All I want is it on switch because I probably wouldn't finish it again unless it was portable.

All I expect is your standard golden update

>P5 The Royal
Are you sure it's not P5 The Retarded?

>that pic
What is it about this game that makes normalfags think of it as a masterpiece? It was quite a disappointment after all those years of waiting, with barely any differences and improvements from 4, a game that was put together in 2 years. I still can't digest that they made us sit through fucking days of streaming just to get a picture of some fucking chairs.

>What do you want?
Nothing
>What do you expect?
Disappointment

a $20 upgrade option for P5 Vanilla owners
a $60 release only

>a stylish victory

I want them to fix all the small minor issues but i expect absolutely nothing

I expect the guy who said Persona 5 (PS3/PS4 2016) would be ported to the Switch to be banned for insisting the rumors were true. You know, the rumors that said

December, Persona 5 Switch announced for the Game Awards Show.
January, Persona 5 Switch announced.
February, Persona 5 Switch announced for Direct.
March, Persona 5 Switch announced because of the Smash Jane leak.
April, Persona 5 Switch announced because I'm an millennial and I just think its perfect for the Switch and I always get what I want and its just perfect OK!?

Portbegging cunts. Multiply that portbegging for the better half of a decade on the 3DS, WiiU, Switch, PC. Christ.

Attached: BlyrS8U.jpg (762x689, 76K)

>P5R
A side-story with new cast in the vein of Digimon Story: Hacker's Memory developed by the Nu P-Team.
>P5S
Some sort of spin-off like Arena and Dancing, not a Switch version of P5.

>the hackers memory of persona
atlus doesn't deserve that much of a straight upgrade

hopefully on switch so i can emulate it

P5S is gonna be a stage play and I'm ready for the disappointment

It has nice presentation. That's all it takes.

Honest question, why would they announce something as big as a port to the Switch on a random ass day via website just saying, "yeah this will also be at the concert"'?

its mostly mentally ill smashfags who think that whole world resolves around smash

It's Persona 5 The Retort It

How can someone want nothing and still get disappointed?

I want an Xbox One port.

you and all 4 other xbox owners

>portbegging cunts
Atlus did a survey asking people if they want P5 on another consoles and PC. We're allowed to ask.

4 in 16 posters, that's actually a good number.

You're also allowed to suck my dick and I ain't seeing shit.

I want it to be a Golden style update with some fixes to some of the game's problems but the new girl isn't shit and actually adds to the game in some way. I expect it to be that except the new girl will not be a great addition, though she'll probably be better than Marie still.

Millennials are like 40 years old, retard.

Just saying but you seem like the kind of people that only buys games if they are exclusive to your favorite platform.

*ATLUS USA.

Cool, portbegging is still console wars and has ruined every Persona 5 thread (well any gaming thread). Because you're entitled to it because you're a special boi millennial and if you cry at a supermarket mommy will buy you that piece of candy since you're entitled to it! Maybe beg for Halo to be on the PS4 next. And Pokemon on the Xbox One. Portbegging isn't cancerous at all!

Would it be too late to ask for an English script that didn't feel like it came straight out of a machine translation?

>What do you want?
persona 5: eternal punishment
>What do you expect?
goro's inevitable redemption arc, so they can pander to the fujos

37/38 is the cutoff this year

Yeah, never bought DMC5, Nier Automata or Yakuza 0.
Surely missed on those because they weren't portable :(

>Maybe beg for Halo to be on the PS4 next. And Pokemon on the Xbox One.
Those are first party games and even then MS ported Halo to the PC so your argument doesn't even hold.

they did the same thing with smt and etrian odyssey as well. guess everyone else is allowed to beg for those, then.

Serious post here.
Want Haru to be introduced early, arrives too late. More SMT4 demons. As much as it’ll never happen, Demifiend superboss and clues to P2 remake with appearance from that game’s Joker appearing in a man can dream eh?

the script was whatever but that name pronunciation in the dub hoo fucking boy
>TUHKAWMUHKEE
>SUHKOWMUHTOW
i'm glad i played with japanese first but holy shit if you can't hire people that can pronounce fucking names correctly don't hire any at all

Nope. PC and Switch are options in Atlus JP survey too. Only Xbox One is an Atlus USA thing.

