Hey all. Is this PC a good deal? My dad won the lottery a month or so back (not the main jackpot but we still got a large sum) and I’m looking on getting in to the gaming scene. I thought this looked cool but it’s a lot of money.

how much
Just assemble your Pc yourself
GPU?
How much?
Assemble it from parts yourself and never, ever, ever pay more than fifteen hundred dollars for them total. The more expensive a computer is the worse the returns are.
>Omen
Wow being a PC gamer is so edgy and mysterious...
The regular towers cost less than 2000 for christs sake.
You could get a really nice custom piece by Falcon Northwest or Maingear for that kind of money.
>save $1000
>still costs $8000
I bought an Omen laptop because I needed something to play games on while I traveled, and the thing fucking sucked.
It had like 3 key rollover, and some of the keys would double tap. Thing was ass, I bought a Lenovo instead.
holy mother of fucking shit
funny enough I bought the model of that but the one right below. Amazing computer. Shame GPUs are nowhere near what they should be this gen except for the 2080ti
>buying prebuilt
1-888-wow-son
There's zero reason to use an i9 for gaming. I'm running an i7 6700k which is 4 years old at this point with a 2080ti at 4K and I am yet to find a game where it even comes close to being a bottleneck. Also the i9 tend to have lower clocked cores but more of them which can actually be worse in some games.
Buy a pc from the better known prebuilt providers. They also got way better cases then a boring cube
That's like 3-4 good PCs lmao wtf
I have a BSc in EE and I buy pre-built desktops. I'm an engineer not a technician.
t. poorfag
fucking leaf
not trying and just picking the most expensive shit is still cheaper.
>EE
I always knew you fags were brainlets.
Try to do some signal processing and report back how brainlet friendly it is
>still pretending the only option is making a computer yourself
>2019
It is like you are completely oblivious to the actual market.
Does anyone have that screencap of the kid on the (i think) bioware(?) forums? talking about how he just bought a gaming pc but couldn't run KOTOR(?)? and he was saying the guys at geeksquad set it up so there was no way it was a problem on his machine?
>signal processing
BSc in BME, worked in a BCI and neurocritical care lab in undergrad. DSP isn't that hard.
>still pretending other options are good
pcpartpicker.com
The same price
Ghost you're a hambone.
>50 usd cooler on that housefire cpu
God fucking hell NO
Get something for maximum 2k
Spend the rest on a car or something
pcpartpicker.com
Only 120$ more
Might as well as throw away 64GB of RAM and try to put a 4k monitor in
Omen does not come with a monitor right
BUILD YOUR OWN TRUST ME
PLEASE
Never buy a pre-built computer from Alienware or anyone; they mark up the price incredibly high and give you
garbage parts, you pay for the name
essentially.
Over 100 guides on YouTube on how to assemble compooters, it’s so easy
lol i can build that for like 2k wtf
why doesnt this list the GPU? should be SLI 2080TI's for that fucking price
You're on a board full of third worlders and poorfags if you're being serious, but if your flexing then buy it then post pictures of it and talk about how happy you are with it as the poorfags and third worlders seethe with their ghetto builds
i love my ghetto build. $700 3 years ago still works today :)
>"works"
>60fps on medium settings at 1080
alol
sh-shutup its not like i wanted to play on ultra 4k anyways!
Just look on newegg or tiger direct
4k is a meme but if you're not playing 140+fps at ultra then you're poverty tier
>OEM Motherboard
Oh it's Garbage alright.
all i play is league of legends. every new game that comes out sucks anyways.
Yea I believe it's a bit much, as for that price you want, in my opinion, a i9-9980xe 18 core, this cpu has less cores. Also some immediate info online says it has a 1080 ti that is no longer the newest and best, you're really just paying for the case and brand, unless they let you pick an upgrade, some reviews go back as far as 2016 for what looks like the same computer
I guess 2080Ti is poverty tier GPU
Yeah I would think they do suck locked at 60fps on medium.
You're an idiot if you're paying for a 2080ti and can't get 150fps
it plays apex legends on high at like 80fps for reference. i dont have gsync tho so i cant see shit. just blurry everything
On Ultra with ray tracing? Youre an idiot if you think you can get that high of an FPS.
Imaging caring more about muh graphics and fps than the games themselves.
Gaming is not a scene fuckhead get lost.
