HIT ME
Why the fuck would I pre-order this shit when I can get a key on a grey market site for 9.99?
crack when?
Ok I'll wait here while you do that.
CODEX
it's here, you poor fuck
ubisoft.com
it is not on steam so i will wait for crack
typical steamdrone imbecyle.
Time to sum up what this thread will be
>muh epic store
>crack when
>cities: skylines faggots not playing the game properly and then complaining about it
>the no crosses on the church autist might even make an appearance
Anno threads have been fucked since launch.
do i need to play anno 1 through 1799?
Fuck you, im another user, but i'll never trust chink shit. NEVER.
btw didnt have even steam installed now.
>uplay
just as bad as epic if not worse
i
i do not pre order games anymore
> City builder.
> Cities are all generic blocks
Show me all cute ai girls
Yes it's the only way you'll understand the story.
>just as bad as epic if not worse
idiot
it's not a strict city-builder, it's not meant to do what things like simcity or c:s do. there's a bunch of other stuff going on. the fact that people keep labeling it a "city-builder" doesn't mean you have to judge it by those games.
I mean people call Stronghold an "rts" but if you compare it purely on formations/tactics/etc. you'd think it was a shitty game
Anno games are supply chain simulators
>game runs ok but with big framerate drops, noticeable when moving the camera around
>have great system but try multiple graphics options, only very low runs smooth
>gets a bizzare tip, run it with steam in offline mode
>try it
>game now runs smooth
What the flying fuck. Try it out if you've got problems bros
*gives you money and says something extremely polite*
At its core, its a city builder, you get residents, you get industry, you get commerce and have to balance the three to stay in the black while making things look as pretty as you want it. Anno mostly just makes the player micromanage the supply and shipping chain instead of just plopping down zones.
Same thing happens when you shut down online connectivity with Uplay.
The netcode for 1800 is fucked.
Why can't I deliver this shit?
TLDR: the Chinese love Anno 1800 and are very impressed with the characters and how they interact with the player, but are puzzled as to why the Chinese representative is the only character not worthy of having a name.
Try using your flagship
I run it fine with the online mode on, as long as steam remains in offline mode. Has to be some issue with the steam API
Hmm good idea.
>old world fight club
that's baby shit
So why not just buy it from Uplay? You are gonna have to use it anyways to get the game working, that's what I don't understand about all you desperate anons.
Saludos from the new world Yea Forums!
>Early game, Gasparov gives you 13,000 gold for trivial shit like taking a photo of his lighthouse
This lad is nuts
What is Qing then if not a name? Dumb gooks.
It did confuse me the first time because her name would translate to simply "princess of Qing" but Victoria is simply "the queen" so I guess no one explained it to that guy (it would take a long time to explain why a French developer would censor their game without the government telling them to do so first).
>gridshit
look at this poor fag and laugh
So is it worth taking a tiny island next to the edge that goes to the New World as a staging port for trade between the two regions? I'd rather dump stuff off right next to the edge and turn the ships around than have them go across the whole region to get to my main base.
A whole dynasty that got fucked up in 1800s. I would love the see an expansion where you can go to the orient and choose to either help the native empire modernize or give them drugs.
it keeps it safe from pirates and war, so I like the strat
Its dammed if you do, dammed if you don't.
Steam is fucked because its not sold anymore and has steam api on top of uplay netcode bogging down performance.
Epic is fucked because its the same as steam for performance and you're randy pitchford's bitch.
Uplay is fucked because you're giving the Frenchie publisher the biggest cut and still getting performance drops due to Uplay being shit at netcode.
>$60
>Likely cut down trash that'll be milked for dlc
Pass. Sale or crack.
Casuals are overloading the servers rn, give it a week.
I know I'm going to be in the vast minority here, but I miss the massive landmasses of 2205. I know Annos trademark is islands, but fuck if it isnt annoying as hell when it comes to fertility and warring AIs. I just want to build the biggest most complex city I can but so much of it is hindered due to the landmass sizes and bullshit politics.
what fucking website is selling anno 1800 for 10 bucks already? There's literally no way, even with theft that anyone would sell that low.
I wouldn't call the base game cut down but its a fucking Anno game from fucking Ubisoft so of course its gonna sell DLC, for mostly useless content.
I WANT TO FUCK MY SISTER HANNAH
b-bros... what do I do, this secret ending is too much, I can't choose who should bear my rich children
Yeah, that was also my thought. I still need to make a secure line between my home port and this satellite, but I think I'll give it a try.

It was a nice week while it lasted. Hope you're enjoying the game, fellow Annons.
Will it ever be sold on Steam again? Hadn't really been following so I assumed the Epic exclusivity was only for the first year like other games. However, when I looked it up it reads like it's forever.
Otherwise, how long do you guys think it will be before a price drop on Uplay? I am not sure I want to spend $70 right now if I have to download another launcher anyway.