For the new girl character to be an organic part of the story. Marie was far too shoe-horned. The IT aside from MC only talks to her twice, yet at the end of the game everyone acts like they're super close to her

>there are still people who can’t afford a PS4 and this game
Unless you’re unemployed, this game and console is cheap as chips.

I really don't care to support Snoy products + I need to play it on the go. It's like the perfect game to play on the go, especially since my parents drive me around a lot in their car and I have nothing to do (good way to avoid conversations too).

Yes but you'll have twice as many memes and it will be censored.

I own PS4 and P5. Doesn't change the fact I'd much rather play it on PC at 144Hz and without having to boot up that piece of shit box just for one game.

I never played a Persona or SMT game before and I know very little about them. Would P5 be a good place to start?

Attached: 1515652165507.jpg (634x538, 35K)

All I want is enough new content to justify double dipping. Maybe they could add a mega dungeon that you get months to finish.

if you play through p5 first you're going to incredibly frustrated with how shitty the combat for previous games is

P5 is a good place to start if you don't mind the fact that it's weebshit as fuck. SMT is for the more traditional, edgy experience.

Persona 5 is a PS3 game ported to the PS4. It's not a PS4 exclusive.

No, you'll just cry when enemies insta kill you in Fuataba's dungeon and you lose 2 hours of progress in a 100+ hour game.

It's most newcomer friendly for sure, though if you care more about dungeon crawling and hard fights then SMT might be a better bet (Nocturne or SMT4).

This. Took me almost 100 hours when I played it on the ps4. No way I'd go through that again unless i didnt have to sit in the same place for the whole duration.

>double dipping a 100 hours game
Jesus fuck me what a waste of time.

p5 and smtiv are both good starting points to ease you into megaten.
imagine being this bad at games.

it's only 100 if you're reading every single line of dialogue and haven't played a jrpg before. the speedrun wr is 20 hours

What's stopping you? Not me for sure.

>playing
>a
>fucking
>jrpg
>to
>speedrun

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

>What I expect
Very little
>What I hope for
An expansion (full playable w/ optional palace & expanded role in the story) for:
Sae Nijima
Goro Akechi
Hifumi Togo (considering how close she was to playable in the first place, this seems easy).

Like, Persona 5 was so mega popular that doing that kind of stuff, making a new PC, and doing some Persona 3 FES thing would be really cool.

for a jrpg speedrun 20 hours is pretty low, the only franchise that's shorter is pokemon. if p5 had a legitimate cutscene skip option instead of "lol just fast forward bro" it would be far far shorter. the dungeons all take an hour max

>hifumi party member
Could have full autism awareness party then with Makoto and Yusuke.

Why would they do that for The Royal?

>What's stopping you?
being an idort who actually appreciates games instead of a console-war shitposter.

Unpopular opinion: I like Goro character, especially when he goes nuts. I think it would be interesting if he survived and talked this way with the party for the rest of the game.

i think it would be interesting if you killed yourself

It everyone can be or want to be an idort. I won't buy a PS4 because I have little incentives for it, plus it would be another console to pay for online. That's just too much for me. I use my Switch inside my car, during work breaks, etc and found the Xbox to be the cheapest console for playing games at home (got it for 160 euros used and have been using game pass for cheap).

>persona thread
>started by smashtranny that doesn't play his own game let alone the games the characters are from

Attached: sleep.jpg (1000x753, 107K)

>Hifumi Togo (considering how close she was to playable in the first place, this seems easy).
The character was never supposed to be playable, she was just a rejected Makoto design

>Some sort of spin-off like Arena and Dancing, not a Switch version of P5.
this is my biggest fear

>What do you want?
FeMC.
>What do you expect?
Another Marie.

