Jak 1 is pretty short especially if you rush through what you've already done, I highly recommend replaying it. I've herd the jak games emulate poorly though

He laments not being able to wear pants on a few occasions, but doesn’t really make any effort to return to his old self. Probably because the only thing that theoretically could is the light eco, which is used up in Jak 1 and doesn’t reappear until Jak 3 (at which point nobody seems to care about Daxter’s body anymore). He probably finds himself better off that way, though, since he seems to have better luck with ladies when he’s fuzzy than when he looked like his old nerdy self.

He basically gave up on it.

PS4 is fine for Jak 1, but hoo-boy are the others rough. The frame rate is anywhere from 60 to 12, and it changes every ten seconds.
