this game is always popular here

What are the chances capcom reboots Dead Rising on RE engine and saves the series like they did recently with DMC5, Megaman 11, etc.?

Wouldn't be the first time a dr game ran on an RE engine.

This is another game series I need to collect and play through. Thanks for reminding me.

it all started when it was ported to PC

shilling because a reboot is coming

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELL

This game gets lets fun over time instead of more fun

>Dead Rising 4
>removed time limit
>nerfed boss fights, removed their cutscenes
>retooled inventory to let you carry a million things at once instead of earning carry space
>health pickups everywhere, trivializing the survival horror aspect
>market the gane as the long-awaited return of Frank West, give him a new VA, look, and personality
Glad it flopped. Also it made DR3 look better by comparison so I look like less of a lunatic for liking it.

Bringing back lifeseeker to do the closing credits song to Dead Rising 2 Off the Record was fucking brilliant.

My gut tells me they’ll icebox the franchise for a half decade, but I’d love to be wrong.

Dead Rising was never a horror game.

this is the only good game inafune ever made

her tiddies were the best part of the game desu senpai

Inafune doesn't make games

THIS IS MY STOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORE

It really wasn't but despite its campy moments it was arguably the most serious of the bunch.

I'd love to see it, but I really doubt it. Sure it does as well as DMC does in terms of total franchise sales numbers, but there's things worth remembering like Capcom Vancouver being in charge of the series longer than the Japan branch and what influences Capcom would take moving forward, and the fact that it took Dead Rising 4 an entire year across all platforms to sell one million copies, which is only a few thousand more than something low budget like MegaMan 11.

im a massive faggot disregard this post

Dead Rising doesn't have any clones expect for DR2 which was meh at best.

Dead Rising is an amazing tech demo for a game.

I played it on PC recently. It was frustratingly cheap but somehow that added to the charm.

did they ever explain where exactly Brock and his special forces came from? Their uniforms have zero distinguishing marks and apparently they're not in touch with the rest of the government if two DHS agents were completely unaware about their activities and MO.

He fought Carlito in some kind of a storage room in the underground tunnels. Carlito ended up locking Brad outside in the tunnels full of zombies without any weapons. Finding Brad in the tunnels after you get rid of all the bombs will trigger a sort of secret cutscene. Frank finds Brad sitting against a wall and he asks Frank to kill him and to not tell Jesse.

Maybe they were some confidential black ops team.

I loved DR1 and hated the sequels. They marketed it as a wacky zombie killing simulator but it was actually a pretty good time-based sandbox with multiple endings/different playthroughs to see all the content. The sequels instead focused on the wacky zombie killing and they are shit because that gets dull fast. Funnily enough the game was criticized heavily for its unique mechanics at the time which is probably why they veered off and changed the focus. That and the game being handed to a different studio.

This was one of the saddest death to me that I had ever seen in a game. In the cutscene with Brad and Carlito fighting, they both ran out of ammo, so I don't know why he still had a gun. Sorry for the poor video quality.