The people that were that easily impressed by it weren't the same as those of us who had to wait for it. It's shiny and looks nice, it's seriously all they care abut. They used the stylization to gloss over the lack of definitive improvements and changes from 4, and it worked.

I'm more afraid that P5S being Persona 5: Switch would make it different from P5R.
If The Royal is a "Golden" style game why wouldn't they just announce that and then say it's also coming to Switch?
inb4 split content

>Switch port
>not a Switch port

I hope they'll actually let us do a social link with Goro.

It's not going to be a Switch port. Atlus is one of the most retarded developers and publishers, they'll stick to their exclusivity. PC is the only platform that has a chance of getting a port since it has SEGA EU behind it. If they pester Atlus and SEGA JP enough they might get the source code and outsource it.

A long jRPG with a visual novel style is perfect for a portable. Any portable. You're just mad Vita was shit and if we do get a portable Persona game, it'll come to Switch. Literally none of you were this mad about games getting ported to Vita.

>if we do get a portable persona game
but there were already two?

whoops sorry there were 4, 2 of them nintendo exclusive as is

Lol if P5 on the PS3 had frame rate problems, I can only imagine what the Switch version will be like.

but it didn't?

That's exactly what I want it to be. Give me a new game over a port anyday.

Daily reminder that Sega outright bragged in a Playstation Blog post they put Atlus's senior localizers on Yakuza 0 instead of Persona 5
Daily reminder games from the Ryo ga Gotoku studio now get multiple translations/dubs while Atlus games can't even get dubs anymore

The PS3 version had poorer frame rate and graphics compared to the PS4 version.
>t. someone who played both

>What do you want?
A sequel or completely parallel story in the Persona 5 setting with 70+ hours of gameplay
>What do you expect?
Persona 5 with 1-2 extra social links and an optional dungeon.

wow a whole .2 fps difference

What's with this board hating P5 now? It was beloved for like months after it came out. Now people are saying P4 is better somehow? P4 has god fucking awful pacing even worse than 5, with massive chunks of just goddamn nothing going on, with a big heaping helping of boring bullshit right at the start. Not to mention P4 has an exceedingly unlikeable cast that Yusuke alone out-charms.

If you're gonna say P3 is better, I'll concede that the writing and tone carry that one despite the horrible uncontrollable party members, but P4? Get the fuck outta here. The admittedly gimped negotiations and droves of SMT demons already put 5 above 4, and that's mostly fluff. 5's got much better music, a much better artstyle, dungeons that aren't randomly generated crap, and I could go on and fucking on.

Attached: 1471799788388.jpg (564x428, 53K)

why would you want dubs

Most people who experienced (not played) P4 did it through the anime or Golden circa 2011-2013, it's old enough to trigger nostalgia now. Entire video game outlets like Giant Bomb went into P5 explicitly saying they wanted P4-2 instead of a new story.

It's been this way for almost two years now, so I don't know why it's just now striking you.

>What do you want?
Sae S.Link.
>What do you expect?
That new girl to be an annoying Mary Sue.

>What's with this board hating P5 now?
>now
P3/P4fags have been in permanent seethe mode since, at least, the start of 2018, if not a little earlier.

>Smash Jane leak
So what was the deal with that? Considering I haven't seen a female Joker render being passed around on Yea Forums, I'm guessing it turned out to be bullshit?

People predicted the fanbase would still be P1/2 vs P3/4 just with 5 joining the latter, turns out it's now a bitter free-for-all where every game in the series but your favorite is mediocre trash.

>What's with this board hating P5 now?

It learned nothing from previous Persona games and the soundtrack isn't that great. How did Persona 5 improve on Persona 3 or 4 in the plot? Did it incorporate your decisions more in the story (who you're dating). Did it make the gameplay more engaging than 1 turn wipeout? Does it have the battle mechanic complexity of the 3DS SMT games? Did it improve on the poor story pacing of Persona 3 or 4? Were hangout events better done than Persona 3? Was the stamina system better, how does taking an exam use up a full day that you can't even do anything at night?

