ps1 experimental music stopped as soon as the next generation system came around. there was an attempt in the 3rd game but it just wasnt there. the rest of the games he composed for were east exclusive. stages other than mech ones were hardly unique
you were given tools with no real usages outside of the stages they were introduced in and pretty much riding on the fact that people liked the first game.
The only minor thing i liked was they got Ash and Misty voice actors from the old pokemon show to voice act in the game.

as a game itself its fine but it just doesnt capture, no pun intended, the feel of the first game. Probably like most know games at that time they just wanted to rush something to the ps2 and cut things they think they dont need. they eventually remastered the first game for psp along with the entire soundtrack. cant talk about the 3rd game without running into pedos.

I need to go back and play SaruSaru Big Mission. Never expected that game to be good.

The levels are pretty weak, the new gadgets are kinda lame, and Soichi Terada didn't compose the music

I actually unironically love On the Loose. Ape Escape looks suprrisingly good when the draw distance isn't 2 meters from your face.

But whoever was in charge of localising it needs to be taken behind the barn. One of the cutscenes isn't even dubbed with the new actors.
