hahaha
that is fucking going to drop in price so hard once we (finally) get the damn game out.

Agreed. You need to sell it while you can, user. If you really like it just buy it back like a year after the port is out for cheap.

steel battalion in the box. missing the manual tho

I don't have it pic is from google

MGS3 Subsistence limited edition

Got this on ebay in a random auction from a seller who didn't understand its value for $20.

Attached: viewtiful joe kamiya autograph.jpg (1600x1018, 278K)

Too lazy to take a picture but have an NTSC Worms Armageddon N64 cart.
>tfw the PAL version is worth fuck all

Attached: 51857CGM0KL._SX466_[1].jpg (466x316, 44K)

Besides consoles?

Probably a Collector's Edition of some game.

Weren't they porting it to PC? What happened?
Where is MWC, devolver-digital?

Got it from a con a few years ago has doubled in price since then

Attached: 91Bg7wv6BVL._SL1500_.jpg (1500x844, 182K)

I suggest you selling that shit asap because a PC version is coming, making it massively drop in pricess

Game wise probably God Hand or some other game I own and I dont know is rare now.

Merch related this book with dust jacket I got for retail price a few years ago and sells for over $100 now. O

Attached: ci-120913155928-960.jpg (959x717, 89K)

probably my flight sim set up.
got a nice H.O.T.A.S system, some pedals and an eye tracker.

If you want to ever play it without using the disc a fan made a website that acts as the game

Unopened copy of Rule of Rose on PS2

I bought the Ludens Figma cause I love the design. It's kinda pricey.

Attached: figma02.jpg (1200x1800, 290K)

Probably my Sega saturn

Shantae PC PS4

Damn dude. I got a used copy unfortunately.

Still cost me like $200.

xenogears and alundra for the ps1

i've had one out in my garage for a decade
is it worth any money?
not sure if it works - need to bust it out and try it

I just found out recently that this edition had an extremely low quantity to give to the winners of the contest after owning it for years. But it's probably the most rarest and expensive thing I'll ever own

Attached: 1261.fortunehunter.jpg (610x512, 50K)

yeah unopened copy is like $300-$400 on eBay, dunno if I should sell it now or wait

Did Yea Forums manage to snag any rare or uncommon games for a good price? Did you sell any games for a high price and profit lately as well?

I had an original copy of Eternal Darkness

Jesus christ

Attached: 2.png (1280x437, 255K)

I managed to get Heart Gold for $58AUD which is great considering it sells for $100+ now. I also sold Persona Q for the 3DS for $100 which got me a profit of $60.

probably gamecube copy of twilight princess or demon's souls black phantom edition. I think my gamecube copy of Ikaruga is almost worthless now since the HD ports came out

It's out of print, so I had to get it for about 80 bucks on eBay. Great condition though.

Attached: 61TfWOamS-L._SX348_BO1,204,203,200_.jpg (350x499, 55K)

I wish we got more in depth history books like that. I may try to find an epub or something

>
>Jesus christ
>ONLY 200 MADE! WOW!
Why are eBay sellers so cancerous?

ikaruga's still worth something if you didn't pay something stupid for it, like i did with pikmin 2 before the wii release

I got 2 copies of Pandora's Tower (wii) for £10 when blockbuster went under. Think they will be worth a bit. Also xeno 1 and Radiant Dawn. I dropped nintendo after the wii because the games never ever go down in price

I have Saturn Bomberman, Secret of Mana sealed in the box, and Fairchild Channel F in the box with all the original package inserts.

Had to sell my stuff years ago to move. I have a modest collection now but nothing worth too much. here is a small sample of what I used to have

Attached: 1431713619691.jpg (969x710, 264K)

Worth about $200-$250 now.

Attached: 37ed7t1rioe21.jpg (960x1280, 229K)

To this day, I regret not purchasing the second volume (which covered the Game & Watch line) when I saw it in a random comic shop a long time ago.

Probably my sealed copy of Hagane for SNES. Found it for $20 at a clearance warehouse, worth about $3000.

Attached: hagane_img_2134t23_1t13f13f.jpg (1175x796, 752K)

Eat a dick, Zoomer. Go download a game that you will NEVER own for the same price as a guy who gets a physical product.

i dont have one item in particular that is a lot but a ton of stuff in my collection probably 1-2k worth atm not much but it fills my shelves

fucken' boomer's man. I had a friend of mine have his mom just toss his shit in the bin. they love throwing away technology over a year old.

Got it at a small retro game store for 100 bucks, paid mostly in store credit.

