. Learn how to infer you retards.

Do you think they are going to release DLC for the game or should I sell it? I played it twice once Shura ending and the second I did the other endings. Only thing I'm missing is killing Owl in Hirata estate. Don't think this game lends itself well to multiple playthroughs.

Unoriginal garbage. Basically random shit from Ninja Gaiden and MGS.
Except with shitty stealth and no real waifus

Headless are cancer and don't drop anything worth killing them for

Attached: 1554237956481.jpg (372x521, 97K)

Mini-bosses != bosses
Maybe try playing the game past Chained Ogre before having an opinion on it.

>as long as you have the patience almost every boss can be beaten by running around them
A new player is definitely not going to run and poke a boss to death for about hour. I don't understand your complaint, the damage spongy bosses will force you to aim for counters and parries. Even if someone had the endurance and skill to whittle a boss for an hour, how does that affect normal non autistic players?

there's nothing wrong with Great Serpent or the Colored Carp (altough I still think it was a missed chance to have a proper battle underwater)

For a board full of annoying hipsters that love to jerk off about how cool it was the gimmicky shit from DeS and how "kino" it was when Astraea commited sudoku, I'd kind of expect you fags to love the puzzle to kill those 2

The phases mean nothing if the attacks are exactly the same. There's no new design going into anything. Monkey madness is literally just phase 2 ape with a phase 1 ape with EXACTLY THE SAME MOVESET. That's not a new boss it's literally the definition of recycling.

They should have locked more unique bosses behind endings, I would feel way more incentivized to do multiple playthroughs if each one had a drastically different last hour or two instead of Shura getting two and all the others getting the same five or however many.

They've been doing DLC since Ds1 so I expect it for Q4 2019

Don't defend lol2ape, I see the argument for the others but don't blindly defend reusing bosses like that.

The healing system is fucking stupid and makes the game easier as it goes on. From's insistence on deviating from a working formula in terms of the healing system is just idiotic. Getting 5 estus in a bonfire, then 10 if you sacrifice 2 humanity (disregarding the rite of kindling) is the perfect balance. Having a single health gourd charge that doesn't even completely fill your pathetic health bar is just idiotic.

Design by committee trash.

Attached: Matthewmatosis on Sekiro.jpg (1125x1773, 557K)

I think they evened that out somewhat by making a fair deal of them completely skipable.

I was getting sick of fighting the drunkard enemy though, so it's not unfounded. Would be nice to have more General variations, but I suspect some of the game was rushed a bit in that aspect.

Can you read? I'm asking in earnest because there's no way someone who's literate would misunderstand tlanything this piss poorly.
The conversation started with this post
Then went to here
Both posts talk about minibosses before this retard
Said boss. This leaves us with 2 options. Either he completely ignored what they were actually talking about and is retarded, or was actually following the conversation and just meant minibosses.

That's why you cancer them back with Phoenix's Lilac Umbrella. The perfect cheese for the most garbage of enemies.

Unironically marketing

spirit emblem cost on skills should be removed, its just unnecessary also different outfits would be nice like you could unlock them just like you do in dmc

I feel like this fight was probably added pretty late in the development, after they'd already decided you'd fight like 30 of these guys on the castle rooftop, so they were in the mindset of "yeah the camera isn't great here but players will be used to this enemy so it can't be helped", and nobody remembered the other ninjas won't be there yet.

On making a good game instead of Dark "50% of the game is garbage" Souls

it's fun, therefore Yea Forums hates it

The horse boss is the only truly easy boss of the game. You are in for a rough ride if you are struggling with him.

>Grinding for spirit emblems
So you just suck? Cause if you don't suck you literally never have to do this. I ended up with like 500 of em at one point and I was constantly doing shit with the prosthetics.

>the only truly easy boss of the game.

Attached: Lady Butterfly.webm (800x450, 2.85M)

Now this is a post I can agree with. Camera has gotten me killed more times than I care to admit.

Nominees for worst places in the game for camera fuckery?

