I understand that remakes of N64 games are supposed to look better on the DS/3DS and that saying otherwise would make most people call you insane. But I recently started playing this and am disappointed with how shitty it looks. There's just a bluriness to the graphics/textures that is really unappealing. The N64 game somehow looks "sharper" even if the textures were objectively less detailed. I'm not quite sure how to explain this, but does anyone know what I mean?
Why do handheld games always look so blurry?

The 3DS is only running a slightly higher resolution. Compared to an N64 console on a CRT, though? It's an improvement.
Bluriness is not the only problem in this version of the game. This remake is great and all that but it unironically lacks SOUL so if you are a fan of the original then the 3DS version just won't appeal to you. Same goes for Majora's Mask 3D
can you elaborate what you mean by SOUL because I loved OoT on the N64 and I loved it on 3DS
>NEW BAD
Honestly the N64 graphics are part of the charm for me. It always takes me back and I generally like the aesthetic of the late 90s PS1/N64 games. But that's personal preference I guess, I should've stated that it's only my opinion in my first post though. Just like SoTC remake, the 3DS version of Ocarina is objectively good but if I were to recommend OoT to somebody I'd say that the original is still the definitive version to experience it
I have the game and it doesn't look blurry at all, TF are you talking about ?
cuz it's a 240p screen retard
Based boomer retard

Okay, no. The 3D version defintely look better and sharper than the N64 version (also, better framrate, that alone make the game much more confortable to look at). The only way the N64 could have looked better for you is if you had played it on emulator. So if you want a fair comparison, go try the 3D version on Citrus.
It doesn't looks better, it looks different

That's the only real advantage of the 3DS version
