heh wanted to playthrough the new one but my ancient gpu probably didn't support something so all i got after menu was black screen with only sound and hud things visible.
but hey at least the menus worked

I personally enjoyed the new game
Pros:
>looks stunning
>great tombs / overall world
>great new tribe

Cons:
>terrible story
>terrible talent trees
>too much ressource gathering
>not enough enemies variety
>a lot pf bullshit (ie: falling to your death on a jump Lara clearly made but you're not supposed to go there)
>you get a machine gun very early and it's by far the best weapon

Good post I'm not playing it for anything other than the tombs worlds and graphics since it's the prettiest game I've seen legit looks better than spirits within (final fantasy) even without rtx shadows the taa and graphics engine/pipeline are very forward looking and runs like a dream
Meanwhile odessy looks like a blurry low texture res mess and runs at half the fps but I'm a suxker for Greek mythology and its decent

Yeah it's just a shame because with better story/quests I feel this game could have been a legit 9/10
I also wish there were more wildlife encounters, like I dunno giant boas, crocodiles. Even better if there were some magic element in the storyline, it would be awesome to explore tombs filled with giant spiders and whatnot.

Yeah I hated the fact it hoods you hand too much while solving exploring tombs it's all still too linear.
I wish it didn't flop because it deserved better and will probably be a modern classic like the originals down the line.

It's fun to play, story and characters are absolutely trash. It looks amazing too and has a photo mode. There's also a nude mod out now on pc.

All things found in no Uncharted game ever. And to begin with, Uncharted is nothing but a pretty ripoff of Tomb Raider Legend with cover based shooting. So at worst, Crystal dynamics took some small bits from a game that ripped off their own work, and then made somethimg better out of it, while still maintaining their own style.

Rise is the kind of game that is boring as shit, but people don't realize this because they're entirely focused on Lara's ass. I speak entirely from experience. Best boy Jacob is The Prophet (Jesus guy) and he's been immortal living with his tribe that followed him out of Syria to protect the Divine Source. He did "die" but dying when you're imbued with the Divine Source basically just causes you to respawn which is why the reports list him as having died and resurrected. Kitezh is home to his former soldiers who looked upon the Divine Source so they could protect Kitezh from the Mongols I think and now kill anyone who goes after it. Jonah was actually following Lara the whole time and Jacob's people ended up saving him from dying on the mountain. Jonah gets captured and shot, Jacob ends up healing him, and then Lara goes to find the Divine Source. Constantin isn't "blessed by God" and his stigmatic wounds are because Ana decided it would be fun to trick him when he was younger so he would be dogmatic and loyal to the cause of Trinity. Lara attacks Kitezh, Constantin fights you in a giant helicopter which you destroy, then you have a fight with him which has him tell you he was the one who killed Lord Croft at which point you can personally kill him or walk away. Ana looks upon the Divine Source but Lara destroys it before she can become healed and immortal. Jacob ends up saving Lara and then thanking her for destroying the Divine Source before passing on peacefully. Both Lara and Ana end up outside of Kitezh, Ana gets sniped by Trinity's men but they let Lara go.

There's a quicktime right at the end of the Constantin fight but it's mainly you trying to stealth attack him three times while they destroy more of the environment each time you succeed. The helicopter fight is waiting for Sofia to lob mortars over the helicopter and shooting them while fending of the Kitezh soldiers and Trinity's men.

The last areas were okay but nothing too special. Kitezh itself is pretty huge but personally I thought it was kind of dull and really enjoyed the samurais way more compared to these guys since they're bullet sponges. The actual ending is alright, the fight is okay but nothing too crazy, and honestly the best part of it all is Jacob's stuff in the ending more than anything but I'm bias because I really enjoyed his character. Dude was the friendliest guy for someone who has spent roughly several hundred years if not more protecting something in a small area and watching countless people he cares for die. Hell, dude's still as devout to God as he was when he was in Syria which is simply amazing considering all he went through. You'd think he'd be jaded or something after all this time.
