I'm probably not going to get it. I no longer trust Bungie to deliver on anything. They're unable or unwilling to address long-standing complaints in anything resembling a timely fashion, and every season has less stuff to do and more eververse crap.
A self-published D3 is going to be so full to the brim with microtransactions, to the detriment of actual content, that I just don't think I'll be able to care.

Season of Opulence will pretty much be make or break for me. My guess is it'll end up with a really short raid with half a loot pool, and a timed horde mode activity that's a little hard at first because you get oneshotted by everything, and then so trivially easy after you level up that no one bothers with it anymore, exactly like he last two seasons.
get rid of crucible, they've never been able to balance it properly (like the majority of the rest of the game)
the dreaming city was a big step in the right direction, I'd like to see all location be this detailed, have that many activities and a dungeon
more mechanics rich strikes, the step up from strikes to raids is huge, puts a lot of people off and is the reason you can't have raid matchmaking

I don't understand what Bungie wants swords to be. They currently fill absolutely no unique niche and if anything you are actively punished for using them.

Roadmaps are just an excuse to start working on the next game while providing minimal content for the current one, keeping people excited the game they already bought may be good some day. Or maybe another $60 poured down the line.
A lot of the people/friends I knew who played Destiny have just moved on to Warframe by now.

yes, they nerfed the shit out of all shotgun rates of fire but that doesn't matter when the maps all have massive areas that are just hallways with sharp corners and every shotgun type is a oneshot kill

not sure how they're going to have any content for D3 release. D1 had 4-5 years of assets to fall back on and felt empty, D2 had 1000 devs and felt like it only had a moderate amount of content. Unless they rework a bunch of D1 and D2 content D3 is going to be the most barebones launch yet
They need to rework their server stuff too, freeroam feels so fucking empty at times, not to mention pointless, they pour so much time in making maps that you spend 2-3mins in max when you need planet resources or are zooming past to get to a lost sector