Welcome to weekends on Yea Forums. Summer's on approach too and that's when things really get magical.
Dumbass, nobody will fall for that
Yea Forums is endless summer.
why do you waste your time shitposting, you fucking retard?
Someone mentioned something about 1-year exclusivity but I was not able to verify this.
played the Beta. It's a good game but not worth 60€
wtf is this, the piece of shit game collection?
>Seething public tracker nigger
lmafo
Everyone assumes it is a one-year exclusivity deal as that is the case with metro exodus. In the case of The Division II and Anno 1800 it really is just a "fuck steam"-deal as it is still being sold on uplay. Hell, even if you were to buy those games on egs you still need to install uplay and make an account there. Then there's that one xcom-like game which has a similar deal, where one of the devs shed some more light into the whole deal, such as "guaranteed sales numbers" meaning they can claim they sold x amount of copies as they received the money for x copies sold. The amount is so high, even if the devs were to refund all copies actually sold they would still be in the plus. So yeah, Epic is investing a massive amount of money to establish exclusive egs games to dethrone steam and become the new monopoly.
>Battleborn
>No Man's Sky
>Mighty No. 9
>Bad
I'll give you Evolve and Spore but those game are legit.
dumbass, all cracking teams publicly announce whenever they crack any game
Thanks for testing the game for me.
Unlike Exodus, Anno 1800 was nuked altogether from steam and there is no public notice saying it'll be available one year later. So, doesn't seem likely
If its anything like the metro deal its one-year. People have been asking on the Ubi-forums but the mods will either lock the threads or dance around the question like they're doing the waltz.
When do i fuckin upgrade from artisans?
I started a 2nd game. Only do hard. So i settled in some good islands but ill def have to war someone to get some higher tier shit. I have 12 ship of the line. Is that enough?
bros. how long will it take for a crack? my hand is hovering the buy button. not sure how long i can hold on
glad they removed so many small but good features and completely fucked up trade routes!
How do I make money? I keep getting poorer and poorer.
When you have enough needs and luxury like any other class you Foozler.
What's the multiplayer in these games like? Screwing each other over in trade constantly?
stay on top of your luxuries, make sure they're always maxed out (happiness tab), also probably slow down production stuff, build more houses.
Or building an armada to bully the guy with less weapons factories.
are you blind, illiterate or just fucking idiot?
Playing for 30 minutes and then quitting because I can't speed it up and it's too slow.
>buyfags actually have loyalty to a giant corporation
what the fuck are you serious?
EHEHEHEHE GOYIM I SEE YOU HAVE NO [insignificant resources go here], PERHAPS WE CAN MAKE A DEAL? [insert bloated price over resource here despite having a significant amount of it]
white girl is your sister
Hurr durr game is comfy...
>have to build cities for workers everywhere
>reaching the highest pop tier takes forever and is complicated as fuck
>each new tier has you seek out new infrastructure to build
>end up with dozens of ships on multiple trade routes
>multi tasking the expansion of multiple islands at the same time
>constantly chasing expeditions
>pirates attacking!
>one of your ships has been destroyed
>.......(faggot mcfat hated that! -5)
>an illness is spreading!
>you want oil?
>holá need 2000 mutts for that!
>take care of expedition events
>start noticing production/consumption imbalances
>have to expand MORE
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH WHERE IS THE COMFY YOU FUCKING FAGGOTS LIED TO ME THIS AINT COMFY THIS IS BEING CEO OF A BILLION DOLLAR COMPANY TIER STRESS DEFINITELY NOT THE GAME CEO PLAY TO UNWIND
Yeah I stopped playing this because every time I'd load it up I'd get stressed and I want comfort in my city builder.
Why have these when the game legit tells you ingame what the ratios are?
>1800s arctic exploration
Yes, this is my shit.
>No Raj India-themed Islands
>No colonial Hong-Kong Islands
trash
>Only expansion is going to add boring arctic shit you probably can't do much building on anyways
trash
I don't trust Ubisoft with Anno so it's a day 1 pirate for me
It's shit, we already got an arctic map in 2205.
Was hoping for an Indian or Chinese territory like said
>This game is pretty good
>CRACK WHEN
>Just buy it, the game is decent
>CRACK WHERE
>Whatever then
>LOL SEETHING BUYKEK, CRACK WHEN
Maybe you should go play 2205. That's probably more your speed.
Because its a quick reference cheat sheet. Also that picture has the ratios for when you add electricity into the mix.
Make sure you get beer. It might be a dick in the ass to get a proper steady supply going but the payoff is worth it. Make sure you have schnapps, beer and rum and your people will start shitting out money for you.
yeah same here, I'm not enough of a cuck to give ubi $$
oh wow you sure got me. Pls tell me more
Cry about it nigger.
how many houses should your "main" island have? Kinda starting to see that I'm going to struggle to add more houses and be able to meet the needs of each citizen tier. I've seen people say that once you hit artisan you can shove most if not all of the farmers/workers off the island and pretty much make it artisan only. Not really seeing how that's possible.