>reusing Dark Knights, Taurus and Capra demon, Asylum demon and so on is okay when DaS1 does it
>when Sekiro does it's bad though
Why are Soulsfags so blinded with nostalgia? At least every miniboss is fun to fight in Sekiro(except Headless).

What do you even mean by this? It has all of the issues of the other souls games and no real advancement in enemies or areas. What is a "good game" mean? And why would it be linked with the dev time not being spend on other things when it is as short and lazy as the other games?

Attached: hqdefault.jpg (480x360, 15K)

>games """"journalists""""" everyone

>What is a "good game" mean
Sekiro

I feel like they tried to limit the player inventory so they could not cheese every boss but made a game where its super easy to cheese every boss instead.

Whichever one of the lone shadows fights with a sabimaru.

Wow its almost like we expect improvement over time

The stealth works wonders. Git gud you can stealth pretty much everything including certain bosses

>grungy samurai
>dog
>big fat man
>monkey
>rat
>hooded shinobi

These exact enemies are continuously reused and reskinned in multiple areas spanning the entire game. By the time the game actually bothers to introduce new and interesting enemy types like the Ministry Samurai and the Okami Warriors, the game is nearly over. Sekiro has low variety, and objectively less enemy variety than their previous titles. Fuck off.

>What do you even mean by this?
That Sekiro is a good game, unlike the Söy Souls games.

Attached: Soylent Souls.webm (960x540, 2.82M)

>is okay when DaS1 does it
What in the fuck are you talking about. Since release people complained about reusing the demon bosses. It's a bad design practice no matter what game it's in.

What do bosses have 2 million health? What is fun about this?

What does this webm show?

>reusing Dark Knights, Taurus and Capra demon, Asylum demon and so on is okay when DaS1 does it
This but unironically.

iNfiNiTe RoLeS

There are no flaws. It’s finally a good game made by From. No more shitty and janky mechanics and difficulty that comes from getting the game to listen to you. No more floaty combat and meaningless worlds/plots. No more repetition of the same formula since Demons Souls. Thank fuck From stopped listening to the fanboys.

>Gameplay in boss vs levels are not consistent so the different parts of the game don't complement each other (stealth levels vs. twitch action 1v1 combat).

Attached: dissapointment.png (485x463, 69K)

Ori of the water?

You have a fundamental misunderstanding of the game, if you think you're supposed to kill bosses by depleting their health bars.

It's too hard

Kek BTFO'd by everyone. Please leave the site now shitter.

The vast majority of skills and prosthetics are mostly redundant or outright inferior to just your basic moveset.

Literally the most useful prosthetic in the game is the firecrackers, and thats simply because they give you more openings to R1

The skills are all mostly inferior to basic R1 attacks in one way or another, outside specific exemptions such as double ichimonji(and even then, that has specific uses and it's not as universal)

the final skills especially are really pathetic. some of them look cool and have a neat idea, but in practice, again, it's almost always better to just use your basic R1s.

Souls fag here, I think emphasizing stealth did a similar kind of problem as emphasizing difficulty in souls by building an expectation from stealth game players.
Stealth is a tool in sekiro and not a strategy like in stealth focused games.
Like From were talking about in interviews, stealth in sekiro rewards smart play rather than being an alternate play style.
The intention seems pretty obvious when you see that most enemies detect you after one stealth kill and the fact that most bosses have 2 health bars which become effectively 1 health bar when you take advantage of stealth.
Obviously there is a degree of being able to abuse the system and cheese, but I feel like if that is a problem then you will have a problem with almost every system in the game.

meh sekiro is like when I had blood in my pee a week ago, it's scary at first but in reality not a big deal once you get used to it

>Environments are dull and repetitive
You're thinking of BB and DaS3.

How do you reach the monkey boss? I've found a area around the temple with a bunch of monkeys but that's it.

No real drawbacks for having your guard broken, kinda stupid its literally how kill pretty much anything but if it happens to you most of the time enemies can't punish you and its back to 100% in half a second.