Attached: 5F05465B-55AA-41C6-A9D6-52B5C9D7B161.jpg (220x307, 24K)

Knot a bad deal

I managed to get all three GBA Castlevanias for a total of $40 and they were mint CIB. Now they sell for like $100+ each.

I've got Snatcher in box, and an AES KOF2002

be a man, open that shit and play it.

You should really get that in one of them collector boxes to protect it more.

I bought an open box copy just for this reason. Its also the only sealed game I own because I feel the same way. Hagane is underrated, everyone should play it.

Attached: download.jpg (191x264, 12K)

Its normally in one, thats an old photo where I tried to list it and sell it on a retro forum I go to. Decided to keep it.

Probably this.

Attached: NepandNepre;birth.jpg (710x824, 140K)

Haven’t checked on prices in a while, but it was fetching quite a bit. Cartridge alone is like $90-120.

Attached: B6D2F5FE-57A1-4B92-BE9D-B533BF70F041.jpg (1000x592, 226K)

i bought a vive

i use it practically only for nympho trainer

I don’t own anything expensive. The nostalgia bubble has burst and all my retro games are worthless. It’s not like I bought them recently so I’m not upset.

This Steins;Gate PC limited edition or PSO 1&2 PLUS for Gamecube.

Attached: 20190402_161523.jpg (3264x2448, 1.86M)

One of them has to be the TES Anthology pack. I got it for 20 bucks so I was pretty happy.
I also own Fallout Anthology, the mini-nuke one.

Attached: 91ZZiAtPTML._AC_UL436_.jpg (353x436, 26K)

9 fucking k AU dollars

what the fuck m8

Probably the Neo Geo AES that I went for a couple of years back.
Two original controllers, three games, a NEOSD cartridge and a Bang & Olufsen CRT TV setup for it. Can't wait for the opportunity to set them all up again. Might go for a PC-Engine next.

Attached: 1374295735270.jpg (2989x1725, 455K)

but you clearly didnt take that picture. why would you lie on an anonymous image board?

>bang and olufsen
Whats the deal with these? There one in my local CL for 600 bucks. Has a shit ton of inputs. Never heard of them though.

Why is this expensive now? I got mine at walmart on clearance for 15 bucks.

K here you go nigger

Attached: image.jpg (4032x3024, 1.81M)

Because now it's nowhere I guess. Supply and demand.

Quality CRTs marketed at the upper class and fine hotels. Pretty much the alternative to a Sony Trinitron, especially if you're an Europoor like me.

Shit I should have bought this, are Arena and Daggerfall on Steam?

No, the games in the collection come in CDs with DOSBox

jelly if genuine

Got a mint copy of melee

>tfw will never get a Fred Durst signed Dreamcast

Attached: death-wish-3-ending-o.gif (320x238, 1.93M)

Obvious hardware aside, probably pic related. There's a few other collectables from the PS2 I own like Blood Will Tell, but I think this carries the most value. Best part of all, I got it free.

Attached: ruleofrose.jpg (186x266, 19K)

>collecting megaman games for years now

I have a sealed copy of Bubsy 3D for some reason, plus some limited collectors editions like the Hotline Miami one, which I dont know if it even is possible to find. This fucker was 300 usd tho.

Attached: 8D09B885-427D-48C0-A91A-905F0C0C8ADB.jpg (750x1000, 212K)

what makes this game so pricey? is it purely because its rare or is it really good or what?

probably sonic 1 not for resale copy
I swear my mom's bank accountant gave me a demo of genesis lion king once too but on the agreement we had to return it(we did) and it was slightly different but it's a fuzzy memory

Witcher 2 Special Edition but i think there is something wrong with mine, it seems a little off.

Ectremely lewd loli. Images of the game would be bannable on Yea Forums.

my dreamcast collection. Those SNK and CAP games are all $100 a pop.

Unopened neptunia rebirth limited edition for vita
Last I checked was $300+ and that was like three years ago

Probably my non-greatest hits PS2 copy of Silent Hill 2.

is that really worth something? i have one in my basement. i also have a not for resale meteos.

I tweeted at devolver a while ago about it and they never responded. The site still says 2019 though metalwolfchaos.com/

I donno if I'd call it "good". It's an experience. It's Deadly Premonitions level of jank with less focus on the charm and unintentional comedy, and more on the surreal and kinda creepiness. Also it's all centered around basically children in a lot uncomfortable situations for even adults. Generated a lot controversy and got banned in atleast UK, I think, making a game with an already limited printing even more limited.

thats it?

it's probably less now

Rarest thing I have is just a blue original Xbox but that isn’t too expensive. So I don’t have shit

Here ya go.

