-RY HO!!

Ichimonji is the best style

But Leaping Kicks completely invalidates SuperShooter Isshin3

>not shura ending vergil combat art
you both disgust me

The whirlwind slash is unironically the best in the end.

-rmful to your wrists and eyes after 12 hours sessions, please remember to take a 10 minute break every now and then.

>cheating at the game
When did Yea Forums become so casual?

I didn't have any combat art equipped because they are all terrible and it's very easy to use them by accident.

Based retard.

Prove me wrong.

why use that instead of high monk?

Do you really want to know the ultimate combat art?
unequip everything so you don't trigger it accidentally

Attached: 123.gif (750x528, 13K)

It's good one. Deals strong damage, is unblockable, has frontal aoe that gets 2-3 people easy. Final follow-up can actually hit if you swap target at last moment and even in 1v1 scenario gets blocked and not deflected.
Shame about cost though.

Senpou/Monk because it does more posture damage on sweep attacks compared to stomp.

Attached: 1528357139969.webm (960x540, 2.86M)

Why waste points on high monk when the only part of the attack worth using is the beginning you already have with SLP?

What is this webm? The dude is already at max posture.

Anime showcase.

Attached: 1536711048067.webm (852x480, 2.91M)

im going to wait until everyone stops being retarded to play this game bye

>Deals strong damage
Nah, at the point you get it, it already does less than regular attacks. It also tends to push targets out of range with it's first hit.
Anything it excels at is looking cool.

Double Ichimonji destroys enemy posture while restoring your own
Flying Kicks is basically an upgrade over simply jumping over sweeps
Nightjar Reversal is a great hit-and-run tool for encounters with multiple foes
The punching combo can stunlock certain foes and bosses
The one you get from beating SS is an actual decent ranged attack
I'm sure there's good uses for others as well, these are just that ones I kept cycling through

can't comment on how good it really is but I used floating passage on the ape and I was able to stun him a few times in a row with constant attacks

>it barely did 15% of his health
fucking pathetic

honestly i've only beaten about 6 or 7 bosses so far, but you can honestly just cheese the fuck out of them by standing mid distance and charge attacking them when they walk in, backdashing and repeating over and over.

just completely ignore posture and whittle down their HP bar. It's bitchmade as fuck but it works

>Flying Kicks is basically an upgrade over simply jumping over sweeps
I prefer to just do a normal kick and then start ichimonji right in the air. Does about as much posture damage as flying kicks but also restores your posture.

Ichimonji does the same. Hit his head hard and he keels over and is stunned for a while and ichimonji double tends to do it consistently

Just beat butterfly, it was tough first boss almost gave up. Is that fight the reason you don't remember anything about three years back and is it also the reason why you can revive

Yep, same. I also tend to use jumping ichimonji to close distance and interrupt the enemy against some bosses

Well no wonder you’ve only beaten 6 or 7 so far, widdling down their health takes way too long. You should learn to take advantage of the posture bar to make fights go quicker. You will have to learn sooner or later once you get to Isshin.

No the Divine Heir saves you at the end after you get stabbed. Keep playing the game though. Depending on your choices and what you discover, the narrative expands and you can learn more about that Hirata event 3 years ago.

I use Ashina Cross exclusively because it's the coolest.

I just did the bull, but I wanna say that if it's Papa Owl who stabs I'm gonna be pissed, so cliche.

Samurai movies are the direct inspiration for the cliche you're tired of.

Ah thanks I'm doing the ashina outskirts now

If you’re prepared to hate something before you experience it you were never meant to love it.

Wait, you can mikiri counter the kick?
Fuck

Yes you can mikiri counter any “jab” type attack.

Timing it at first is really fucking cancer because the animation is weird compared to everything else but once you get a hang of it you can mikiri fucking everything without fail

You can deflect snake eyes grab too.

Attached: 1547072892407.webm (852x480, 2.91M)

In my experience Floating passage is great when you can deal free damage for example Shichimen Warriors and Oni of Hate in a punish windows

ichimonji double is the only consistently good combat art
firecrackers are the only consistently good prosthetic

the whole customisation with prosthetics / skill systems in Sekiro was so fucking shit. From are getting too paranoid about balancing and every game gets its replayability and build variety neutered more and more

Sounds like you need to git gud because I used ichimonji and firecrackers the least out of the combat arts and prosthetics.

Guys I'm going up against the dude on the horse and have 1k gold what do?