Pro-tip: if the GPU isn't in the title then it's shit.
Just build one yourself you turd. That case is a monstrosity and the PSU is, most likely, some shit Dell garbage.
>Win a lottery
>Immediately get the urge to spend 8 thousand dollars on a cube computer
Once a poorfag, always a poorfag.
Good FPS and graphics enhance good games. Caring about things that make a good thing better seems like a reasonable thing to do.
>paying for Windows
I know we're throwing money away, but this crosses the line
Apparently not as hard as sliding computer parts into their designated slots. Assembling a desktop is like assembling IKEA furniture
how actually important is cable management bros
i just built a pc and threw it all in there but im having anxiety about if i ever have to upgrade
>how actually important is cable management bros
Kind of important for airflow, not that important for upgrades. Cable management is easiest when you have a modular PSU.
I have a modular PSU but it came with these gay multiheaded cables I was having some trouble running. For the most part no cables are interferring with air flow though, temps seem low and the fans are silent. Guess Ill cross that bridge when I get to it,.
as long as they are in the back section, not where all the parts are, it's fine. that part needs to be clean and as cable free as possible
Doing it now just means when you upgrade you can plug things in easier and take them out easier
the PCI-E going into the GPU is pretty in the way but other than that nothing unnecessary is sticking out. Guess I'll get a new cable for that sometime this week if only for peace of mind. I dislike having it that close to the cpu heatsink anyway
since there isn't any other way to hook up your video card, it's a given.
you can always check build montages on youtube and stuff to see how close to that yours is. That cable shouldn't be anywhere near the cpu, but thats dependent on the case really
Why aren't all PC cases asthetic like this and OPs case?
All of them always have to be some shitty ass rectangle or fucking refrigerator monstrosity.
I wish mine looked like one of those Intel i9 polygram containers
Some prebuilts, especially the high ends, are actually comparably priced to the sum of their individual components. Keyword: some. Especially when prebuild makers are able to buy in bulk and get savings that way.
The REAL money is made in normie-grade computers that would cost $200 normally but are priced at $600. Insane margins there.
don't get it
>pre-build
never.
even if its good it will be overpriced af.
some people aren't nine and grow out of making your pc look like a toy
i, myself, use a tasteful P300 (red and black). i got as many non-LED components as I could, but the fan was cheaper to get the LED version so I went with a tasteful red to compliment the case. note how this is a man's PC and not your gay little buttplug shaped toy.
seriously though this case was like $35 bucks i was shocked at how cheap it was for a nice glass panel case
>64GB RAM
>Glass panels
professional my fucking ASS
Fucking dumbass all pcs look the same. Glass panels ,black ,leds, no. Leds, fancy cable shit
Fuck that shit.
Fuck you
this looks like an actual simon says toy
like a bop it or something
please tell me you don't find that cool
>He doesn't like bop it
Pleb
led's look cool , and u can always just turn them off when u get sick of them. lol fucking incel fgt
i like shitty ass rectangles, they take less space on the floor and are cheaper
i loved it when i was seven
This is for you. Fucking boring ass square man.
nope because once again, i'm not seven. a problem you don't seem to be dealing with.
>cube case
>lay it on an edge
But why?
takes up more space this way
build a fucking NASA computer yourself with that money
You're paying for the stupid cube and I feel sorry for your dad having a retarded leech for a son
i mean whats the point dude?? if youre flexing then fucking buy it. people with money with actual knowledge on how build pcs will never buy a prebuilt one(and will always recommend you to build your own or at least buy the parts and go to a trusted pc builder to assemble it for you). its not just about the money involved but also the quality of the parts youre putting in.
This, then the month later you complain about being in a shitty financial situation again.
You guys fucking never learn even when you get help out of nowhere.
There's flexing and then there's buying a prebuilt.
Someone with money to throw would get a custom one made for them with a unique design.
No matter how much is spent on a prebuilt there is no way to shake off the understanding that they didn't know what they were doing and wasted money
*blocks your path*
LOOOOOOOL that is a sexy ass monitor tho
>256GB of ram
>4TB SSD
imagine buying a 16k PC you can't even open to clean or plug another SSD/HDD
>what is USB-C/thunderbolt
well i understand throwing money to get a custom built pc, but at least it can be worth it if its made with quality and youre not just paying for the company name. what OP posted is just broad daylight robbery
