I lost a dog close to 2 years ago. It was sudden & she was young. I still feel bad about it.
Truth is that I did the opposite thing: I stopped playing games for close to 2 months. I just went outside and did shit. Raked up every leaf that I could possibly see. Weeded the garden to an inch of it's life. Pruned every single tree to the point where even a ladder couldn't help me.
The only thing that will ultimately help you is time. Just put distance between yourself and this event.