What do I do with all this money,I don't want to lose it all

Buy firecrackers if you didn't allready. Other than that just dump everything into spirit emblems if you feel like you're gonna chump against a boss.

look up any sekiro speedrun and copy the skip they use.

I bought everything already. All that's left is the butterfly kunai

FUCK NINJAS

Attached: high monk.webm (960x540, 2.99M)

Then go spirit emblems if you think MY NAME is gonna kick your ass he won't, but blazing bull will
You can farm for the kunai later at the way to senpou temple

>not high monk

Fuck I bought the kunai. How hard is this horse dude anyway? compared to butterfly?

but they are the most fun enemy

When i said farm i meant the money for it so you're good.
Horse dude is more bark than bite, especially if you have firecrackers. Went down on my first try without a revive.

i fucking hate this game. why does it have such cool shit but all tucked away and only useable in the NG+. not to mention zero reason to use them as becoming highly experienced in simple light attacks will work far better for you.

game is also too fucking easy, once you've learned what you have to then the game bows to you in every way. 2nd half there should have been double the encounters with enemies (not multiple at once unless you charge straight in).

i'm genuinely at a point where the direction seems to be at falt here, least in terms of rpg.

>wastes 4 emblems just for some anime flurry bullshit that is completely outclassed by the regular R1

alright fine, DAB ON NINJAS
and FUCK MONKEY SWORDMASTERS

Whats the trick against corrupted monk? I guess it have no weakspots and is just a spongy boss

Yea he's dead. Easy af compared to butterfly. I expected a second phase with him getting down from the horse but some heas dead

Snap seeds and confetti

She's literally the only boss I've had trouble with. I don't know if it's because it was the first real boss in the game but all the other dudes were way easier than her.

>Does about as much posture damage as flying kicks
It doesn't deal even half as much.
You're underestimating the amount of posture damage leaping kick and especially high monk does, that shit forced the posture bar to jump to like 50% instantly.

Yeah, there's no trick. You essentially have to bring it's health to zero and not worry about getting a deathblow with posture. Just make sure you counter everything.

most moves like this are so shit they shouldn't cost emblems.

High Monk and Senpou Leaping Kicks do the exact same posture damage with the first kick. High monk is literally just Senpou leaping kicks with two sword cuts and a kick added to the end of the combo

Proud of you user. I don't have any fitting pics so please enjoy my cat chilling under my blanket

Attached: 20190420_170224.jpg (2529x2321, 2.85M)

The first one is basically horseshit

That's a nice cat.

Try out the emblem rebalance mod. It reduces cost of most arts to 2.
Makes Ashina Cross 0 and it still feels useless.

your cat looks old, I can tell by the eyes

So I've beaten three bosses (Butterfly, Gyoubu and Corrupted Monk) and I can go underwater now. Still can't find the shota though. Do I just go back to a few of the areas locked off by water now?

what the fuck nigga
you're meant to go to the top of the castle

Go to the top of Ashina castle.

Remember to go back through the area you cleared later on in the game, especially the poison zone.
Trust me.

You can lame it out.
It's quite easy to deflect the jumping attacks and very easy to bait it.

What I did was run around until it did the jump attacks, got 2 hits in, then I repeated that until it was half health. It gets stunned by firecrackers and so I just stunlocked it with that until it died.

how and why did you find and beat corrupted monk so early

>and it's very easy to use them by accident.
This why I don't use them. After I parry and try to counterattack it often reads them as a unique input and starts the skill. Ichimonji is slow and basically just opens me to get hit.
Should I change the controls layout?

What the fuck
You can go underwater?

spongy? You do realize that you do massive damage when hitting her from behind?

It's legit the second easiest boss in the game, even when not cheesing because every single attack is telegraphed for like half a minute.

some fucker who only plays linear games I guess. Found away he could go and just kept following it without thinking twice about the areas he just completely ignored.

when he says "fuck ninjas" he means "FUCK" ninjas.

sekiro isn't hard, it's shit

I didn't know where to go so I just ran around and explored trying (and failing) to find bosses that weren't minibosses and found a bunch of places. The minibosses in The Gun Fort were kicking my asses so I went back to the fun dungeon and found my way to a cool hidden village. I was going to leave the hidden village because the miniboss there was just as bad, but I found that the actual boss was waaaay easier.

On the plus side, I now have two of the Headless trinket things.

