That's not the same thing, they're western-created characters from japanese franchises, and they're all first party. No, that doesn't mean Sub Zero is getting in. A rule's a rule until it's not, but there hasn't been a western third party yet. It's probably unlikely.

It's not going to happen. Notice we get Sf representation, but we'll never get MK representation. Because one of the cornerstones of MK is over the top violence. Same with Doom. It's an integral part of the experience. That will hurt Nintendos image, in their eyes. Literally no chance.
