Thebes or Athens. I'll most likely stay in Greece in the beginning
Seleucids are gayreek though
>giving money to paradox
Rome to learn the game and then Carthage
Do you have the pic where it's each branch of the Roman military depicted as a cute girl?
either rome or carthage, I don't think the rest will be fleshed out enough
You better give me something good in return
Planning to do Ptolemy Egypt, but I might still end up changing my mind before the game comes out.
I have nothing but gratitude.
You know that all the rulers were named Ptolemy, there are long lines of nothing but Ptolemy.
Might have started with the ones after Alexander, I dunno, but it's not a good unit of time
I got a thing for flat tomboys, preferably tanned or tanlines. Short hair is a must, and a stellar rump
Parthia so I can dab on the gayreeks
based and ahura mazdapilled
My first playthrough will be waiting on balance patches because it's gonna be broken as usual, with sprinkles of shit AI
Carthage so I can dab on the r*mans
What's with the Hellenistic hate? Some kind of contratian thing I don't know about?
it already looks incomplete
>AI Rome never conquers Carthage
>Mauriyan poo nation takes everything up to Mesopotamia
>Egypt and Macedonia always the superblobs
>but it's not a good unit of time
What? The game begins in 304 BC (if I remember correctly). It's literally one of the most prominent factions.

Shouldn't legio be called principi?
Fucks sake you ignorant asshole, Ptolemy was one of Alexanders generals, as was Seleucus
1st DLC adds Aztecs, 2nd DLC adds zombies, 3rd DLC improves Sweden
>manage to get an 0 in team building
Fuck yeah, this is literally me. Found the waifu, let's rock.
you forgot the Egypt, Indian and steppe nomad DLCs
A naval expansion will probably be the first thing they do. It's already so barebones
Hellenistic Greek states were in a perpetual state of war. War of the diadochi is a prime example of that. They may have made advancements to society and culture but Persia outclassed then all with a better administration and learning institutions. A citizen in the Persian empire was much better off than a citizen in the Hellenistic states that discriminated between Greeks and non Greeks.
That's fine. I was just wondering why someone would pick one nation just to screw with another. He could have gone with the Turkish and just taken over Greece earlier than what happened.
>waiting 600 years for the Turks when you can do that with the Arabs from the beginning.
Surely you aren't buying this, right? How many times do you have to be tricked?
>Implying I buy paradox games on release
I only bought CK2 and its DLCs when it was 80% off or shit like that
Im just gonna pirate imperator
Carthage
i pretty much enjoy every paradox game. i don't see a reason not to. they're the only ones making this genre of game and i want to support that.
Carthage has a pretty fun start. You can either focus on reigning the berbers in so they don’t betray you; conquer Italy; or focus entirely on Spain.
I didn't play HoI 4 that much, but i still enjoy the games.
Etruscans
You should absolutely not support them. Their DLC model is the single most anti-consumer one in the entire industry.
It's one thing for them to release barebones games with broken mechanics and only fix them later with DLC.
It's entirely another thing to release barebones games, fix them with DLC and forcibly introduce the mechanics into the game and basically gimp you unless you pay them for the DLC.
>gimp you unless you pay them for the DLC
what are some examples of that because that's never really been my experience. i guess development and estates in EU4, but they've gone back on that and they're in the base game now. most of their recent expansions have been mostly fluff, and the bulk of the improvement comes with the free patch.
You forgot cosmetics and music
Bunch of Persian nationalists and Turks getting btfo on /int/ and /his/ taking their butthurt elsewhere
Fucking retard