Attached: 0A0F9010-C1E2-4CDC-B995-9AD63CE1957F.jpg (4032x3024, 2.19M)

Why is it supposed to be expensive?
It's under $20 on eBay.

It's signed by Hideki Kamiya (the game's creator), damn worth well over that.

Pikmin 2
MGS Twin Snakes
Kingdom Hearts 3D Mark of Mastery
The Lost Story, some boxed edition
Metroid Prime Trilogy
LoZ OoT Gamecube

LoZ OoT 3DS bundle

About 240 CAD for this one purchase. Though if I had bought my wheel stand, T300RS wheel, pro pedals, and TH8A shifter together it would've been over 500 CAD.

No one cares about this game as much as I do but I have a beta copy of Lost Kingdoms 2 that was scrapped and features about 50 less cards than the original and the player model is the original Tara from the first game.

There is also a jump mechanic on the beta disc that didn't make it to the final copy. It's hilarious gamecube era rag doll physics so no surprises it was dumped.

Well, for a while it was my Robin amiibo, it went for as high as 100 bucks.
It's first print. Too bad amiibo stocks improved a few months after

I own hundreds of games from the past 30 years, but I wouldn't know what is worth what since I never cared about selling things.

unrelated, but are you retarded by chance?

The weird thing is, me and like all of my close friends owned and played this game. And for a long time that was that.
Then all of a sudden I hear everyone and their mothers is looking for the game and its value skyrockets.

Attached: Conker.jpg (466x322, 37K)

Ah, didn't see that.

>saw one of these at gamestop in the bargain bin in like, 2005 and didn't pull the trigger

To think RARE Replay is as low as $13 new and it was given away two years ago for watching MS' E3 presentation

Even Live and Reloaded started going for a lot more a few years back too.

sealed fire emblem fates SE, and its only going to get pricier when the 3ds eshop dies

Do you think it would be difficult for him to sign one today?

It's all damaged there

The problem is I'd have to pay for a Limp Bizkit concert for even the slightest chance of it happening.

why does the stick have throttle when there is a seperate throttle?

It's banned in a lot of countries I believe. I only see Japan and North American versions when looking at eBay.

Either my watercooled 1080, or my n64 in a couple of decades.

Probably NieR: Automata's black box edition.

So it can be bought and used by itself. Still useful for things like radar elevation or targeting pod zoom.

I have the Tower of Druaga board game, and its in great condition, there's not too much wear on the box or anything, and the only missing pieces are just 1 blank replacement card and 2 key tokens, which doesn't matter since there are supposed to be 24 keys anyways and you can simply place used keys on a later floor to make up for the missing ones, since you don't need it all prepared at once.
On top of being my most expensive video game related item, it is my most beloved one. I had wanted this thing ever since I saw it in Namco Museum vol.3 when I was 4 or 5. I always loved ToD.

What do you mean original copy? As in, for Gamecube? I have that, I don't think it's that rare.

I think I have that Steins;Gate. I got it in Japan but I must have bought a used copy without realizing it because the code inside was already used and it won't play.

Nothing there is really all that valuable, Castlevania is a bit pricey, dragon Quest is cheap as chips if you buy the Jp version, I don't know how the seppo one is.

I've got mine from when it originally came out, picked it up for like $30 at zellers

I was working video game retail when that game came out and we had about two dozen copies just sitting in our back room because they would not move. I wonder what happened to make it "rare".

I have a copy of SNES Ogre Battle, no box but I have all the inserts. Not the most rare game, but only 65k copies were made, and it's one of the better titles on the system.

I own a house. Its totally paid off. Not rare but I got that goin for me

It’s not the JP version so what’s the point of saying that

Huh I actually bought both of those on a whim because they were cheap as fuck when they released, I didn't realise retards have caused the price to skyrocket. They've just been collecting dust.

Open boxed copies complete go for 130 CAD

Attached: 1-ps2_wildarms_altercodef.jpg (565x785, 93K)

Okay google images

It came out just a few months before the gamecube came out, people were saving up for that or they were playing PS2.
You had games like Onimusha, ZoE, Gran Turismo 3, and Final Fantasy X coming out that year.
It was a niche title, it had almost no publicity, it wasn't even on the Nintendo website, it only got acknowledged by Nintendo finally in a late issue of Nintendo Power, if I remember one of their last ones.