How about the fact it reuses a lot of bad music, like the end-game November to December overworld day music being that horrible regurgitated event drama BGM? How about the fact Persona 5 throws Ryuji, Ann, Yusuke, Haru to the wayside in favor of making sure Makoto and Futaba got more screentime, more characterization? Was the resolution of Akechi handled properly? What did you think of listening to the same Mementos BGM nonstop?

Did you know that Nier Automata songs have at least 4 variants (retro, slow, medium, vocal variations)? How many variations of Mementos music in a 150 hour JRPG are there? Why are the battle tracks of Persona 3 and 4 DLC? Why did ATLUS sit on Persona 5 PS3 for a year to make time to port the game for PS4, did the game improve at all?

Persona 5 is a 7/10. All style, no real substance. I didn't even cover the weak ass individual Palace villains or the actual dungeon puzzles that were done and over with the Hold PS3 controller L1 button. How about those catchy reused battle quotes like LOOKING COOL JOKER? Persona 5 is perfect right, it's a celshaded PS3 era game ported to PS4 and it's just flawless. Right??

Attached: j5dQhwD.jpg (468x571, 49K)

>The faggot with le meme "style over substance" finally showed up.

Except there's also an entire paragraph of an argument in supporting it, whereas you just greentexted at him condescendingly.

What did I get wrong?

He is right tho. I would add that Persona 5 had arguably the worst characters and story of the franchise.

Guys, lets please just quit with the bitching. Let's focus on things we need.

Like being able to fuck bestest boi Yusuke

Attached: 1492526217276.png (719x861, 626K)

An entire paragraph about why he doesn't like the music. Something entirely subjective tho.

>an entire paragraph
>middle 2 sections out of 4

I imagine with a dick that small you wouldn’t be seeing it, no.

7/10 is pushing it. it's a 6/10 at best and far too overrated. Everyone that thinks p5 is the best jrpg of all time in every aspect either havent played jrpgs or are retarded/pretending to be. it does some things better than the previous entries but all around it's just a bad experience if you've played ANY other games

don't come into Yea Forums with actual discussion once a game is talked about nonstop. People spend their entire lives shitting on games on this board just because they can

It makes me groan each time I read Japanese developers and fans give Persona 5 the best game award, not just JRPG.

Persona 3 includes a 2nd school semester song. It includes new songs for December to January. Persona 3's main dungeon also adds more musical notes as you reach higher floors of Tartarus. There is a music selection included for the FES cut.

Persona 4 includes end month music, special home night music at the end of the game, Persona 4 Golden includes much more robust soundtrack for night as well but that's not to undercut the fact it has a new battle theme and the old battle theme is the pre-emptive strike music. There's the Winter music in the Golden port too.

Persona 5 has one night song with or without vocals. The end game music is bad, the final boss music is bad, Mementos music never changes, and the school has no different track either. But hey, glory to Persona 5 and all that. Sequels shouldn't learn from previous games.

is it true that nintenbros actually begged for a Persona 5 port for 9 years?

I agree with you about P5 not changing up its music enough actually, but the endgame music is fine and so is Yaldabaoth/Our Beginning. Also, while Mementos not changing its music isn't good, the dungeon music is still generally better than the dungeon music in the previous two games, especially P3, even though Tartarus' music changed a bit through the game it's still grating to listen to by the end of it because you hear it constantly and it doesn't change enough, unlike Mementos where you don't have to listen to the song as much because there are other dungeons with other, and better, songs that you spend more time in. P4, Golden especially, definitely handles its music the best in my eyes though, because where P3 handles its music well outside of Tartarus well and poorly in it, and P5 handles its music in its dungeons well and not so well outside of them, P4 was pretty consistent throughout. My only real complaint with it is that The Almighty doesn't work well with the length of the boss fight its in because it's a lot of nothing and then a big climax, but the fight is so long that the song will almost certainly loop once and it doesn't feel good to get to that climax and realize you're only halfway through the fight. Also, fights are too short to get to the highlights or Reach Out to the Truth, which is less of an issue with Last Surprise and Mass Destruction.

at least in FES you could change tartarus' music. mementos NEVER becomes good

I want them to iron out the issues with the story

>Literally none of you were this mad about games getting ported to Vita.
spotted the newfag. vitafags were ridiculed and despised for barely a fraction of the port-begging that switchfags do on a daily basis.

you mean take out and rewrite 60% of it? that shit needs a bit more than ironing

>Literally none of you were this mad about games getting ported to Vita.
I'm still upset Persona 4 golden isn't emulatable.

