Are there any Switch owners on Yea Forums that actually dislike Yuzu or is it all just false flagging?

i'd actually like to see xenoblade 2 running at 1440p@60fps, i think 720p on dock mode doesn't make justice for the game, i cant literally play on portable mode with such low resolution, they should at least disable the horrible TAA they implemented in portable mode, the game becomes a mess of pixels and blur at 360p which is the lowest the dynamic resolution can drop to
hopefully the new switch can keep the game all the time at 720p and even MAYBE they release an upgrade patch to make it run at 1080p

I bought Xenoblade 2 on Switch but my god the framedrops really shit on the experience, so maybe Yuzu will fix that for everyone else wanting to play it.

i honestly didn't bother with all the free dlcs and shit, i've trying to get back to torna but man part of the reason i keep dropping it is the horrible performance and resolutions, i honestly don't remember having this problem with XCX... except that one had horrible popping and loading screens instead

Don't get your hopes up too high. The rumors haven't gone anywhere since last year, and Nintendo may decide to release a cheaper version of the Switch instead of a better one.
Xenoblade definitely could run better, but it's not likely that we will have any options in the near future.

the most recent report from nikkei says basically the same wall street journal is been saying, cheaper version comes out first around summer, better version comes out later this year or Q1 2020, it will happen since nintendo needs to close the gap between switch and next gen systems, running the game on new hardware will see an immediate fix for things like framerate and dynamic resolution locked at 720p with still room for improvement through a patch, which is the part i don't ever see happening, i think the team moved long ago to the new project, unless nintendo explicitly demands for upgrade patches for old games like BOTW, SMO and XC2

But what does Yuzu run consistently well outside of a click-baiting Youtuber's $1000+ rig that somehow always forgets to mention specs and games downright needing a savefile to launch.

it can only run Odyssey with some graphical glitches, anything besides that is either unplayable garbage or doesn't even boot, its the same scenario as CEMU, only runs well the game PC patrons care about

Give it a couple of years and MAYBE it'll get on Dolphin's level of compatibility. But as of right now it is just an Odyssey emulation software.

it took many years for dolphin to run basically any Wii/GC game with no compromises, look at CEMU, its been on development for as long as BOTW exists and it can run well a handful of games, i've been playing twilight princess HD on it and it still has some graphical glitches and locked 30FPS, tho to be fair i think TP has framerate tied to physics

There are a lot of issues with new hardware, and depending on where they go with it I think you could have a lot of trade offs. Hopefully we're able to keep our current docks, since they do cost quite a bit to replace.
Regardless, you'll be waiting a while for hardware improvements, and I don't really know if they will patch 2017 games for higher resolution
Dolphin is a league ahead of Cemu and Yuzu, since it has had a lot of time to do so. At least Yuzu is open-source, but even with community interest it will takes a long time to get the switch library playable, and I don't know if it will ever be flawless.

I have been using emulation since I was a child so there really isn't a problem with Yuzu being developed so early in the consoles lifespan as long as it doesn't get popular and good enough to the point where it hurts the console's and games' performance. I'm more disappointed in Nintendo for building the Switch in a way that let emulation happen so quickly.

as long as they keep the ARM CPUs the swich uses, there's not problem, the upgrade will be on the GPU side mostly, going from Maxwell arquitecture to probably Pascal, which is more power efficient
the docks will be perfectly fine as they dont really have much going inside, just a propietary board with some fucked up energy rules nintendo came with

Going from Maxwell to Pascal isn't going to cover the load difference from 720p to 1080p, unless they crank up the power quite a bit.

Paperclip is viable for old switches, but if your switch is new you probably can't hack it at all. If you're on new firmware on a new switch, all you can do is block upadates and wait in the hopes that you can get lucky. Not being able to use online is par for the course with CFW.

if it was CFW that ran perfect roms I'd care. I own both gamecube and wii U and dolphine has never crossed my mind except to play Fire emblem because fuck those jewtendo collector bullshit prices.

however, I will say that I have used dolphine to apply cheat codes of my wii games and then transferred the save back onto my wii U before. If switch gets CFW with save editing/backups/transfers and Yuzu becomes a switch clone then maybe Ill tinker with it.

One Yuzu gets better I'll probably start using it. Especially for mods. For now the Switch itself is still good enough.