>Look at this rare tape I own, who cares if it's not the Japanese version?
Dub fags are delusional the seppo version of games is almost always garbage

Attached: IMG_8435.jpg (600x1073, 914K)

>buying a pre built pc

Fucking pathetic

opened a sealed in box copy of wild guns around 10 years ago with a friend, played co-op and regret nothing after the price spiked

>Lol! just lyk build u're own labtop brah jus do it
Nice.

Attached: $_32[1].jpg (1234x914, 233K)

Good for you, collecting for value and to eventually resell is stupid. The point is to enjoy the game

Why would you want the Japanese one if it’s worth less and you can’t understand it? You are retarded

I guarantee it's my PC, I tend to buy on the cheap. I have Suikoden 2, though, with box and manual, so there's that.

Don't be, it was staged. Disc and case match the current archival copies stored at Blizzard, and at the time this occured, they had just been reburned, onto gold discs. (previously it was silver) So the 'random redditor' who had this disc was a Blizzard employee and the disc never left their possession. It was 100% a marketing stunt to drum up hype for the upcoming remaster.

Because he's a retard.

masterful bait

My holy grail, I hope I can get a cheap copy one day.

>why would you want the original version when you can have the dub

Attached: IMG_8439.jpg (1280x720, 76K)

Ok im going to stop pretending i fully understand what this is. I know the story behind the picture but why is it so important?

I own a copy of Zero The Kamikaze Squirrel

Attached: 1555556632766.jpg (3024x3024, 1.75M)

I have a couple of NES cartridges. Is the hunt for red October worth anything?

I really want that Nep Nendo.

What happened to the boxes? Why do you retards throw out your cases

Did I fuckin say that I don't have the boxes?

>I have a couple of cartridges

Yeah I should have said "I have a couple of cartridges in their boxes" like a fuckin autist.

Of just say you have some NES games

>MFW the local blockbuster closed and I coulda bought several copies of this for like $10/each

Definitely the most expensive game I own alongside a sealed Skies of Arcadia Legends

Attached: 20190413_222200.jpg (4032x3024, 3.57M)

I have all of these, and was planing to buy each figure that came out. Shame the stooped production

Attached: TF-2016-Ultimate-Source-026.jpg (1920x1280, 302K)

Just checked ebay, $850

WD put ungodly effort into presentation and hype that no other Japan-centric localizers ever tried to copy. The standard edition was usually always a bombastic collectors edition in spirit

Attached: DSC_0925.jpg (1042x1600, 221K)

People commonly refer to them as cartridges. Whatever. How much does it cost? I also have Arch Rivals and Konami Hyper Soccer.

not everyone is going to keep those fuck flimsy boxes, especially over 30 fuckin years you autist

its like keeping your Game Boy cartridge boxes, hardly anyone did that

Do you say I own PS4 discs? Or do you just say games?

Hunt for Red October is incredibly cheap, they made a million of those games

who gives a shit, goddamn

Most definitely this.

I have learned recently that the Senran Kagura Estival Versus LE was weirdly expensive for whatever reason. And I guess Dokapon Kingdom for Wii.

That and the Bloodborne guides (base game and DLC) are stupid expensive now. Dark Souls guide used to be but they reprinted it for the remaster so it's not worth anything anymore.

Attached: 220px-RuleofRose.jpg (220x311, 28K)

Get out of here Mark

Oh dear God, I didn't realize RoR is so expensive. Gladly, we have emulators today

Thankfully.

Prices are ludicrous. It's a game I have really fond memories of, though, so I like having it (and having not paid much for it). I don't know if I can ever really suggest it to people since it plays like ass.

A while ago I brought out my old Halo guide books from storage to take a look at them. I have them laminated for protection and kept in an sealed box. I had them like that just for my personal collection, as I never intended to sell them, but I did wonder what that old guides would go for. So I looked them up online, and I found guides going for literal cents. My whole collection of Halo guides could be bought with like 5 dollars, lol.

Attached: The_Official_Halo_2_Strategy_Guide.jpg (500x500, 52K)

>playing on an emulator
Yikes, I thought the casual fags would be asleep by now

>$450

Holy fuck, this thing's price has absolutely skyrocketed.

Grats on having a copy, user.

I'm seeing it for like a $100 on eBay

Ah, I only checked the Amazon listing.

What sort of a stupid dipshit would actually pay that much money for shovelware when you can just emulate it and have a graphically superior experience? The only excuse for this is if you're a collector, and even that is a questionable reason at best.

I don't see any under 100 but PAL and Japanese releases are a lot cheaper. The US releases are more expensive.

