I never understood why you wouldn't leave the power level up all the way all the time.

introduces hiss. 75% is best.

And you Amegronoids and Europoos never got to see it like this because that's the Japanese one, that I have! NEEEERDS!

I dig it. I miss physical, clearly labeled buttons on consoles. The PS4 can go fuck itself with its capacitive buttons that I can never remember which one is which.

i'm too lazy to google. were those some special editions? all i've ever seen were the normal gray ones and i've like 3 of those

Net Yaroze (Black one) allowed you to create games and upload them to the internet. They were public dev kits which were more expensive than normal PS1s, you were required to have software to make games, which came with the consoles. They were also region free, so you could play chipped games.

The Green and Blue ones are dev kit debugging consoles, they were also region locked. If I remember correctly, the white one was Japan only and it was just a regular PS1.

>they were also region locked
Meant to say they were NOT region locked. I'm tired.

I see you are a man of culture like myself, i bought a MD everdrive last year to use in it.

okay thanks for the info. very much appreciated. no wonder i haven't seen any of those. the black one especially looks really rad.

I use mine too. I get collecting and leaving it on the shelf but... I don't like doing that. I must be played.

No problem. I love to collect vidya shit. It means I can play all my imports with no issues. Hope you read my correction to my post here

Atari 2600 was WAY nicer looking. The Japanese version of the TG-16 with the CD-ROM add-on attached to it was also vastly superior looking to Genesis.

Still got one in my hometown. They downsized it from... 6 to 3. I believe the units got moved from Coral Island to Mr T's

yea read that.
i only pick up stuff if it's cheap and interesting. so only casually collecting. cd-i is probably the only thing that's even remotely rare that i've.

I only use my cartridges when a friend is here to play and we want the "classic experience", what version of the everdrive do you have? (mine is X7) is there any fundamental/big differences?