>If you're gonna say P3 is better, I'll concede that the writing and tone carry that one
p3's writing is terrible and its pacing is some of the worst i've ever seen in a game, easily worse than 4's. it basically doesn't have a story until the last month or so.

>>What do you want?

>definitive edition only available on a console nobody has ever owned

P3 had such a bad ending, that they had to release a DLC to try and fix it.

Nintendo fans are mentally ill people and said that P5 was a 3DS exclusive

I wouldn't care if P5 comes to Switch, in fact, i guess that most Nintendo fans don't care about the game per se, they just want to shitpost as hard as possible

Attached: 1448668463814.jpg (1855x2275, 773K)

*not DLC a new version

The answer wasn't DLC, and they didn't try to fix anything. It wasn't a bad ending, just ambiguous to braindead retards who didn't pick up on the not so subtle flags telling you what happened.

@459258368
Shitposting about Persona 5 music is honestly just sad

People in 3rd world countries have wages around 200 - 300 USD a month. Go choke on a dick

Video games are a luxury good, not a necessity . If you can't afford it, you don't need it. 3rd worlder.

Who said I don't have the game and console? Still, calling a 450~ purchase cheap sounds pretty entitled.

this

I already emulated Persona 5 and played through it ages ago.

They didn't.
They announced an announcement after the last episode of the anime.
It wasn't just dropped on a random day like P5S, Switchfag.

>What do you want?
An Xbone port
>What do you expect?
To be completely ignored

Attached: 1528662921293.png (782x743, 635K)

You could, but that you had to at all is just a testament to how horrible it is to spend so long listening to the music in Tartarus. Mementos is bearable because it's just one song in a variety of other dungeon songs, where Tartarus is all you get, even if they change it up a bit overtime. That you have to change the music to a song that wasn't made for crawling through Tartarus and do away with the intended escalation in the soundtrack along with it just because the music gets to be so annoying is really bad, and Mementos never gets to that point because you spend significantly less time there than you do in Tartarus, even if you do all of Mishima's requests.

But they weren't?

>Xbone

This guy lol

There's not much to get by in a 3rd world country, so it doesn't really matter if I buy it.

If people finish your story and say "what just happened" at the end of it, then you did a horrible job as a writer.

When do we get news?

you spend a fuck ton of time there if you want the eternal lockpick early enough for it to be usable

Not really, most of the issues come in at the end when the plot really kicks into gear. Just dealing with Akechi in a more satisfying way and expanding a bit on the criticism of the PTs which gets brushed aside would be all the change in the plot I really need. That and cutting back on the exposition, but I doubt they'd do that.

m-muh datamine

Next week

Expect this board to turn into a shitfest

I would welcome a literal machine translation in all games if it means no shitty fucking memes or references and no censorship. Games going mainstream was a mistake.

Or you're just retarded. Look at 5, people had it literally written out in multiple instances during the game and they STILL argue about the ruse.
If the fact the great seal cost your entire HP, the game telling you how tired you are and how hard it is to move, and finally having Aegis telling you to rest/fade out to black doesn't tell you enough then you weren't invested in the first place.
24/25.

Let me be gay

It's still significantly less time than you'll spend in Tartarus though, and time in Tartarus is time you have to give up too, where what you mention is just part of playing optimally.

After the shit that golden was, i wouldnt expect much.

It would be a cold day in hell before I buy the same fucking game again on the same console because Atlus are fucking jews.