This.

>Senran Kagura Estival Versus LE
I have like 5 LE of different senran kagura games i have some kind of hunger for these i have to buy the ps4 ones to have them all idk why i like them a lot they have neat things in and maybe because the games help me to not kill myself

I sold this on Ebay for $150. Goes for $200-300

Two copies of chrono trigger, probably.

I also sold this for $145

Like over 200 bucks?

Juat buy the faceplate and buttons on ebay for 15 bucks. Thats what i did.

Idk probably this

Bunch of PS2 horror games. Kuon, Rule of Rose, Clock Tower 3, Haunting Ground, and about a dozen sealed copies of Magic Knight Rayearth for the Saturn I bought back when EB Games were trying to dump their Saturn stock shortly after the thing got discontinued. I sell a copy every now and then when I need a quick cash infusion.

Attached: 51Xf4ajL2hL._AC_.jpg (351x500, 43K)

Most horror games seem to be overvalued on the second hand market. I routinely see people trying to sell their copies of not even rare shit like Fatal Frame for more than it cost to buy them new and people actually pay it too. I don't know why but horror fans are so fucking easy to rip off in the video game world.

Panzer Dragoon Saga, US version, complete and near-mint.

Probably these two items...

You should probably sell that before the remaster comes out and tanks the value. I regret not doing it for my .hack//GU games.

sell the fuck out that shit nigga
I can't imagine having a terribly strong affinity to that franchise anyway

I mean, the value of many games that happens to may still go back up in value. Ikaruga and Radiant Silvergun gradually got back up into the hundreds after the very temporary spike downward upon their HD releases on 360. If I was OP, I'd keep the original for the hell of it; it's a collector's item for someone who really likes the game.

got a 360 with scott pilgrim on it

Yeah usually the only strategy guides that tend to be worth anything are any old Nintendo guides, and guides for RPGs. That's about it.

Does it come with the spear-head that stabbed Jesus or something?

upload that ketsui superplay bluray for me. i couldn't find it online awhile ago

My computer can't read blu-rays. Sorry, my dude.

fug

Probably something worth more than a nickel in there somewhere.

Fucking geist. Cool game but I was too dumb to beat it

>NieR: Automata Black Box Edition
I am jealous
once I start working that's gonna be one of the first things I buy if I can find it anywhere

Shadows Hearts Covenant might get you a few bucks. Not so much the other one. If you had the first Shadow Hearts you'd have something worth a pretty penny.

>musha
Nice. Also, r type 3 is pretty rare. What's the story on that one?

fuck, Lost Kingdoms is so good

God Hand, MVC2, and Black Label Silent Hill 2 are worth quite a bit.

No idea, probably just part of the usual upward spike of prices for shmups that have aged well. Was lucky enough to get mine for $20-something, several years ago.

Most expensive game I have is probably Tomba. I also have a sealed Wavebird controller and one of these Conker plushes that seem to be pretty rare.

Parents tossed my sega Saturn game collection after I moved out.

Panzer saga, Dragon Force, Shining Force/Wisdom/Ark and a number of others. So much sorrow.

I would kill, as soon as the inevitable anarchic breakdown of global society occurs.

This one is the most expensive thing I have. I genuinely loved and love AC Odyssey so I had to buy this one.

Attached: WP_20190313_17_23_33_Pro.jpg (3264x1840, 2.08M)

I could probably get $20 for this. I used to have NCAA Football 14 but I sold it to a Gamestop for $15 when I could have sold it on ebay for $100.

Other 2 most expensive things are
Nier Automata Blck Box Edition - thanks to a really nice collector I got it for like 270 bucks brand new unopened
Metro Exodus Spartan Collectors Edition

I hate that PCMRfag with my whole heart. Those fags spew how they are better, more intelligent and more knowing about HW and then this faggot does this. Even if there would be nothing useful on that HDD, still it is a rare piece of HW.

It was an honest mistake. They figured I left them behind because they were junk, rather than because they had sentimental value from being gifts from my father's friend who I now realize was some kind of proto-weeb.

Still pretty garbage though. I'm tempted to replace it all but it wouldn't be the same anyway.

It's like $50...

The MHW Rathalos PS4. I don't buy any rare stuff really

recently ordered this for £600

Attached: hr_p1supmbb-01.jpg (1767x2500, 718K)

This shit, cost me like $20 years ago, now cost like 400 on ebay.