>Using the crutch of death blows
Kek shitter

Prosthetic upgrades were kinda underwhelming. There should have been more unique ones or ones like the kunai that resemble boss weapons.
Also no boss rush mode when the game is set up perfectly for it with memories/remnants.

Go to the end of Sunken Valley.

BB maybe but not ds3

Meanwhile in Bloodborne
>Yharnam mob
>Yharnam mob
>Yharnam mob
>Yharnam mob

The camera and lock on system, deadliest enemy in the game.

>Muffled AWAY AWAY in the distance

Most skills aren't even that overpowered to require spirit emblems. Ashina Cross for instance is a cool attack but it's not better than Ichimonji Double or High Monk. Way too many skills require spirit emblems which defeats most of the purpose of setting and placing them in your moveset.

You're going to only use them sparingly, especially if you use prosthetics heavily and many leave you full of openings anyway because there are tons of enemies that have large amounts of posture.

The game at numerous points attempts to teach you something then that same lesson fails to apply later on.
The game gets incredibly easy after a few memories.
Assloads of repeated bosses/minibosses
AI is terrible
Feels shorter than Bloodborne
>Stealth
Prosthetic balance is completely fucked.
It's stupid to be able to just stunlock numerous bosses.

>Confetti
Wall hugging sucks
Terribly balanced (Lot of the combat arts cost too much and fucking suck, others are way too strong at no cost)

Low enemy variety
Sekiro has a really bad moveset.
Prosthetics cheese.
Inconsistent rules
Reused bosses/areas
Mediocre soundtrack
Spirit Emblems are far too scarce.
Can't get every prosthetic on one playthrough.

But the biggest gripe I have with this game is that you have to learn a lot to get good with this game and I'm certain that I'll come into the DLC and get completely raped once it comes out.

The gun fort?

>DUUUDE CATHEDRALS LMAO! AND CASTLES!
Fuck off, DaS3 is uninspired as shit. The only good area is Archdragon peak.

Dark Souls 3 is one big brown smudge.

Yes, you need to go through the Gun Fort to get to the end.

Wrong.
I parried Snake Eye's pull back grab consistently.

No, you got the cathedral, swamps, castles, gardens, depths.
Not to mention the dlcs enviroments.

the physics of the movements not mattering it's all bout "if hitbox touch then animation plays" which leads to really counter intuitive strategies where you die from being close to a move that didn't factually touch you, but since you were in the "wrong" state of the rock paper scissor, you are still teleported in the death animation

Having to go through Ashina Castle 3 times. At least they flipped it on its head the last time, making you trek from top to bottom. You should be able to hold more emblems, and like half the skills are worthless.

>Can't get every prosthetic on one playthrough.
Are you retarded?

Please tell me where to get the other 4 lapis lazuli.

I've heard multiple people complain about this though. A rest-refilled meter would have been better.

OGRED

You need to speak to Isshin and then the key will spawn in Kuro's library.

bosses gradually developed into a slap and parry fight, especially the 1st owl fight, genechiro and lady butterfly. the pacing almost felt like mgr but lacked that feeling of hype and excitement
perhaps have some sort of small signal to indicate when an enemy will parry your next attack? felt a bit inconsistent as to why and how i get deflected by an enemy
exploration rewards kinda suck
mini bosses typically only exist in a binary hard or easy, maybe prevent deathblows on them so the fights can last longer
re-used minibosses, souls has been guilty of this for a while shame to see sekiro continue the trend
low replayability, dont have much motivation to complete my ng+ cycle, combat feel stagnated for me
have some sort of limit to sprinting, feels too easy to run past everything and can let you get to a boss with an absurd amount of heals left
if you have enough heals, its pretty easy to just brute force bosses and relax more on deflecting every attack, for isshin in his first phase i focused on rushing him down and tanking hits when i could
clearing enemies in an area can sometimes be a hassle when there are large groups
moveset gets boring

Attached: eas.jpg (1920x1080, 249K)

Why does Yea Forums hates every game From ever puts out? We have the same exact threads everytime they release a new game.
What games do you people like?