End game you should be aiming for your main island to be all houses plus zoos/museums and the worlds fair. It should be fed by surrounding islands. It is very doable. At tier 4 you get a building that shares workforce across your islands.
is the amount of houses, regardless of their tier, in that image a good amount? or for a "good" city should there be more? It's just getting harder and harder to meet their needs. Granted, I only have one trade route and 1 ship doing it. But the process still confuses me. Do you just focus on one island until you hit artisan/engineer and then once you have that going you start to get other islands involved and move things around? or should you just rush other islands ASAP and get that infrastructure started as early as farmer phase?
Wonder if that guy still has that "going into games machine". These people seem like they're having a good time and I want to visit them.
absolutely fucking soulless
ctrl shift R
Do you actually need to do zoos/museums for the campaign, or can I just skate by without worry about them until I do sandbox? I just want to finish it as quickly as possible.
its free tho
>mud nigger
she looks like a darkened white 3d model. i was actually surprised they didnt give the new world characther models more negroid features desu
CTRL+SHIFT+R
Comfy awaits, Annon.
where?
yes, and?
You won't need them. Later on you use them attract people and make tourism cash.
>being this new
Probably because EU defamantion laws and the overall cuckoldry in baguetteland prevent them from even considering the idea.
I mean, would they even have the balls to re-create east-west relations in the 1800s? It would make for some interesting mechanics and production trees but at the cost of potentially pissing off poos and bugmen?
How the fuck does this make sense when we colonize the new world now in Anno, but rl sjw are screeching against anything that has anything to do with colonization, especially of those territories.
I picked up the game today and looking forward to maximum comfy with the industrial revolution aesthetic
No one raises a fuss about Paradox games letting you play as Hitler or reenact all the stuff that happened to the chinks and poos. And in Anno games you aren't so much a colonial exploiter as you are a benevolent benefactor creating mutual prosperity among all your islands.
for germans this IS comfy tho
I have the oil train station thing with lines going in opposite directions. Yet only one fucking train leaves at a time so i keep losing power. Also need to be able to assign escorts to new world trade routes.
It's comfy for everyone who isn't a vapid zoomer.
>Also need to be able to assign escorts to new world trade routes.
When you click to escort a ship that's on its rounds, if it goes to the new world, the escort gets left behind at the border?
this too ofc
Because the new world is populated by pseudo-Hispanics of indeterminate identity and become strong independent women whom fight injustice and can be anything.
New world is pretty bland imo. Even afro-jack sparrow is pretty dull.
And why do you think a China or India island would be any less non-offensive? Anno has never portrayed "ethnic" population poorly before and no one has ever accused them of doing such. I don't know why they would start if it portrayed the Chinese or Indians.
There are 2 more tiers beside artisans??? Fucking shit how will i balance all of them out
So will Anno 1800 come to steam eventually?
It doesn't calculate breakpoints.
Yup it gets left behind. I also tried assigning a frigate to the trade route but then it just tries to pick shit up but doesnt have enough holds. I cant seem to get patrol routes to work either all the ships get stuck and you cant set waypoints for them like in 2070
Figuring it out is half the fun.
ONE YEAR
gid gud
become empire
Imagine my shock when i had to go to another island to get those peppers.
I can't make it to the final population tier because by the time my game has reached that point it runs so fucking slow I have to wait half an hour to transfer shit to and from the new world just to build all the stupid farms I need and give up
It's already on Steam technically... it's just not allowed to be sold there and won't show up in search results. You had to have purchased it on or before release day to have the Steam version.
No one knows if it's ever coming back but at least in this case you're not stuck with EGS. You can get the game directly on Uplay.
I set up new world to be effective and then just ignore it. I wont even check on fires anymore. Its basically the slave islands
how much of a bitch is chartered company to get?
That level of building management is unbelievable to me. That looks really good, it seems i still have a lot to learn. In my game if a pig escapes from the slaughterhouse and there is a shortage of sausages my whole island implodes with -100 of everything.
The absolutely brilliant art in Anno is always ruined by the fact that everything you build is on a grid and the game makes no effort to hide that fact
We do know, it's a one year exclusivity then it's back on Steam.
I personally think its because of current EU policies on media but I also think those groups are probably the most sore when it comes to the 1800s, china in particular.
I'm not saying they could not do it properly or perhaps I'm over-exaggerating the potential response. I'm just thinking they're not up to the challenge of making it not only respectable but distinct and enjoyable from aesthetics to game-play.
Also, Im not sure if there was an Anno with a third world in the purest sense (maybe space in 2205?) but that seems like an interesting approach to building on 1800
They could easily do all of that stuff but with a "WHITE MAN BAD" tone over it. Kinda like how WWII games are made nowadays
ONE YEAR!?