Attached: metroidowaker.jpg (222x227, 11K)

correct me if im wrong but all this discs in the ES anthology are drm free right? I jist redeemed my keys and the box is collecting dust

That's one rare-ass Pepe.

If we're talking about the most valuable things you had, but traded in without knowing how expensive they'd later be, then Alien Soldier for the Megadrive, and a bunch of Gamecube games, including Tales of Symphonia and Fire Emblem... Still got Twin Snakes and Viewtiful Joe, though.

Amerifat here.

I run a small video game store in South Texas. Most of my inventory is stuff I collected when I was a kid. I grew up poor, so most of my games and toys growing up were old things nobody wanted anymore, and coupled with my weird tastes for a kid and boom, most of the stuff I collected was rare and became valuable.

I also have extensive repair knowledge, so I've (cheaply) purchased and subsequently refurbished many rare items from people, then either kept them or sold them for a tidy profit. Since I'm a one-man show and my overhead is low (cheap rent+utilities), my prices are super competitive with the internet. It's the only way I've survived the massive increase in competition (i.e. game over video games).

Most of my really rare stuff is either in a safe at the store or in a safe deposit box at my bank, but here are a couple of pictures of stuff in my bedroom at my apartment. It's mostly games I'm currently playing or have an interest in playing.

I've always heard The Thing game was good. Never played it though

1400€ PC

Even more. A baby blue second generation gba sp, the first new thing my parents ever purchased for me, I took very good care of it. And that SNES is in nearly perfect condition and has never been retrobrited.

Attached: 20190421_001415.jpg (4656x3492, 851K)

I got that too and a bunch of other Cave shmups and limited editions I'm never selling even if they were 10k.

laingame.net/

Almost done. I bought a broken Gale of Darkness GameCube a few years ago for a dollar, already had an ugly platinum GameCube in my inventory, so I just switched the internals out. Now it has the component port, something the Gale of Darkness gaycube came out too late to have.
It's actually pretty fun so far, but very campy. I remember wanting to play it when I was a kid, but we didn't have a PS2 so it wasn't meant to be.

Attached: 20190421_002122.jpg (4656x3492, 1.19M)

Yooooooo

I remember my dad playing this

That's some freakish amazing dedication, my dude.

I found a Reddit thread on the item and he gave it back to Blizzard: reddit.com/r/gamecollecting/comments/640iem/found_a_starcraft_gold_master_from_1998/

Why can't someone just program an exact copy? It shouldn't be too hard since it's a 2D game with basic mechanics. The A. I. would be the hardest thing to recreate exactly but you just just make a better one.

kys you fucking zoomer

>xbox gets fried last week because who knows those things do that sometimes and no it wasn't the clock
>still under warranty, so take it back to the chop shop I got it from for a different one
>feeling pretty good about myself
>soft modded new one, swapping over the old hdd
>forgot to unlock the hdd that was in the old xbox
FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK
I think I can use xboxhdm to unlock it, though. Problem is that I don't have a hdd enclosure or SATA to USB, but I ordered some cables and they'll be here in a few days.

Attached: i-am-not-a-clever-man-28074075.png (500x394, 81K)

Not that expensive (£90 on ebay) but it seems pretty rare. Picked it up from a second hand game shop years ago for £15

Attached: 64943.jpg (1320x2200, 585K)

Last stop (for now, I don't want to spam this thread too much and get banned for a week), a CECHA01 PS3. Found it complete-in-box at a flea market in town for $5, only problem was the damn thing didn't turn on.

I replaced the internal power supply with the 40gb version of the PSU, delided and repasted the GPU and CPU with thermal grizzly Kryonaut, and replaced the 60gb HDD with a 1TB SSD.

It came with everything in the box, even the official memory card reader that's worth like $50-60 on it's own. Even the controller is a pre-dualshock 3 sixaxis controller, no rumble and transparent back plastic. I love playing games on it with my Trinitron hdcrt.

I swear I play new games too, I have a $2,000 gayman rig with an rtx 2080 and a switch. Had a PS4 pro, but I sold it last month at my shop.

Attached: 20190421_002356.jpg (4656x3492, 1.01M)

You need the HDkey to make a hard drive with Xboxhdm don't you?

I think you can dig up the key using xboxxhdm and then wipe it. I don't mind wiping it, I have all the games on an external laying about. Or am I fucking mistaken and I have a goddamn paperweight on my hands?

Price has gone crazy on this one, but glad I have it.

Attached: 237432.jpg (442x450, 37K)

I need to buy the second one.