Not to mention they completely botched the whole "isekai/metaverse" bullshit. Fuck atlus usa.

So, is that Best Buy leak legit? I personally think that P5 will indeed come to Switch but i want to know your opinion.

Golden was good though, Marie aside.

Fuck no.

Your mistake is giving the slightest shit what anybody here thinks.

No. The game is obviously coming only to Japan first

>easier
>unnecesary mary sue
>unnecesary new ending
>unnecesary new shitty battle theme

Its ok to admit buying a vita was a mistake.

I dont want to buy a console just for one game. Fuck Snoy.

I'm always skeptical about ATLUS and exclusivity, so I'd say no but you never know. It's hard to know what's going through their heads with the game's they make exclusive when you have things like releasing a mainline SMT exclusively in Japan but on Xbox only, having a spinoff of a Playstation exclusive series be a 3DS exclusive, releasing a port of Catherine to PC in the same year that they're re-releasing the game with new content on consoles and whatever other dumb shit they've done.

>How did Persona 5 improve on Persona 3 or 4 in the plot? Did it improve on the poor story pacing of Persona 3 or 4?
the plot started at the beginning of the game - not in the last month after slogging through nothing but boring filler like 3.
it also at least made an attempt to have some depth to the story, unlike 4's weak combination of a wb teen drama, scooby-doo, and a moeshit slice-of-life anime. nothing in 4 compares to the kamoshida arc or the shadow futaba arc.
>Did it incorporate your decisions more in the story (who you're dating).
the "dating sim" elements of persona have always been wildly overrated. they'll never be as important as waifufags pretend they are. if you want a dating sim, play an actual dating sim, not persona.
>Did it make the gameplay more engaging than 1 turn wipeout?
demon negotiations and all the skills they added back to the series alone made the gameplay more engaging than 3 and 4. the perks you get from completing social links were also a nice touch, though there's certainly room for improvement. also, 5 finally brought some well-designed dungeons to the series for the first time since 1.
>Does it have the battle mechanic complexity of the 3DS SMT games?
of course not, but that has never been the point of persona. it's stupid to criticize 5 in particular for not doing something that the series as a whole has never done by design.
>How about the fact Persona 5 throws Ryuji, Ann, Yusuke, Haru to the wayside in favor of making sure Makoto and Futaba got more screentime, more characterization?
fair criticism, and assumign that p5r turns out to be another fes/p3p/p4g instead of a p2ep/smtiva, hopefully this will be fixed.
>Was the resolution of Akechi handled properly?
no, but the bigger issue is that his character arc was already done perfectly the first time around with jun in p2. no matter what, akechi was always going to be a poor imitation of jun.

I've never played Golden, but if it's as good as they say, I'd want even more for an enhanced P5. I don't care about a Switch port, I don't own a Switch. I have very low expectations, though. All I want is an enhanced remake of P3 with a lot of quality of life updates.

The new ending isn't great either, though I'd say its more appropriate, but the QoL changes, extra month to play, new places to go, new songs and new SoL scenes are almost all good additions to the game in my eyes. My only complaints outside of Marie and the new ending, which I still don't even really mind, is that I don't like the concert and I think they should have introduced the plant growing thing earlier if they were going to do it at all.

Get outta here, rat. When you talk about Persona you talk about PlayStation

I'd hate a remake of P3. A port would be appreciated, but a remake sounds like a waste of time, especially when ATLUS have other games that need remakes a lot more than that.

Funny that it even is a Playstation exclusive. I know that the Royal will be great! I'm just glad that 5chan leak was debunked.

I want P1 and P2 to get ported to newer consoles.

the answer wasn't dlc, but good point. and not only that, but they later went on to contradict the whole theme of "accepting death" by having elizabeth start searching for ways to bring door-kun back to life.

They have the assets from P3DM, so why not remake P3?

S=Stage Play

5 is overdue for one at this point.

Same. I'd love for both to get the anime treatment but movie-wise like P3. I really loved how they handled it.

i would rather have remakes of those games than ports. p2 in particular would benefit so much from a remake with p5's battle system.