Yeah I need to defeat what's his nuts bow dude on the castle then to proceed. Alrighty, thanks.

Are you being fucking serious right now?

>The upgraded prosthetics are useles-

Attached: Upgraded Axe.webm (700x392, 2.99M)

>>Still only as long as Dark Souls
It's not even as long. Dark Souls 1, 2 and 3 took me about 50 hours each before the DLC, sekiro took 30.

Are you saying people have controversial opinions about [Current Popular Game] on Yea Forums? Say it ain't so.

Isn't that just because the axe had the same effect on her as snap seeds? It would only work thrice.

The dredge heap is fucking cool as shit though.

This is something you can't even do until NG+ though, which is kinda neat but ultimately pointless.

Games that are popular always have threads that people just talk shit in.
It's one of the main reasons no discussion ever happens other than the first week of release, after that, people who enjoyed the game move on.
Early sekiro lore and help threads were fantastic, same with botw, witcher 3 and dm5, but look at them now.
The games that people talk shit about are always popular because people that complain don't actually play games.

single player
no hidden secrets/messages therefore no community
ai is brain dead retarded. At least in souls games big bosses would ruin the arena to kill you, in this game they just walk backwards or fall off cliffs they clearly were not programmed with world geometry in mind
getting good is just learning some simple patterns and abusing mechanics for 99% of the game. Winning your first big fights feel amazing but everything else is just going through the motions
not much variation in music or scenery.
sidequests arent rewarding
lack of weapons means theres only so many ways to play the game, weapon arts are too clumbersome to switch to on the fly
basically no replayability unless you are a speed running autist

Overall this is a good game, I enjoyed it but its not perfect by any means.

>Hand to hand monks

It works more than three times.

He's absolutely b8ing you. There's no way someones that autistic
You did the same thing I did. Explore every area so after Genichiro it felt like I blew through the rest of the game cause all I had for the remaining areas was the last bosses in each. Shit sucks

Too much grinding for the plat

Attached: OeUa9ILm.jpg (284x336, 20K)

Sorry, didn't mean to sound like that much of a prick. I actually agree with this sentiment. it makes way more sense for it to refill on rest as it fills the same purpose of being a hard cap to spamming prosthetics without having to worry about the RNG of getting them to drop.

But I'm a girl user ;3c
Teehee~

Those aren’t flaws you massive brainlet. Those are mechanics and options. You can still twitch 1v1 your way through the hoardes but now you also have a stealthier option. Dumb bottom of the barrel scraping zoomer.

>didn't go past Poison Pools until after Genichiro because I was afraid of Snake Eyes
>didn't attempt Gun Fort until after Genichiro because I was afraid of Snake Eyes
>didn't even FIND Senpou Temple until after beating Genichiro AND beating Illusion Monk and Ape

It was a lot of fun, doing Senpou Temple and then Fountainhead felt like saving the best for last.

But Lolirice would have helped with some of those bosses for sure.

Too many non-mandatory bosses. Most Combat arts, ninjutsu, and prosthetics are utterly useless.

It wasn't Tenchu.

Too short
Not challenging enough this changes in NG+ with Kuro's charm, but it's a bit annoying that you need to wait for NG+

Brainlet

And if anyone is wondering how I fucked this up: when Kuro said I could get to Senpou through Abandoned Dungeon, I said "cool I've already been through there" and continued directly from Poison Pools. It wasn't until I beat Illusion Monk and hit a dead end that I realized this was NOT an extremely torturous long-way-around to Mt Kongo.

The dragonrot concept is almost completely pointless.

Being able to spam parry simplifies combat too much.

Enemies way too stupid when it comes to stealth.

it wasn't lewd enough

It must be hard being in your twilight years huh? Getting aches and pains in your poor fingeys while playing vidya?
Try not to fret about it too much, you'll wind up losing more hair than you already have.

>Being able to spam parry simplifies combat too much.
Reminder: You don't have an opinion on the game, until you've played without Kuro's charm.