>CECHA01 PS3.
What is it

Try configmagic first.Been a bit since i've fucked with old xbox tho

probably my xbone controller signed by phil spencer. sold all of my other gaming stuff a while ago. would this thing have any value if i sold it?

Vault Boy puppet and Vault Tec lunchbox signed by Todd Howard

An NES 001. The first Nintendo DS built, valued at roughly $13,000

Attached: 1200px-NES-Console-Set.jpg (1200x652, 68K)

Fully hardware backwards compatible with PS2 games. Basically, the first American and Japanese PS3s had the CPU and GPU of a PS2 embedded onto the motherboard. This was because the PS2, like the PS3, was difficult to program for (and emulate), so they took the lazy way out and just put ps2 guts in the early ps3.

Only the American and Japanese 60 and 20 gb models are like this, they have four USB ports on the front (easiest way to tell). The European version (and 80gb USA and Japanese) only had the GPU of a PS2 internally, so it's half hardware and half software PS2 emulation (can't play about 20% of the PS2 library).

After the 80gb model, PS2 backwards compatibility (and otherOS support, and superCD playback support) was removed from PS3s to cut costs.

Sorry if that was too much info, I don't mean to keep posting fucking novels.

Also, here's my cat with her tongue out. Her name is Bits.

Attached: 20190408_191412.jpg (4656x3492, 2.83M)

I can't tell if you're referencing that episode of pawn stars (or storage wars, who cares) or if you're actually an idiot. There's no "rare version of the NES console" that's worth a ton of money. None, only the complete-in-box R.O.B. NES bundle, and even then the standalone R.O.B. is worth more because no one bought it.

Attached: 1555811328901.png (260x283, 81K)

You can just TSOP flash it if its an early enough model

I don't have that xbox anymore, it was fried. Completely kaput. HDD works just fine, but it's locked. I've looked up and down for the eeprom backup but I can't find it to save my life.

What GPU are you using if Vega is on display?

If you can access the hard drive it should have been backed up

And I was saying for your new Xbox so you don't have to bother with keys

I own a prototype of Paper Mario on the GameCube
Not sure what it’s worth

Wrong, I've seen this very model of NES-001 sell in the internet for $13,000 with only 5 games

He fucking time stamped it....

We might be the retards feeding him, and taking the bait.

what the fuck lad

I can't find the old backup and I can't access it. It's locked. If there's a way to force unlock and wipe, I'll do it. It's nice little hdd. Sites I'm finding are coming up empty, though.

Probably just the game but in a display case.

you should really get that ps3 reballed, it'll cost you a bit to ship and the $100+ labor fee but it'll live forever with proper solder. pretty sure this is the go-to site to order ps3specialist.com/reballing-services/

post more pics brother hh

I'm saying hook the hard drive up to a PC. They have programs to read Xfat.

RTX 2080Ti. I was gonna buy a Titan RTX but the thing is absurdly overpriced given it's only marginally better than the 2080 Ti.

Uh, yeah buddy. I'm looking at sold eBay listings right now and I'm seeing $15-30 USD for the "NES-001". Maybe some absolute retard balled out on one thinking it was super rare a few years ago, like those morons with their "black diamond disney vhs tapes", but in the real world they ain't worth shit. I get dumb-dumbs like you all the time in my shop.

If that picture is real it's worth a fuckload. I sold a GameCube service disc v1.0/03 and a 100% complete Pokemon Box for $1,700 together to a private collector, and neither of those fuckers are even actual games.

I've never even seen one of those demo discs in person, so if you have one you'd be the ultimate bro if you sold it to someone who can post the rom online.

Believe it or not that actually doesn't do anything, it's a placebo. The reality is that the internal thermometer for the PS3 is stupidly tied to the CPU and not the GPU, even though the GPU gets much hotter. This means the fan doesn't ramp up speed until the CPU gets hot enough (again, really poor design). Lead solder needs to reach upwards of 400C to melt, and the internal NVIDIA GPU dies long before it ever reaches that temperature. In truth, the ylod is caused by an GPU that is killed by heat.

Damn things will be out of stock soon. Wish they made some of the other classes as models. Got her for 40 from some hobby store owner in like Georgia or some shit, the fuckers go for at least 80 currently, and there arent many left. To me, she's beyond value, and reminds me of the good ole days when Sega made video games.

I smile like a faggot every time I look at her, and sometimes it really keeps me going.

N64 pikachu edition

Why is it rare, is it because it commits an US federal crime with the cover art or something?

