When he goes to grab you jump. When hes winding up to throw stuff at you also jump out of the way. 2nd phase just keep an eye on the head. If he pauses and gets rdy to hold it up run backasswards asap. Literally just beat him twenty mins ago.

First phase stick real close to him, jump over his grabs, and I thought so via vitality was easier. Just guard all his slams.
Second phase I played med range and tried to actually party more. Umbrella blocks all the terror scream. KOd via posture damage.

One of the easier bosses, you can even just run away from everything and run in for a hit or 2 during openings, don't even have to parry if you're shit at it.

he took me 3 tries. his attacks are slow and easy to predict and parry, he gives you plenty of space to heal, he stuns like a bitch to fireworks, fire & good clean hits.
his second phase is even easier. blocking that big slam is so easy and totally fucks him up.

If you have the spring loaded or cleaver type it will pull a centepede out of him that you cant hit for a lot of damage.

spear is your friend in phase two. Deflect his sword combo and when he stumbles forward stab his neck hole with the spear for high posture damage

Phase one, jump back while blocking to dodge most of his attacks, when you learn combos just deflect instead. Get 2-3 swings in until dead.
Phase 2 is even easier as long as you sprint or jump away like a mad man whenever he emotes for howl. Deflect sword attacks, or jump back while blocking for even safer execution. When he raises sword high in the air deflect and either wail into him or use grapplong spear to pull out centipede for massive damage