>What are genichiro, ashina elite, purple ninjas 'bosses' and centipede bosses

Too easy, too shallow.

Dragonrot definitely feels like a underdeveloped or cut mechanic that was deeper before.
I'm sure that at one point dragonrot would have killed

source?

>ashina elite, purple ninjas 'bosses' and centipede bosses
None of these are bosses.

He's probably including minibosses.

Without skips, I think the only mandatory bosses are Ogre, Gyoubu, Bull, Genichiro, Jirafu, Armored Warrior, Mist Noble (lol), Ape x1, Screen Monkeys, Corrupted Monk x2, Dragon, and the final boss. Drop Dragon and True Monk if you do Shura ending.

There are miniboss variants of those.

How so? Because you said so?

No, because the game said so.

You forgot the poison depths Snake Eyes

Cut content has already been restored that makes you create dragon pellets out of your own Resurrective Energy at Emma, and heal victims one by one with them.

It's pretty certain that was originally paired with some people dying, especially shopkeepers because otherwise them getting sick has absolutely no impact.

Finishing NPC questlines is also underwhelming without them being able to give unique weapon/armor rewards.

Attached: 111111.jpg (1272x948, 472K)

Their are literally bosses. Not every purple ninja is, but you have 1-2 purple ninja bosses. Centipedes and Ashina elite are also bosses. Stop smoking crack.

search ochinomiko on pixiv, should be on the first page results

To be fair Bloodborne does the same thing with non-respawning hunter minibosses. And DS2 had all the NPC invaders that served a similar purpose.

You literally have less than half of my sperm count dude. Prime has come and gone for you I'm afraid.
Don't worry, the failing health of middle-age isn't all bad, at least you get to have a family...you DO have kids right user?

Psst user: a good tip for determining what are minibosses and what are proper bosses is noticing if they drop a prayer bead or a memory after death.
You're wrong.

While having a few different ending, the replay-ability isn't very high.

This.

no DLC

Still seething Tsushi shill?

Grab attack hitboxes still don't entirely line up with the animations so seem at times unfair.
Whilst having one weapon allows for a more focused combat system it isn't as repayable once you get good.

Despite these I'd say it's still one of my favourite games.

Objectively is a 9/10 or a 9.5/10.
In my opinion it's a 8 or 8.5 because of the lore/story. You don't have enough curiosity, fear or hype when you get to a boss( and the game doesn't offer you anything to solve this). Sekiro knows them but for you , they are just another enemy with more health. They are exceptions like The Owl.

He used Open Gate(tm) to summon it out of his ass

Cope, agelet. You’re our bitch.

>Objectively
I don't think you know what this word means.

>using up all your spirit emblems to kill a bunch of mooks that you can just as easily kill for free

Sperm count for men increases until 40 then plateaus and decreases around 70 unless you have cuck genetics.

I just wish it had a little bit more customization.

I get they want to move away from FASHIONSOULS faggotry, but couldn't you give us some cool unlockable costumes/weapon skins?

Sekiro has more lenient deflections than DaS parry because of how quickly you can spam deflect and have it still work.

I have a few things that pissed me off and could be changed

>Not enough areas, felt like I was only halfway through when reaching Fountainhead Palace

>Most combat skills are useless, I would rather have less overall but have them actually useful

>Too many back to back bosses, not enough breaks for exploration inbetween

>Areas getting locked off FOREVER in late game, this is fucking inexcusable and they should of least told you

>More uses for the grappling hook, more places to swing from and use to scout areas

>Needs stealth focused areas like Hirata Estate

New asscreed looks pretty bad

>He played with Kuro's charm
Want to know how I know you're a games journo?

Because it needs to in order to be fair. Emenies often attack you relentlessly 5-10 times in a row with mixed up rhythm unlike DaS.

Which is why despite having more forgiving parry times, Sekiro is still much harder. Enemies in DaS are slower and often only attack up to 3 times, which means you have no excuse not to get the timing right.

>Sparks fly out of his sword despite nothing hitting it

I can't obtain it for 10 dollars.

