HOLY FUCKING LACK OF SOUL
HOLY FUCKING LACK OF SOUL
Is that CUDA upscaling?
show original
Well they have no faces, only noses
No kidding, looks like everyone in the pews had their photo taken by a gypsy.
please, don't tell me that this is the pc version
I Have No Mouth and Must Scream Objection
cry more spritefag, the wide angle shot always looked shit, even on GBA
The port is actually pretty good though, and I hope they bring the rest of the games to PC.
That's the new re-release on steam at max settings my friend.
MUH PIXELS!
Why do they have them backwards?Phoenix is always shown on the left side of the room in the OBJECTION scenes with the judge in the center
Is there no option for turning all filters off? Is this just the GBA versions again meaning no bonuses?
It sure is. Playing it now. The scenes where they cut back for the commotion in the stands are all noticeably awful and they all look just like this.
no and yes. it's pretty much a direct port of the 3ds/ios remakes.
>it's pretty much a direct port of the 3ds/ios remakes.
Not entirely, the missing animation frames were added back, and background were fleshed out, easter eggs were also added.
what filters? and it's the most polished and updated version of the trilogy/HD rerelease so far
Nope
geometry, how it work
You're wrong my man, you're seeing them through the judges POV.
They're not going to but imagine if they released an official case maker using these assets.
I'm sure there'll be some missing sprites here or there, Apollo on 3DS had like 2 sprites missing, I'll make a list once I feel like playing through the games again, but after a test on case 1, Phoenix finally has all his sprites
it was baffling that he was missing some to begin with, more impressive that AA2 seems to have its sprites now, they really only polished AA1 for the 3DS version, the other 2 games had horrible missing spritework, this new release seems good so far
Same difference.
i dont get why they can't just let you use a digitizer filter if you want
the sprites are ugly as fuck and undefined without being pixelated they weren't made to be shown at this level of fidelity
Everyone knows the wii sholp channel version is the way the devs intended it to be played...
We must go wider
It's the shitty DS resolution being upscaled to high-resolution PC screens. What do you expect? All things considered, I think they captured the aesthetic well.
Remember people: Old thing that I like = SOUL, new thing that I don't like = SOULLESS
I'm confused. Which side are the defense and prosecutor supposed to be on?
If this looks the same to you as the picture in the OP, you need to get some glasses.
those pictures have phoenix on the same side in both you retard, the perspective is rotated 180°
how is the new anime
is it better than the old one?
no the lack of soul comes from just upscaling the old graphics and having this smudgy blurry mess instead of actually doing a remake
or do some ACTUAL remastering work instead of just slapping an autotrace filter on it.
it's the equivalent of the predator remasters
The anime gets it wrong. The games are from the judge's POV, and in that POV, defense is on the left and prosecution is on the right.
They did that though. There was some blog post from Capcom employees talking about how they had to redraw many assets and sprites.
vs something like Psycho
New anime is actually a lot better. They actually put effort into it. Last episode is kino and Iris is 10/10 waifu.
Then they did a bad job because Von Karma, the Judge. Phoenix and anyone else in those wide angle scenes are detailless blobs with shit coloring.
>No soul
>While no one post the original DS version
shitiest bait thread
its one specific scene no ones going to load up an emulator and find a wide shot in the first case of game 2 just to post here
Not the same case, but I suppose it will do.
and it works because it's 240x160
>lowres good
>highres bad
The state of this incel board.
high res is great if you have the detail for it
stretching a low resolution image to be gigantic isn't a high res image though it's just a stretched out low res image.
Stretching what? do you even saw the original DS version?
This is a new art rework based on the old one.
I swear this board only exist for larping.
It's a remaster, not a remake. As far as remasters go, it's pretty fucking good, considering it went from minuscule to giant. You SAY it's a smudgy blurry mess, but it's no less defined than the wide-angled stuff in the original. On top of that, there's no actual blurriness; while they do use thick lines, the colours are bold and distinctly make out the picture instead of being the jumbled garbage that would have actually resurfaced from upscaling the old graphics.
You can dislike the remaster, that's fine, nobody's gonna throw you in jail for having a personal dislike of how they chose to handle the art direction. But when you start lying to make a point, then your opinion becomes garbage.
Pic related; that's the sort of quality they had to work with. Merely upscaling that would have resulted in a much worse outcome than what we have.
and the new art "rework" (see: stretching the old sprites) looks like fucking garbage because they were never meant to be seen at resolutions this high
also
>board
>larp
you're an idiot.
What's wrong with this? It's practically the same thing as playing MGS1 on PS1 graphically speaking
>ou SAY it's a smudgy blurry mess, but it's no less defined than the wide-angled stuff in the original.
Which wasn't a smudgy blurry mess because it was at like 160p. What part of this aren't you getting? The lack of detail works when you don't have the space for it. Stretched up to 1080p and with the ugly smoothing filter on top, it looks like garbage.
how can it be from the judge's pov if you have shots where you're looking at the judge
Have sex
Are people ironically defending this shit?
>32 bit gamer
>now happy this game isn't compatible on my pc
It looks fine to me. What more should they have even done?
drawn the people they have on screen
Bought this for my mom. She loves it. Eat shit OP.
PoV is from the center bench.