I have the MHW ps4 pro but the disc feed is kinda jank and is slipping when ejecting/inserting discs. Don't even go out of my way to collect that kind of shit, just found one used at fucking gamestop for normal used ps4 pro price and scooped that shit up.

2080 Ti is to the 2070 as the TITAN is to the 2080 Ti. You were already spending way too much fucking money for the slight extra bit of performance.

Baited HARD

youtube.com/watch?v=95eUhuR8_ps

Holy shit

God that is painful to watch

Yeah
Parts are coming. We'll see what we can see.

Not really a bait if I literally called it out a while back. I just think it's funny because this fucking clip has actually negatively impacted my business. I genuinely get people every week who think their NES is worth 15,000 dollhairs and get assblasted when I tell them I'm not interested.

The Titan is literally $1,200 more than the 2080ti for 3-8 more fps. The 2080 Ti vs the 2070 is another story, upwards of +20fps difference for $500, not exactly a good value either but not a fucking $1200 difference for 3-8 more fps.

who the fuck dumbs this much money on an unknown hardware

no it won't its still a collectors item. I mean emulation is a thing too, that didn't affect its value.

I sold most of my rare vidya stuff. Used to own Twin snakes, and God Hand.

Please upload a video of this if you're still here user, I love weird beta/prototype vidya shit like this.

Attached: 1477612928807.jpg (3264x2448, 2.07M)

How much does Twin Snakes go for these days?
I bought a copy for $35 a few years back.

Sometimes I think Yea Forums having autism is a meme but then I see posts like this.

>emulation is a thing too

There's no (working) Xbox emulator. That's also why people are so salty about It's possible it could have helped

>prototype
Its just the in-store demo disc for ttyd before it had a title. You can find them on ebay. That one goes for around 80 sealed

Zero because I pirate

hey bro I actually live in South Texas
What city you in or what's the name of your place?

yeah now that you mention it, looking back on it the timing does seem incredibly sus

Most expensive gaming thing i ever owned was Futurama

Seconding this.

PAL Sonic Wings Special for PS1. Seems like it's worth about $150 US.

figma of your imagination

There's sparse copies avaliable in the UK after it's banned got lifted, I worked in CEX for 2 months last year and I saw it on the shelf the first day I arrived

I own a copy of rule of rose
when I bought it for $100 I thought I was overpaying because it was only double that and it's just a video game
now it's 4 times that and increasing, and I only bought it 2 years ago

No idea about Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim, since all I did was redeem the code that gives you all the games and DLC on Steam, but Arena and Daggerfall are the actual games with DOSBox included.

The Wind Waker Edition Wii U.
I thought nothing of it but then I heard the tablet is actually quite expensive.
When did that happen?

>the LoTR RTS PC game is with $300+ now
>I have two boxes
Shame I can't remember the name cause i'm so fucking drunk

Surely the ISO isn't hard to find. I still have a PS2 with a FlipTop

Are modern games rare now or will they ever be rare?
Most have millions of copies printed and available digitally. I guess some limited editions would be the only rare games.

Gravity Rush Remastered is pretty rare and that's a relatively new game. There are limited runs still but it depends if anyone gives a shit about the game

this gun used to be worth about the same price
now the game is worth more than the gun
limited run games are just about it honestly
ps3 and 360 have a few games but very few are bordering or above $50

Attached: now they're worth the same.jpg (1932x2576, 416K)

Battle for Middle Earth

Tfw you bought a standard WiiU instead of The special Wind Waker edition console because it didn't come with physical copy of Wind Waker HD

Some Vita games are worth a shit load

Many thought Katamari Reroll and Bendy and the Ink Machine were rare since they were GameStop exclusives and sold out day one. They were going for $50+ after.
Took a few months but they're restocked and haven't sold out since. Now Bendy is no longer GS exclusive, but I've only seen two or three copies between as many Walmarts.

Yeah, it's a shame it's so rare because it's actually fun as fuck. Not sure why they haven't rereleased it at this point.

this, bought it 10 years ago for 20€

Attached: Screenshot_2019-04-21-10-44-54.jpg (1080x2160, 557K)

you'd have to be lucky to get a game or something related with low quantities of sales and wait for at least some decades, AND be lucky that the game (or it's franchise) is still relevant for collectors

You can get them for free from GOG when you buy a Bethesda game title. Alternatively, I believe Todd gives them away as a free download providing you promise to buy Skyrim Limited edition

Thats super dope
There is a local mom and pop shop near me that i go to exclusively for games
Its more expensive but supporting local business and the friendship from the people there is worth more than the 5 or so bucks i would save if i go to a chain