I liked Golden, but that new dungeon was trash.

I really liked the first P3 movie, but didn't like 2 so I didn't bother to finish them. I hated all the Aigis pandering.

They only have the character models, the environment assets and everything else were just stretched ps2 assets. Besides, p3 had 3 rereleases, Atlus just needs to leave it alone at this point and move on.
The 2nd director they had was an enormous aigisfag/ryojifag so blame him.

LOLI ROMANCE!

Yeah this. What's the point in remaking P3? It's basically the same game as P5 anyway. But I'd kill for a press turn P1 and P2(s). And I want to max out my social link with Ginko.

That'd be nice too, ports of a lot of their games would be nice, especially for something like Raidou which isn't too plentiful.

I have to imagine it would still be a lot of work to remake an an entire 60 hour JRPG even with those assets, and beyond that, I don't really have faith in ATLUS to make a remake of P3 that'd be good based on how the series has been since, not because I don't trust that they can make good games or because I don't like how Persona has been since P3, but looking at P3P and seeing the changes made there, I imagine you'd see a lot of the same changes in another release of P3, and removing things like Tactics and making the Tired mechanic have less of a presence would take away the charm of the game in my eyes, and I say that from the perspective of someone who hates Tactics and thinks its a complete failure in every way.

I agree, but I meant the month on the whole. I actually think its more enjoyable if you haven't bothered with Marie so that you don't have to do that dungeon, I just think it's a nice way to close out the game and it a good moment to reflect on the game up to that point, it ends up feeling like a much more fitting endgame because of it, at least for me, compared to the base game where you just skip right from Adachi's dungeon to the last day. I was hoping to see something similar in P5 too, but at least there was a reason in the plot for why you couldn't play as Joker there.

I just hope they could make the character designs authentic and not just another P3 clone. P1/P2 had the SMT style before the change.

Did they really pander Aigis that much? I assumed she would be sidelined.

p3's been milked enough already. it got three versions in a four-year span. it's been shilled in all the spinoffs. and even after all that, the game is still so flawed. in order to make a remake worthwhile, 90% of the story would have to be rewritten to fix the pacing and make it less boring, tartarus would have to be replaced by dungeons that don't suck, and at that point, they might as well just put all that effort towards making p6 instead of remaking a game that isn't even old.
1 and 2 would be easier to remake because all they'd really need to do is copy-paste 5's gameplay mechanics and update the graphics. they'd also benefit from remakes way more than 3 would.

If they're going to go to the bother of remaking something like that where they'd have to make all the assets from the ground up, I'd rather they do SMT1 and 2, those are two games that could benefit enormously from remakes and feel like they have a lot of potential. Granted, I haven't played P1 and 2 so I can't speak on how much they feel like they do or do not need a remake compared to SMT 1 and 2.

P5R- Enhanced version
P5S- Fighter only avaible on PS4 and Arcade

To milk the Switch user base with a 60 Dollar port and then rerelease Persona 5 r as Persona Rs on Switch and ask for another 60 Bucks

Once Aigis gets introduced, she becomes the main focus of the movie. The fucking axed Akihiko scene at Shinji's funeral, and added more Aigis and Ryoji scenes.

Honestly P5 is sucks for bite sized sessions you'd normally have with the switch in portable. You won't feel like you made any progress.

>but the bigger issue is that his character arc was already done perfectly the first time around with jun in p2.
Are you fucking kidding me? Jun was a fucking mess of a character

Nigger you can emulate the ps3 version

Switch user base doesn't exist

If a fighting game for Persona 5 comes out, its coming to the Xbone since both P4 fighting games on are 360. Even Persona 4 Arena is BC.

What the shit? That sounds retarded. The funeral scene is an important part of Akihiko's character. That's definitely pandering.

How much it sold on Xbox?

Portable doesn't mean you have to play short sessions, it only means you are more mobile.
See MH4U as example, i probably have 3 times the hours compared to MH World

Who cares? Extra money is better than no money.