>Areas getting locked off FOREVER in late game
What the fuck are you talking about? Do you mean that really small part of Ashina Outskirts when Ministry invades?

>2-6 second break between every AI action
riveting gameplay

meanwhile, you'll be lucky if an enemy even has a windup or rest period in Sekiro

>cuts an arm sideways through guard with a vertical slice
it's hilariously bad

They have their uses but when they do shit is just buggy and weird.
This nigger for example.
>Throw one, both guys get alerted, but do nothing
>Throw another
>Only one gets alerted and actually comes to check, destroy everything in his path by simply walking into it an crushing it

The area from the dilapidated temple to the first idol is cut off along with the entire section by the ashina castle gate up too the bridge past the bull

not excuse at all for cutting it all out

kill the mist noble and they all disappear

glad I pirated it as theres no way its worth $60. I ended with 37/40 beads, never found the firecrackers so I couldn't upgrade the tools I wanted. I couldn't tell that the demon bell made anything harder so I left it on 'cuz more money + drops. biggest complaint is the atmosphere & lore are shit compared to any souls game, and the reskinned mini bosses (sometimes not reskinned at all) were dumb and a waste of time.

>Race through in 60 seconds to delete the fog

Attached: Mibu_Village.jpg (800x450, 52K)

theres a branch nearby i think, there is an opening in the roof you jump down to kill him

My complain was about every item in the world being

Ceramic Shard x1

You need to go past the drunkard.

mibu village + the mini boss there was probably my favorite area & fight. glad her fight wasn't reused like a cum rag

>never found the firecrackers so I couldn't upgrade the tools I wanted.
Soulstards, ladies and gentlemen.

Attached: 1508742995003.png (620x581, 16K)

It’s not half life 3

I found him but noped off because I was low on items. Guess I'll try running past him. Thanks.

None of the attack skills that require emblems are strong enough to warrant the cost.

Making these skills compete with prosthetic skills on a maximum of 20 emblems is utterly stupid.

They also should have let players use 2 attack skills without having to change one out. Maybe let people forgo ninjitsu to place another attack skill in.

>every item in the world being Ceramic Shard x1
This is objectively false.

Leveling skills take far too long and Sen becomes obsolete really fast. I'm on NG4 and I have only 2 final arts.
Should have let you buy skill points with Sen.

He's an optional fight, just past him is the path to getting inside the house, and killing the Mist Noble.

Sweet. Thanks.

He forgot to mention Ako's Sugar, jeez.

not to mention even with the candy upgrade they're only active for like 20s making them effectively useless

Speaking of the monkeys by him
>Is that a monkey?
>HE'S GOT A GUN!

And you get things that do the same thing but never run out, only use spirit emblems

Man I genuinely loved Mibu Village, I got there thinking it was a secret area since it's so far off but the setup is nearly perfect.
Made me feel like I was on a little side adventure, travelling the country and trying to fix a freaky problem, mushi-shi style. The payoff is not as good and sadly you can't bring the village thing to a satisfying conclusion, or a conclusion at all, since of course it's a From Software game and feeling like a hero is not a thing that happens, but the area is great and the bosses good so whatever.

Based on japanese lore.

i didnt even kmiw you could make the horse rider dude run off the cliff

>liking DeS makes you an eceleb secondary fan
I don't know who I hate more, people like you or him.

You can do it to the demon of hatred too.

I like it but it's full of fucking flaws man, god I hate this creepy capitalism(?) thing where people now personally identify with corporate products because they are soulless consumer bots with no heritage and therefore any criticism to Their Product is seen as a personal affront. The result of this faggotry is that with many games, but especially From games, large parts of the fanbase will absolutely refuse to admit the game isn't 10/10, it's like a religion or something.

