I just wanted to know why those statistics meant anything. Obviously people who play sequels to games are going to have had interest in the franchise beforehand. Even comparing them to the first entries of other VN's just shows similar numbers so the statistics are not giving us any information aside from a general idea of what people finish VN's which is pretty worthless and irrelevant. My first playthrough in DR1, I was pretty clueless on who killed Chihiro.

Toko was an obvious misdirection by Byakuya and I was not convinced in the least that Byakuya would make it so obvious that it was him. So for that entire case I was just fucking clueless on who it could be.

Funnily enough I did notice that Mondo called Chihiro "dude" when you talk to him but I just took it as a translation quirk rather than a real plot point. That's what you get for thinking too meta I suppose.

Naegi is a weakling when it comes to his physical prowess, Junko lets others do the fighting for her and if you ask me it wouldn't make much sense to add a character from a later game than DR1.
