I had assumed Eureka was unlike XI because it would be too difficult, but simply emulating early game XI seems like it would be easier than the actual system they set up.

Also playing them side by side feels like playing two halves of one good game. Pretty much everything bad about XI has a reasonable solution in XIV and vice versa.

Eureka is nothing like XI. The pace of combat is two different entities. XI is slow enough that you can play on dial-up and chat in a textbox while fighting, XIV is so fast that you need 100ms or less to double weave oGCDs and you can't type while playing because you have to constantly move.

Just keep in mind they can always scrap the free 15 days program in the future but they've had it for two years so far and no signs of it leaving.

To give you an example, each data center has few worlds within it.

The entry subscription would allow you to play within each of these worlds with 1 character each but you can't make extra character per world.

Goblin = 1 character
Goblin = 2 character. only the first one created can play.

But the standard 30 days for $14.99 allows you to play with multiple characters on one world which is something people rarely do anyway.

Goblin = 2 character. can play with both characters with the standard subscription on one world.

It's cheaper to get the entry subscription if you're just starting out and not running alts for farming or crafting.
Even with my crafting I've haven't had the need to run multiple characters yet on one world.

Savage should be structured differently. Every drop should already be max ilvl for the rest of the expansion. First tier should drop only accessories, second tier only some left-side equipments and final tier weapon + the remaining left-side equipment. This would also make EX trial weapon more valuable.

I have friends use the guild bank or other friends to transfer items between each other.
I would avoid doing that, I've haven't seen SE ever getting upset at players transferring their items between all their characters but it wouldn't be smart to do that.

Also people run end-game content on multiple characters because when the new content comes out they have a weekly cap of 1 or 2 items per content.
When new content comes out it's uncapped.

As I said just use the entry subscription, isn't any real reason to use the standard subscription ever.

Hrothgar are from Ilsabard and Miqo'te lived in Ilsabard from the beginning of the 3rd Astral Era until the 5th Umbral Era. I don't think they're related though.

Well I'm a different user that the one you were originally talking to but I also don't raid. I don't like having responsibilities in a video game that extend beyond myself. If I could just show up whenever I wanted and everyone was just there I would raid no problem, like 10 am on Tuesday and 1 am on Friday and then not again for another 3 weeks. I mcuh prefer solo content like Eureka because there are no commitments and I can play for as long or little as I want on a given day. I can grind Eureka for 80 hours in one week then not touch it again for a few months and my progress still caries over.

On SB's release, PvP used to give a pretty good amount of EXP. Now, it only gives the winner the full amount of EXP and everyone else gets proportionately less, causing the bottom to fall out to the point where even if you win, the queue times are too long to make it a viable source of leveling.

At release, I leveled DRK from 60 to 70 with it in a pretty quick time, and as Immortal Fails, only won maybe 1/10 matches. I would imagine the Maelstrom probably could justify still using it since they have over a 50% win record, styling all over the flames and adders.

2) Mistakes happen, accept them and move on. Recurring mistakes from the same people across different raid nights however are unacceptable. If someone is unwilling to put in extra time playing in PUGs to catch up with everyone else, they are dead weight. Do not hesitate to remove them if they continue.

It's incredibly obvious that 90% of the bullshit this group went through is because of the "leader". I would have talked to the DRG, the BRD, and maybe the leader's friend you said you were on pretty good terms with one on one and convinced them to leave and start a new raid group together with me. Infact that's kind of how my current group was formed, except our previous leader wasn't really a shitter, but just an incredibly fucked and supremely toxic human being.

Good question.
The answer is a combination of sunk cost fallacy and the fact that no-one but the raid leader actually wanted to lead.
I'd already spent X amount of time trying to make the static work and didn't want all of that effort going to waste.
But at the same time, I didn't want to actually be the leader.
We (the aforementioned people and myself) did discuss just starting our own group, but then I'd just have to spend even more time finding even more members and no-one wanted to be the leader.

Which isn't to say I haven't learned my lesson, and these days I would end up doing exactly that without any hesitation.
I guess I'm just an optimist.

>would get pissed off at me whenever I asked them to use Regens on the tank considering they're pulling in the least DPS by a large amount
>raid leader stopped coming on mic, and even stopped joining the raid channel entirely because they were listening to music instead