Welp, I'll head there then. I got oneshot by some screaming flying feathered ninjas and so I assumed that the top of the castle was out of reach for me right now.

Thanks, will do. Do I need to do the same for any of the other places (Mt. Kongo/Hirata Estate/Abandoned Dungeon/the first half of Sunken Valley)?

Attached: 1540177698073.png (4874x942, 3.9M)

you basically explored most of the game without actually progressing
goddamn

>do I need to do the same for any other places
No, just that one, and it's after you finish sunken valley (i.e. the best boss fight in the game).

not that guy but its better to do that shit before figthing genchiro
it makes alot of things easier
like the temple stuff which you can go straight to the bell and have to avoid getting the stone in the wedding cave

Whoops.
Sure. I'm guessing I can't find the key to get through the Gunfort no matter how much I try to find it in Sunken Valley, so I guess I'll just go to the top of the tower now.

Right after I kill Headless #3.

A lot of the stuff stopping you from progressing will be after you get to the top of the castle.

FUCK. I wish I knew that.

Gonna try underclocking my 9900k to play this

twitch.tv/sankyoz

Beat the corrupted monk in mibu village to get the mibu breathing technique

youtube.com/watch?v=Pg-1oJshhoU&t=735s
literally easiest boss in the game

don't shill your garbage here, faggot

Why the FUCK won't it let me get this upgrade?

Attached: 1527361894391.png (1920x1080, 2.23M)

you haven't purchased the axe upgrade before it

Do you not understand how an upgrade tree like that works?

I just used regular sword strikes and shurikens the whole game. Never bothered experimenting with stuff.
The only time I did was with Demon of Hatred, where I picked the flame umbrella to block the fireballs and tha@t whistle to stun him on his last phase to end the fight fast.

I can't imagine what goes in the minds of speedrunners.

I'm now at Sword Saint Isshin.

Will the game allow me to explore the game after beating him, or should I do other stuff first before fighting the final boss?

Attached: 1496377355001.gif (498x498, 613K)

yea you can explore before ng+

And your point is? Movies in general are the reason for the cliche not just samurai you fucking weeb.

Then you're only crippling yourself, retard. Playing the game suboptimally is not something to be proud of.

So, I beat the Chain Ogre a while ago but the game was telling me you can it's best to set glowing red eye enemies on fire. I'm guessing there's an item that does that?

1. Learn his moves and how to deflect them consistently. You refight the monk later and this will be useful as fuck.
2. Use snap seeds to get rid of half his health BUT ONLY USE THEM 3 TIMES
3.You can stun him with crackers and ash nonstop
4. Use divine confetti once you're familiar with the fight as it does a lot of damage.

Come on Yea Forums...

>game is fair
>throw two enemies at once that will show him
fuck the seven ashina spears. shit fight.

Is that an artifact that set the blade on fire?

So what's the Meta for getting gold?

so far i've been cheesing everything just by holding sprint and basically death by a thousand cuts.

It's the last prosthetic skill, Living Force.

>in terms of rpg
It's not an rpg

I'm gonna grind like a motherfucker to get that.

>quip ash
>stick to him
>dpad up > R1 > R1 > dpad up > R1 > R1...
>spam until dead

The prosthetic follow-ups are pretty much required. The Fan version of living force gives you a divine abduction sword that flips anyone you tag on their back.

>D-pad down can't be used to change special attacks because Hackazaki didn't think to put eavesdrop on Square

Corrupted Monk is a similar deal with Lady Butterfly. You have to take down like 2/5s or 3/5ths of his health down before you can start going for perfect deflects and break her posture.

How do I dodge Demon of Hatred's new ranged fire move in phase 2? Not the home-seeking balls, the one that is a straight line where you are supposed to be able to grapple onto him.

I'm already using my fire umbrella for his 4-hit combo, is there a way of dodging this new move without using it?

Attached: Orin 3.webm (800x450, 3M)

The Flame Vent. You get it in the hirata estate

Combat arts shouldn't cost emblems and some very situational prosthetic shouldn't cost so many emblems, fix when?

Lol I’m on NG+2 with Demons Bell and Kuros Charm off. I’m pretty good at the game at this point and I don’t need firecrackers or ichimonji. There are way cooler prosthetics like Mist Ravens, Malcontent, Fire Spear, Umbrella, or Shuriken which are way more useful to me in combat. Also I prefer the monk combat skills as OP mentioned.

