A new furnace is okay, but it's a huge waste of potential to just make it a regular furnace. It should have had different gameplay to make it more interesting to use.

See, this game has near infinite potential, and Microsoft could make so much money in so many ways. They could easily make so many expansion packs. Like a ocean one where you can sail out on a ship you built yourself, face gigantic monsters (hundreds of times bigger than your ship) and so on. A lovecraftian expansion since horror is a gigantic niche. Just add tons of content at each one and make the quality much higher than that of your average mod and they would be printing money.
I can understand Notch being unable to do that because his team was very small, but Microsoft has no excuse.

Genuinely seems like a great update. Foxes are a meh edition, but the village changes and the new crafting is cool. I really like what their doing with the updates. 1.13 improved the oceans and 1.14 improved Villages. It seems each update is improving areas of the game that are lacking

Adding some danger to villages was a neat idea but they went too far considering how fucking stupid the villagers are. It's like a busload of terminators raiding one of those schools for retards and handicapped kids. Golems are marginally useful, when they aren't spawning on the fucking roof and when they actually feel like attacking, but that's pretty uncommon. It's more effective to just kill the golems yourself for iron bars and build a prison for your villagers.

I just tested this on Pre-release 2 and they seem to be fine. None of them have drowned, not even the baby foxes.

An entire decade worth of fixes, mechanical updates, and overhauls for all the bullshit they threw in to the game on a whim and never finished and now have built more half implemented broken systems on top of.
Know how if you spawn near a village you should set up your base outside of chunk load distance of the village because otherwise it'll take no more than two nights unprotected to turn into a ghost town full of zombies because Mojang literally never finished iron golems or mob AI or even considered how villages were supposed to last in the long run without the player babysitting them every time the sun goes down? I would fix that.
Know how alchemy has been half implemented since the beta 1.9 snapshots? How you can still brew all the alternative base potions that they were going to do something with but never actually did and then never cut from the game or really did anything worthwhile with? And how cauldrons are almost entirely pointless despite being added specifically for alchemy but never being actually used because no reason?
I would fix that.

After dying while the game was paused for the fifth time in the crappy bedrock version, I decided to revert back to the old Nontendo Switch edition.
God is it so much better.
No more poorly animated water zombies crawling out of a river and coming after me from a mile away every few minutes, can't imagine what managing a seaside village would be like in those conditions.
No more annoying flying manta rays constantly harassing me, which do barely any damage and are only there to be a nuisance.

I want to fix literally every game system and mechanic that has been added since beta 1.8 because literally all of them are half finished garbage tacked on to the game. Every single one of them.
I could go on a rant like that about virtually any part of the game, like how they fucked up the world gen algorithm on accident when adding strongholds in 1.8 so terrain variation and interesting land marks are more constrained and much less common and they have refused to fix it ever since, but you can download a mod that reimplements the beta world gen while preserving the modern structure and biome bullshit and it's so incredibly baffling how large an improvement it is for how fucking simple a change.

I enjoy a lot of the content they've been adding recently, specifically the aquatic update which is the best (and most necessary) update since Microsoft bought them out. But I really want to see more shit which is necessary on a reasonable time scale. A cave update or a nether update would be good (last time Nether got new anything was 1.10, last time cave got new anything was 1.8)

The Endermen were always a dumb concept for a mob that appeared on the surface. In their first implementation, they used to grab blocks and fuck up the landscape by turning everything into Swiss cheese.
