I did play through it once on RPCS3 but my I5-6600k, even at 4,7GHz, can't get a smooth performance out of the game. Shame, DeS looks gorgeous in 4k but I'll probably do my future replays on PS3 if I can't squeeze better performance out of the emulator or hardware.

I think for Demon's Souls you mainly need vulkan support

if you can't get good performance at 4k then don't upscale it so much, try full hd or 2k

People have said this game has bad music but I've never heard it first hand. If this is supposed to be one of the stand out tracks it's unacceptably bad. Bargain bin indie titles from russia have better quality OSTs.

Worlds are tiny, which is only made bigger through doors, obstacles and mazes but it's only tedious in gameplay.
Unless you're really good you're gonna need those consumables, which you only get back when you farm for them or easily dupe.
There are many corridors or steep footings while groups of enemies await you around every corner.
All attacks decimate stamina so fights can feel like a slog.
It has some fresh ideas with world tendency and online but that is mostly gone with emulation.

Because Sekiro can't be emulated yet.

I'm running it on 9600k and gtx 770, 720p stable 30fps. I imagine I could easily shoot for 60fps patch and higher res if i upgraded my gpu but whatever. you should be good.

I've tried twice. First time booted, ran like shit despite throwing 5.2GHz at it. Second time there was an issue with a specific update this game in RPCS3 that made it crash frequently.

I know it's better now and I would much rather play it that way than drag my PS3 out of storage, but my initial impression hasn't been good. I played so much Demon's Souls back in the day that it's basically going to have to be perfect for me to be on board.

I played all soulsborne games besides DaS3 and DeS is the only one I didn't finish. Imo it's just worse DaS in pretty much every aspect, I played DaS first and I felt like I was playing just a worse version of that game. I understand its value in being the first, but as a game played today it's just not that much after all the soulsborne we had.

How come there hasn't been an area as good as The Tower of Latria since DeS? Also, how come there hasn't been as good as a 1v1, pvp fight as the Monk arch demon since DeS?

I put over 200 hours into it on PS3 and don't care to play it anymore.

Are you neet or something? If you have neetbux at least buy a 1050ti. I had q8400 and 1050ti and it could play every modern game. In cpu intensive areas like novigrad fps dropped to 19, but otherwise even witcher 3 ran at 60 fps.

Demon's Souls: servers were taken down so no invasions at all.
Dark Souls 1, 3: stay hollowed.
Dark Souls 2: you can't; you can use an effigy but it's temporary. On the other hand the online is almost dead
Bloodborne: never summon anybody.

Not him but I stayed hollowed on those games for that very reason: I don't see the point of engaging on PvP when you don't get an unique reward (besides covenant items but who cares about those), you end spending resources while still away from the next bonfire and your build will always lose against a specialized PvP build.
