Seriously? With MK9 it was starting to go downhill for MK select screens.
MKA was the last good one but Deception had the best out of all MK3D games.

I just liked the aesthetics of it. I liked the gothic "metal" feel. The theme; youtu.be/9elreAnvKgg, also supported that crude feel the game showed throughout its tone and campaign.
Unlike MKX, which is just bland and doesn't really have a direct sense of character or tone, and MK11, which has the futuristic wub-wub Injustice aesthetic which I despise.

Mvc2 has the better look and soundtrack

MvC2 was a step down from 1 in everything but roster size, we lost the character themes for generic tracks

If only the art was good.

The roster size gave us more varied game play but I will admit, a lot of the music and style are gone. There are some great levels in 2 but the levels in 1 feel more personalized and lively.
