chao garden is cool
Yes. And you had to pay for it on Xbox360.
Yea Forums if you love Sonic Adventure 2 so much why don't you just marry it.
Cause I'm already married to justice
57th and 29th best game ever, classicfag.
> 3 sonic stages 20 Knuckles, rouge and robotinik stages
> one of the best games made
I remember the first time I saw that video of eggman blowing up the moon. I cringed. Like, I physically cringed at how stupid it was. I was absolutely disgusted that they tried to make a game about a blue hedgehog fighting a fat man into this retarded serious independence day bullshit. Also when Eggman pointed a gun at Amy and threatened to literally kill her... yikes.
I liked it at first, but eventually I just played through it solely to get stuff for the Chao garden.
Imo, it didn't stop Mario doing the same kind of thing in Galaxy. They nuked the damn universe in that one.
But SA2B is indeed horrible... ly aged. It's fine as a early 2000s game. Not so much today with better standards, that SEGA never got better at themselves.
>When Colors, Generations, Lost World, Boom AND even Forces is better in Japan than SA2
Y I K E S
true
yep
Knuckles and Rouge stages ruin the game.
>When the list was created by the readers of Famistu, not the critics, making it a list much better representative of the opinions of the Japanese gaming populace
Also, eat my ass.
kek
Lost World 36/40
Jesus Christ.
Psht
only a blind girl would marry you
Why was there no consequence for blowing up the moon? Future games don't even recognize it.
>Horrible game
Suck my dick its the best 3D sonic game to ever exist you cretin. Admittedly slim pickins, but fuck you it was great.
Yeah, Tails, Robotinik, Rouge and Knuckles stages are great, and that's like 70% of the game.
lol
So? It just means none of that is accurate on both accounts, since the average seem to prefer SA2, but everyone else prefers SA1, or the classic games, mainly in the states, which has a 10 to 1 ratio of people to compare to Japan.
Which also doesn't factor in Europe's say either.
Not him, but There's 6 sonic stages though, 7 if you count cannons core
And there's still 6 outright great mech/treasure stages, and most of them, while not particularly good, aren't bad either.
>Knuckles and Rouge stages ruin the game.
No they don't, see above.
SA2 has aged better then SM64
>Robotinik
And Tails suck dick, get fucked. Eggman is just inferior Gamma too.
SA1 was more fun than super mario 64, rayman 2, and jak and daxter.
>SA2 has aged better then SM64
Nice boogeymen, wtf does that matter? Sunshine should be what you're comparing to, not a 1996 game to 2001.
>rayman 2
Yikes and bluepilled
LOST COLONY SUCKS
IT'S A SHIT LEVEL
It's worse than every one of those
>SA2 has aged better then SM64
There's a lot of tedious stuff in rayman 2.
That's because you're a brainlet at kino collect-a-thons
> Eggman
You mean Robotinik
> No they don't, see above.
R/K stages are a really bad designed mario/Banjo Kazooie stage with no sense of flow.
Robotinik/tails stages are a dumbed down third person shooter, worse than Gamma.
it's way faster.
>miss a lum
>better jump into the lava again
>Being bad at games
>games are only good if they go SANIC SPEED
Autism
it's funnier with context, but it is a bit surprising that the thread hasn't referenced it much
>being bad at games
The punch steering isn't intuitive.
His name is Eggman. Calling him Robotnik is like calling Peach Toadstool, or like calling Bowser King Koopa
>The punch steering isn't intuitive.
>The punch
>punch
>In Rayman 2
>You mean Robotinik
>punch
what do you call it?
>Colorsfag getting overwhelmed by powerful story scenes.
KEK
>Sonic 2006 is almost as good as Sonic Mania
He shoots energy balls in Rayman 2 due to technical limitations.
This is why no one listens to Japan for taste. The west loves it, the east and weebs like SA2B.
>SA2 has aged better then SM64
absolute fucking brainlet
He's too edgy though.
youtube.com
it's up. hopefully it's as good as the adventure ones
Except that doesn't matter because people consider SM64 one of the best games of all times. It's age shouldn't matte,r if SM64 can be considered a amazing game then so shoulld sa2
It has though
>better visuals
>movement being too senstive is less shit then movement being not sensttive enough/unresponsive, since the former becomes an asset with mastery
>less shit camera
see also pic
*releases in the US first*
Yes Robotnik
>American fan made manual
>Verses in game text made by Japan
Cringe.
>American fan made manual
>Canon
Double Cringe.
>caring about Sonic canon and lore
Mega cringe
People actually thing 64 aged better? It looks like shit and the level-design is a mess. Sonic Adventure 2 is leagues above it.
>Except that doesn't matter because people consider SM64 one of the best games of all times
Same thing is said for SMB1. That's really a contender for what matters here, it's fairer to compare the years closest to each other, which should be Sunshine. Although Heroes is even closer to that so yeah.