Attached: Seven spears shikibu 1.webm (800x450, 2.98M)

waste of a sugar and spirit emblems

Certain combat arts would be completely broken if they didnt cost emblems. Shadowfall and mortal draw come to mind. If you could just spam those infinitely the game would become a complete joke.

Jump to the side. It has a dome like hitbox, if you try to jump it you'll still get hit but jumping to the side lets you avoid it and puts you in range of the grapple.

Attached: Shinobi Hunter 3.webm (960x540, 2.99M)

you can mess around before going to ng+ but you will not have access to the final area

I'm not sure how this isn't what everyone recognizes. You can stun lock every enemy in the fountainhead with it from 100 to death no chance for retaliation. You can even corner trap lady butterfly. It's good the whole game. The chip is real.

Sprint sideways and jump. It's easier when you're far away from him.

What I'm saying is that Firecrackers and Ichimonji are objectively the best prosthetic and skill in the game. You're not playing the game to its full potential in terms of speed and efficiency if you aren't using them. Every other prosthetic and skill is situational. Even High Monk/Leaping Kicks is only good during sweeps.

You just have to predict it when you see him raise his arm up in preparation. Then you just have to jump early to make sure you’re above the flames. It’s all about timing and reading your opponent’s movements.

Also, the DoH uses that only if you’re far away. To beat DoH you should minimize the amount of time you spend being far from him. You gotta get up close to beat that boss.

Attached: Snake eyes fuji.webm (800x450, 2.99M)

The illusion version? Snap Seeds and pic related, NOT confetti she's not technically an apparition
The real one? Firecrackers and confetti, specifically you can stunlock her with firecrackers pretty easily, I legitimately destroyed half her health bar completely unpunished.

Attached: 1554655516312.jpg (601x449, 58K)

Yeah I heard you the first time when you said that retarded shit. Saying “objectively” only makes you more retarded now.

Thanks. Yeah I know about staying close, as I've had countless 5-10% deaths in phase 3. It's just a few moves still wrecking me, forcing me to use gourds, like this one, and the occasional charge I don't see in time.

Reason I'm even out of range is because I feel that sometimes he charges too far away to reach before he starts at least one ranged attack, and I've noticed that you can't run INTO his horizontal fireball attack, you rather have to run back for it to not hit you.

Is there any vendor where I can buy an infinite amount of pellets?

Can you seriously firecracker cheese every boss in the game?

Attached: 1519272011422.jpg (500x246, 29K)

If he charges far away in phase 2, imo it's better not to run at him, but wait and see what he does.
If it's the fireball throw, just stay out of range, for the fire line run and jump to the side, then grapple to him.

Not all of them, but most of them yeah.

If it's in the game its not cheating

Whenever he charges, I instantly start sprinting towards him. If he throws fireballs at you, as long as you are making a straight line for him, you will manage to run under the fireballs and avoid him. Then you can go back to hitting him and dodging his attacks.

Not those guys but in case you're not aware he's vulnerable to confetti, plenty of anons don't realize that a demon is, in fact, an apparition

Attached: divine confetti.gif (327x251, 702K)

All except headless ape, yes.

I'm missing a prosthetic that's in front of the Lilly Umbrella. I'm trying to get that shield to help against the magic fucker in the prison but I have no idea what the one in front of it is.

If I'm wrong, why do speedrunners use ichimonji and firecrackers? Think before you speak, dumbass. I could go through the game without upgrading my attack or vit on NG+7 with the Demon Bell and without the charm and could use your stupid argument that "lol if I can do it that means it's the best way to play the game." Doesn't make it true.

Not him but yeah I find if you circle towards him sprinting he'll whiff his shots and you end up at his feet while he finishes up his yoga

Bro Divine Confetti straight up increases your damage. Yes, it does extra damage on apparitions also, but divine confetti is pretty much good to use on any enemy.

Actually speedrunners doing Charmless runs are using Exorcism.

Not sure if he's vulnerable to it, confetti boosts damage against any enemy. It's just stronger and has additional effects againts apparitions.

Can't buy it though. You use it up your fucked.

god this is pathetic

W-what's Wolf trying to do to O'rin by kabedoing her? She is a married woman!

Yeah you can buy it from basically any vendor. There’s the vendors that want offerings for the dead and there’s also that vendor you find in Ashina Castle who goes to the Dilapitated Temple afterwards. You can just load up on confetti from them.