From games are some of the best games out right now but literally every single one of them has huge flaws, like ds1 being half-finished or Bloodborne's absolutely stank chalice dungeons aka shitty roguelikes that would be among the worst in the genre if they were their own game. Yet so many people won't acknowledge this, how the fuck can you say with a straight face that the stealth elements of Sekiro are perfect? Stealth and exploration are major parts of the game and they are just bad; barely fleshed out and possibly rushed experiences. Sekiro is really just a bunch of boss fights with a shitty menu aka the levels. Compared to other From games where even the basic enemies are engaging.

>like ds1 being half-finished
That's pretty fucking generous, more like 40% if even that

The only game where there isn't enough Female representation

There are so many Spooky stories about female japanese ghosts, I wish we saw more bosses like O Rin

Spirit Emblems

The cost of using a resource you have to farm discourages experimenting with the variety of tools.
Adding some kind of mana meter for tools and special arts would serve the same purpose, but wouldn’t make you farm.
Running out of Emblems was never a problem for me, the problem was a rarely used tools because I was worried about wasting emblems.

You do know the entire game was made to fluff the playtime as much as possible, right?

>Cathedral
The inside is gray and dim blue, the outside gray and orange. Very mono or bichromatic.
>Swamps
Desaturated mess of lots of colors seemingly slapdashed together. Gray ash slapped over everything, and the lighting is awful. They've made so many interesting swamps, Farron is their absolute worst aesthetically. They should have made it a nighttime level.
>Castle
No, that's plain and boring as well. Only the endgame skybox is interesting.
>Gardens
What. You mean, Consumed King's Garden? Same problem as Cathedral.
>Depths
What.
>DLC Environments
Ariandel is just a huge plaster of blue. They could have gone an interesting route with a winter forest and make it black and white, hiding humanity sprites and dark enemies that are as black as the trees, or pale white enemies hiding in the snow, but they chose blue. Underneath the church place was pretty cool and the structure of that town place is fun to hop around in. The rest of that DLC is kind of forgettable. As for the second one? Oh boy, now a huge mountain of ash and basically just ash alone, with a poison swamp and gnarled garbage fatasses with humanity sprites for faces. Then the most criminally worst usage of Firelink Shrine assets out of all possible timelines. The Ringed City is pretty nice after that, though. I give the end a pass for being ashy because it's quite literally a desert at that point.

My biggest complaint is that DaS3 didn't have real color palettes, just tones of a single color and ash.

>No squids
This actually made me mad because when i first saw that deathblow in the ashina castle moat my expectations skyrocketed and then it turned out to just be another headless

Attached: 973dad460bfb169b01cab380b17533de.png (176x143, 35K)

Fucking same. I was also pissed that the carp isn't an actual boss fight but a progression in a side quest people are calling a boss. That's some grade A horseshit.

Not enough Kuro porn

IKUSO SEKIRO!!!

The spirit emblem ones last even less
the sugars last 45s if you have the duration skill

that's prosthetic upgrade, not prosthetic.
btw, maybe proofread your garbage before you post.

I don't remember this. I don't even remember encountering the leader at all.

the miniboss on the tree branch, next to a idol.

There's some pretty cool bosses if you keep going. I understand how you feel though, I felt the same way about bloodbourne for some reason.

Oh, that's who that was? That fight was a joke; Mist Noble tier.

Emma don't show tiddy

This.

Is it possible to purchase all the unlocks for the Prosthetics? Like, is there any resource that is finite?

lapis is the closest to finite but i think okami warriors can drop it extremely rarely. probably only with the bell demon buff.

I see. Thanks.

second rarest is mercury but you can farm it from ministry troops or gun fort leppers. again, bring the bell demon. the rest can all be bought from merchants.

Very little replayability.
Which is somewhat contradictory to how satisfying it can be once you truly get good.
Its too short lived, why even bother getting good at the game?

where's the best place to get fulminated mercury

literally read the post two up from yours you brainlet

Demon of Hatred

Basically any boss you need some gimmicks to beat and you can't parry is a weakness that should go back to souls games and die with it.

you can parry all three of those. and you dont 'need' a gimmick to beat them. it just makes it easier for shitters like you.

You don't need gimmicks to beat any of those.
Git gud.