It has a great level design.
Mario's moviment is so fluid and responsive that it's a standard until today, and the camera is pretty good, actually.
>That's *not really a contender for what matters here,
Low IQ
It's good.
Fuck e-celebs
It got better.
>It has a great level design.
No it doesn't, and it became more noticeable as the years went on. People just say it's good because of nostalgia and because it's Mario and Nintendo.
Mario's movements can't save the atrocious and boring level-design. And his movements were nothing spectacular either.
>Iizuka's alzeimers mind proclaimed we've seen the "good side of the moon" ever since SA2
>nevermind that the ARK has never shown up again since Shadow, Generations bosses aside, and somehow no one has noticed a space colony or a second moon in the atmosphere
You know how I can tell you're underaged and get all your opinions from e-celebs off Youtube?
So Adventure 2 is not canon?
Sonic Adventure 2 has a good story, maybe even a great one.
Less that it's not canon and more that Iizuka and the team literally do whatever they want, whenever they want, however they want, but awkwardly handle it. Mario doesn't really have continuity so it can do whatever it wants, but Sonic had a few years of consistent continuity and now it's been a mess every since then because everything was tossed to the wayside and contradicts eachother due to different eras of fan expectations.
Keep in mind Iizuka also says whatever the fuck he feels like to bullshit answers to questions he wasn't expecting, hence the Two Worlds shit.
The two worlds shit doesn't make any sense. Or Generations itself makes no sense.
Wanna know how I know you're just a faggot who pretends to like whatever the trendy game on Yea Forums is? Nigger I bet you don't even own a dreamcast
Actually, Zoomer, I do own a Dreamcast. Have both Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 for it. I don't touch the inferior Gamecube ports.
Post it with a timestamp faggot.
Shadow, you can't just call every detractor or SA2 a classicfag. I'm one myself but I'm ok with the game I guess.
>it's not official if i don't like it
>atrocious and boring level-design
Jolly Roger Bay, Big Boo's Haunt, Hazy Maze Cave, the water world, and Rainbow Road weren't very good, but the rest were fine if not very good.
>his movements were nothing spectacular either.
They were, you had full control at every point and perfect precision with any skill.
Still waiting
I thought it sucked until I played it all the way through for the first time last year, now I like it.
At time of release I couldn't get over it being "Not My Sonic".
The Sonic levels suck but the rest of it is great.
has a bit of a slow start but it gets good later on
shadow, eggman, and mephiles fucking carry this shit just like the last ones
>06 is 29/40
>Black Knight 26
>Lost World 36
>Forces 35
Thanks for letting me know that Famitsu readers are all fucking retarded and to ignore their opinions on quality.
Every character in Adventure 1 and 2 controls better than Mario 64
>Every character
>Big
>Mech Tails and Eggman
Nope.
but mechs control great. what are you talking about
>Big
Ok you got me there
>Mechs
They're fine? I've never had any issues with them, and I find it hard to believe anybody does.
So I tried replaying SA2 and honestly it’s pretty fucking awful. Guess I had shit tastes as a kid
snapcube is the only tranny i can watch without wanting to kill myself
Don't blame him for coming up with a stupid answer to an even more stupid and autistic question. It's just the kind of answer any nigger who cares about sonic canon or lore deserves.
SA2 is pretty great. It built off of Adventure 1's structure and polished it up a bunch, leading to a well playing game that trimmed the fat like the shitty Big and Amy levels. Unfortunately treasure hunting got worse in the transition, due to making Knuckles play slower and messing up the emerald radar. This makes the Knuckles and Rouge stages the low point of the game other than maybe the experimental Kart levels. The camera can be a bother, but around this era 3D games were still struggling heavily with their cameras so it's a bit forgivable if you keep that in mind. I wish the later rereleases had put in some more effort in trying to fix the more obvious flaws but they were pretty much just straight ports.
There's a bunch of replay value in the different emblem missions with each level having a hard mode version even, which is great. Stages also tend to have some hidden content to them like hidden unlockable equipment you can make use of for the alternate missions or ease of play, which is pretty interesting. Not to mention that even the required equips to beat the game make going back through older stages fun sometimes, as they're designed with stuff to take advantage of from your new abilities despite not being needed to beat them the first time. The optional content in the Chao Garden is fun to play around with if you like that sort of thing and completely ignorable if you don't care for it.
As for the "cringe", it's the only Sonic game to actually nail the sort of tone the modern games pre-Unleashed were trying to aim for, I have no idea why things went so wrong afterwards. I would say lightning in a bottle but Adventure 1 was almost there too. If you can't take a story seriously just because it features animal creatures that says more about you than it does the media you're complaining about.
there was a third Sonic Boom game? and it was actually good? damn i had no idea.
kek
It's the most "decent" out of them I think, but that's still a very low bar of "decent"
But white people legit care about the stories in Sonic.
