MORTAL KOMBAT

I can see Crono as a DLC fighter. That or a dragon quest character.

Either him or that block from Adventure. Kind surprised I never see Atari mentioned much in these threads.

Debatable
Correct, Sonic is huge

>Master Chief
>literal-who
Not a Halo-in-smash guy myself, but you can't be serious.

Why do you keep pushing this Doomguy meme, as if anyone knows who your literal who space marine is?

Attached: Doom is garbage.png (1166x612, 74K)

Glad we agree Steve is not iconic.

>Doomguy is Literal Who and Crash is Debatable but Miku is Iconic
This is fuckin bait right?

Where does my post mention Doomguy you bainlet?

>Erdrick
You mean Slime?

>Not a Halo-in-smash guy myself, but you can't be serious.
Maybe 14 years ago, at the launch of the Xbox360 and Halo 3, but nowadays? He's not that relevant anymore.

See the Google Chart, Also the Japanese Government gave Hatsune Miku's creator a Rare award that's only been given out 26 times in the last 150 years, due to how iconic Miku was. Not even Nintendo themselves have recieved such an honor. She is factually more iconic then every Video game character

If they aren't in pic related, they aren't in.

>uses the 1993 Version of the game instead of the game series like everyone else.
Imagine using google trends in your argument

>This is fuckin bait right?
How is it bait? Doom 3 was not a real Doom game, which means the last real Doom games were in the early 90's, i.e. more than 20 years ago. Most gamers today were born after the release of those games. Which means that before Doom 2016, Doomguy was essentially absent for several decades. That's not how you build up an iconic character.

actually based

>they think Loto is iconic
Slime is iconic. Aint no one in the west has ever heard of "Erdrick".

Attached: 1554788929665.png (239x254, 130K)

The result is still the same & Cope more, Doom stopped being relevant 20 years ago

Attached: Doom is irrelevant.png (1903x611, 48K)

>Steve, the main character of the best sold game of all time
>literally who

I wish Smash was more selective in what characters they allowed in. There's way too many anime swordsmen or otherwise generic characters.

Nice shoop tabbender.

>Mojojojo that Mojojolow
A crime

Literally was called the grandfather of FPS, and the fps games released during the time was called Doom Clones. But ok, go off I guess.

Sorry but dirt block is more recognisable.

People know who Steve is dumbass. More so than Hatsune Miku. And I’m not even a Stevefag. Japan isn’t the only place in the world

Game popularity is irrelevant to the amount of people who actually remember, like & identify with a individual character. Steve on his own is a literal who

Means nothing grandpa, anyone born after 1993 doesn't give a single fuck about Doom
In the gaming industry Japan is the only relevant country, since they are the ones solely in charge of making Smash Bros. The fact that Doom is so irrelevant in Japan, proves that your literal who character is not iconic in the slightest

>Showed 2004 through 2014 where Doom didn't have a new game.
Ok, cool. Imma stop giving (you) after this

No he fucking isn’t. If you show anyone who has played Minecraft (which is a lot of people) Steve, they’ll almost 100% know what his name is and what he represents. Game popularity is what makes a game character popular retard

>randomly assuming I give a shit about Doom man

Attached: DB438A0C-6CE7-4B9E-B862-C00D707DD3E0.jpg (431x403, 30K)

What did he mean by this?

Neither did Cloud Strife
> Best Character Ever Contest Finale (159,000 Voters) (2006)
> 1st: Link (Twilight Princess) (43,000 Votes)
> 2nd: Cloud (Final Fantasy VII) (37,000 Votes)
> 3rd: Sephiroth (Final Fantasy VII) (26,000 Votes)
> 4th: Solid Snake (Metal Gear Solid 3) (20,000 Votes)
> 5th: Mario (Super Mario Sunshine) (18,000 Votes)
> 6th: Samus Aran (Metroid Prime 2) (12,000 Votes)

Reminder that Google Trends is fucking ass

>Touhou Project is more searched in Japn than Doom is
OH WOWWWWW TABBENDER YOU SURE SHOWED THE DOOMFAGS.

We already have a gay looking gun guy as DLC, I think you’re out of luck

Define iconic.

If we’re talking about characters normies might recognized if you just walked around a mall and quizzed people:

Master chief, Lara Croft, angry birds, Scorpion and Subzero, and throw in a few Mario enemies and some of the orginal 151 Pokémon

Iconic among actual gamers, basically the ones you'd see at the top of a best characters list

You can say the same about Sonic, Simon and Solid Snake.

Low Effort Bait, continue coping Doombabby

Attached: 2001-2019 Best Game Polls.jpg (2553x1735, 3.32M)

Thing is he isn’t even a “character”, just the default skin for generic player avatars. Minecraft would work for a stage or Steve as an AT, but him as a Fighter is just a stretch for many reasons

Attached: jump-force-master-chief-mod.jpg.optimal.jpg (1080x600, 124K)

This, literally the only Western gaming character that isn't a literal who

Reminder that Hatsune Miku got to go on David Letterman and had a commercial with Scarlett Johansson

Spyro, Lara Croft just off the top of my head. Geralt more recently

Iconic characters don't allow their franchises to be Commercial Failures, Lara Croft is a literal who now. Geralt & Spyro are debatable

>Geralt more recently
He's from literature.

Real talk, is Miku the most slept-on popular pick?

It feels like the perfect pick to throw everyone off their guard, that and she brings in something really unique for the franchise, a possible music-based/rhythm moveset.

Doesn’t mean Lara isnt iconic. There’s plenty of “Normies” who recognize her and Scorpion

Miku is not vidya.

didnt you saw the japan and usain the region options?

She's software, about as valid as ROB.

Please tell me you aren't actually stupid enough to think.

ROB only made it in because this is a Nintendo crossover.
He's also fucking hardware.