>P5S
>on PS4 only
>after Sony Japan turned into SJW's and many developers are abandoning them

It'll definitely be on Switch and Arcade.

persona games aren't made by the same team as smt. remaking p1 and p2 wouldn't have any bearing on whether or not smt1 and 2 get remade.
the major complaint that people have with p1 and p2 is that they have great stories and characters, but mediocre gameplay. remakes could fix the gameplay and make it easier for people to appreciate how well-written 1 and 2 are.

It won't be on switch. sorry

And how do you know this?

>I just think it's a nice way to close out the game and it a good moment to reflect on the game up to that point, it ends up feeling like a much more fitting endgame because of it, at least for me, compared to the base game where you just skip right from Adachi's dungeon to the last day.

Yeah, that's true. Also I have to admit, I actually don't mind Marie.

Who te fuck are Persona Switch user base? The audience IS sonyfags

>What do you expect?

something retarded

>Portable doesn't mean you have to play short sessions
the switch's nonexistent battery life and shit ergonomics means most people will only be playing short sessions.

cause switch owners are gay and obese

I love Persona, but if they somehow made their way to the Xbox, I would drop my PS4/Vita in a heartbeat.

It's amazing that the threads where anons are constructive about P5's flaws are only second best to the classic P1-P2 threads. Whereas the waifu and console war threads are dumpster fires.

>smashfags acting like now it's a nintendo franchise
Truly pathetic

Xbox is pretty dirt cheap too and they have a digital version of their One S. I actually want to get one.

and i did. i mean the special version.

Xbox is my primary console, with the PS4 being only for weeb games. If games like Yakuza and Persona made their way to the Xbone, my PS4 would be completely obsolete

I've noticed that a lot of Japanese games are splitting to both Xbox and Switch. I wonder if that'll be true down the line. Monster Hunter, Nier, and Shenmue seems to be signs of that. Also, Microsoft is doing quite a lot and it seems like they're pattering with Steam so that's even more Japanese games to stream.

Should I get the OG P5 for PS4 or get the royale or the switch version?

The switch version doesn't exist, silly

Soon my friend I'm just asking if I should wait for it

Probably wait for Royal at this point.

Royal.
A switch port is unlikely

Assets are cutscenes, scripting, battle rebalancing, and world building, really? It's that easy user? All while making new scenes and added content? Shucks, 4th Persona 3 here we go it'll be done ASAP!

Persona 5 is a PS3 game and PS4 is 6 years old without a new main Persona game of its own. PS5 has been announced, Persona 5 PS3 was delayed for the PS4 port. Just food for thought.

Good

as long as they change it so opening a door in mementos doesn't cut off dialogue, i'll be happy

that and make enemies drop ammo for guns

I can't wait to rub this in the face of Sony fanboys who have been using that same 2 year old "No Switch. No PC. that's a Sony thing." tweet as an argument for why Persona 5 isn't going to Switch. lol The tweet came from a FORMER AMERICAN EMPLOYEE who was speaking about Persona 5's INITIAL RELEASE.

I always knew it would come to Switch eventually because:

1. Switch is outselling PS4 by a large margin every month in Japan
2. Persona has always had portable versions and Vita is dead
3. Atlus and Nintendo have a great relationship
4. Sony had NOTHING to do with the development of that game, which means Atlus can put it on any platform

I want it to go to Xbox and PC as well just to anger the Sony fanboys. lol

DLC expansion as an option
fuck buying it twice

I'd love to have the whole Megaten franchise translated and on PC.

"no one ever said that" is probably my favorite, it's the embodiment of nintendo fanboy's hypocrisy

datable shiho

no datable shiho

my favorite part is the one about the 2chan "leak," because it's 2019 and retards on Yea Forums are STILL believing "leaks" from 2chan.

I want P5 Royal to be how SMT Apocalypse was

retards on Yea Forums would believe anything as long as it can be usd as shitposting fuel

Bad?