>Kinda like how WWII games are made nowadays
>all factions are White
>Allies are "good guys" and are all White
>"WHITE MAN BAD" because nazis are also White
Shut up. Please.
WHATS THE DEAL WITH TIME?
what is the best island setting? Atoll? Snowflake?
Who designed these females? I have a terrible case of lonely and horny right now.
WW2 is white people vs white people, of course one of thems gonna be bad
obreras are hot as fuck man
The engineer woman does it for me. Not into femdom but if she told me she needed me to be a footstool on a leash, I don't think I'd put up too much protest.
anyone else think it's fucking stupid how there's female engineers, most of the boat captains are female, and all the people on the new world are part of a womens rights movement or something?
What are your population records as of now? I got to 15k and engineers, but now I feel like restarting...
>Just got done moving almost all of my farm shit to two smaller islands.
>Now just waiting for a bit more goods and income before I finally start upgrading workers to artisans
>Pan over to the AI islands
>They already have like 700 artisans and have probably conquered the new world
either play with easy AI or settle quickly so you get it before they do
having to go to war in this game isn't very fun
Crack when?
You can safely upgrade a few houses to artisan and not worry about negative effects. The money boost is too good not to.
Does anyone know how to recover the map seed of a savegame you already started?
I got 80 rum from a couple pirate gunboats. Damn, these things seem really good to grind against.
Should I just hold on to the rum or sell it? I just unlocked Artisan.
So you hate epic so much that you rather use a launcher... To launch another launcher....
Stupid drone
Yeah if you can tolerate the painfully slow turning ships and movement speed grinding pirates is a good way to get items. Just have to babysit your ships because they love to chase a gunship right into the pirate cove. As for the rum I'd keep it for the artisan happiness.
What should I play until it gets cracked?
the world's smallest violin
Using Epic would require using two launchers as well.
its a uPlay game.
I rolled a big starting island and 3 large starting islands nearby on the southwestern edge of the map, but i'm inbetween 3 hard AI and hard pirates, and the 3 hard AI are between me and all 3 NPC vendors
How much pain am i in for in return for a nice core zone?
Did you just crawl out of a cave and somehow missed all the "blacks shooting wypipo during world wars" games?
bote.
Are battlecruisers really inferior to ships of the line... i havent gotten to building BCs yet
I really hate the model they went with for ships of the line. Absolute trash.
Steamships get bonus morale for expeditions for some reason.
but you can basically just ignore expeditions in the campaign, right?
I'm not sure I understand the question. You need to complete two expeditions to finish the campaign but you certainly don't need to advance to steamships to successfully do them.
so basically this is cities skylines but in the '800s?
will wait for the crack
No way. I think at least 3 are part of the conditions you need to complete in order to progress.
or play the medieval one set in 1404 that's on GOG.
It really isn't. You aren't going to enjoy it if that's what you're looking for.
More that I can do the simple ones like go to the New World, but I don't have to get a bunch of animals and artifacts for the campaign like it keeps suggesting I do, right?
Not at all. Two completely different animals.
Just mass overproduction?
what it's like then?
To reach the end of the storyline? no. You just need to fulfill the conditions in the "your story" quest-bar. You wont even need to build a zoo nor museum.
But at once you do then the save you're playing turns into sandbox mode and can continue on. So you might want to get those animals and and artifacts to make your zoos and museums pretty.
>preordering a game
shill thread
Anno. It's not a new series.
Cities skyline industries DLC but 10x more chains and you cant curve roads nor build highways. Also every map is an island map.
Man, shit can spiral out of control really fucking easy huh
Where would you tell a newcomer to start? 1800? 1404?
You can't do that since epic doesn't allow unauthorised third party key activation.
They're all the same save for the game that came out before 1800, I forget its name.
Once you can transfer workforce, is there still a reason to have cities on other islands or can I focus on production?
royal taxes
Cant believe that no one has mentioned this yet. You can set custom difficulty in the sandbox mode such that there are no AI faction and no pirates. Hell put fertility on all the islands, make them huge and turn down disasters to low so it takes an eternity for fires to ramp up their destruction.
1800 is the best one yet and a straight upgrade.
If you want comfy make a custom game, turn off pirates then set the other competitors to Qing, the ginger bitch with the sunhat and the reedy little british virgin. Then just expand slowly and carefully.
There are alot of QoL that its missing out on compared to 1404 like editable numbers for trade quantities and delete key for fields.
Otherwise I would agree, its just not too much different which is what people wanted compared to the future Annos.
Pirates are starting to really piss me off.
But I'm in this awkward situation of my own creation where I can't stop my trade routes or else my entire operation shits the bed.
Making ships to defend them is so slow though fuuuuuuck.
