Vampire police officers would be a dream come true for a lot of people. You think a vampire police officer is gonna randomly shoot some black kid with a water pistol? You think a vampire police officer is going to panic in the face of danger? You think a vampire police officer is gonna get gunned down during a raid and then everyone is sad? No. They would be calm, collected, efficient, and very difficult to kill. So no random black people being murdered by panicking police officers who felt "threatened", and no police officer funerals because they randomly got shot in the head. In short, police officers who get shit done, don't shoot innocent people, and who don't risk dying.

Most crime already happens in broad daylight, vamp cops would only increase that percentage making them pretty useless in the end.
Also, vampires are extremely strong which makes them perfect for rescue operations. Little Timmy is trapped under rubble? The sexy vampire police lady can dig him out with her bare well manicured hands.

That is an interesting point. Although one could argue that if the police was full of vampires, there would be a degree of nervousness around committing crimes during the day regardless because once the sun goes down, they're going to be on your trail? It wouldn't reduce crimes of passion, but planned crimes would take a dive.
Also, in the VTMB context you have to consider the possibility of vampire ghouls being day cops while vampires take over during the night. Ghoul police officers aren't anywhere near as strong or resilient or magical as vampires, but they would be less likely to freak out and do something stupid, and they would be far more durable than regular human ones.

I always felt that the augmented in the Eidos Montreal Deus Ex games were a piss-poor analogue for vampires. They're super strong, have the ability to manipulate people through speech, and shit like that. And after heaps of them go berserk and kill people, they're demonized. Jensen was turned into one without his consent.
I think that a Deus Ex-like game where you played a vampire government agent would be very interesting. I guess VTMB 2 might scratch that itch.