Yep I learned by accident using the brella. Brella is made for minibosses like snake eyes

yeah you can, you just gotta kill the corrupt monk first

True, but it's Pokemon tier effective against Demon and True Monk, I mean I beat the latter before my first confetti even ran out because I was able to firecracker > whackwhackwhackwhack > firecracker > repeating and she was down in 30 seconds

I don't think I've found either of those guys and I've made it to the top of the castle.

Its the whistle. You dont get it till you kill the monkey.

GOD DAMN FUCK SHIT ASS THE ONLY FUCKING THING IN THE GAME TP GIVE ME CONSISTENT TROUBLE AND YOU COULD JUST DEFLECT IT ALL Along. PISS

I killed like three monkeys but I haven't found a "The Monkey" so I guess I'll just go searching again. Thanks.

The one Ashina vendor I’m talking about is towards the “right” of the castle (if we’re looking up the stairs from the Ashina Castle spawn). Fight some enemies and you’ll find him up some stairs and hiding behind a wall.

As for the Undead Mob vendors, you should’ve already encountered one after Gyobu. Go back to that area (Ashina Castle Gate) and go up the stairs there past the area where you meet the Tengu there is another set of stairs. You need to meet him to get the Firecrackers prosthetic which he sells.

WHERE THE FUCK IS THE DAMNED FOURTH MONKEY

If the monkeys you killed were near Serpent Valley Temple, be sure to explore the valley itself by jumping down from the temple across to where you can zip.

All the fun gone

And all it took was literally all your emblems and you still had to backstab him, lol

huh okay, maybe I just forgot I saw then already. Thanks.
Same to you. I'll check it out.

Don't bother looking for vendors if you want to buy confetti, they only start selling it after you beat one of the late game bosses.

She's only 1 1/2. That's just the flash in her eyes.

This is something I learned for the final boss

Holy fuck I instantly won once I unequpped it. I was angry that I kind of spent a lot of time and whiffed opporutnities cuz I kept locking myself into that gay ass attack. I mean that move has saved my fat ass dozens of times in the regular game but for him and for certain other bosses it's no good

Shit man why the fuck it take me so long to figure that out god dammiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit

oh god....i can fucking see everything. HOly shit aaaauuuuughhhhfuck fuck fuck fuck fuuuuuucukkkakh

You'll know when you fight monkey trouble. He's after the sunken valley temple.

What attack?

I thought people said this game was hard?

People who don't try different things or put in any form of practice and rage easily think it's hard, because lol getting mad is funny!!

so what happens if you use snap seeds on corrupted monk more than 3 times anyway?

if you use snap seeds 3 times then fistful of ash 3 times then jump behind her you can get a jumping deathblow and skip the boss

Yeah but does something happen if you do it more than 3 times?

Yeah, it stops doing damage.

Probably nothing if I had to guess

What did she mean by this

Attached: 20190420002301_1.jpg (1920x1080, 232K)

Oh. I figured there might be a cool secret or something.

Okay which are the best endgame skills and tools?

for the skill i'd say double ichimonji and for the tools i didn't realy use them a lot

She was raised by monkey ninja

Firecracker cheeses so much of the game.

The best skill is parry and the best tool is your sword, fuck all that lame arm shit.

Firecracker, Shuriken, Mist Raven. Flame Vent is pretty good too, but I tended not to use it because I couldn't see shit past the flames.

Metaphorical monkey. She's describing a certain person.

Mortal draw is great for lowering boss hp so you can build up posture damage better.

FUCK DEMON! FUCK HAVING ANOTHER

just make him commit suicide, super fucking satisfying

I'm considering it, but I'm soooo cloooose.

Ichimonji Double
Shadowfall
Whirlwind Slash
Empowered Mortal Draw
Senpou Leaping Kicks

These are the only combat arts worth using. Everything else is filler.

I was in the same situation but really that boss has no business being in this game, it's laurence all over again, except this time he's in the wrong game.
The game spends all its time trying to teach you that dodging isn't always the key and that blocking + parrying are equally important optoions, then comes this motherfucker who's lesson is pretty much "remember all that crap about blocking ? yeah well, fuck that shit you playing bloodborne now"

high monk is the best sweep counter by far

Same thing as leaping kicks, but maybe his itchy fingers are making him do the extra attacks when he doesn't want to.

Ichimonji is a crutch for dorks who can't into constant pressure with standard R1 attacks

You can’t justify being a shitter. Git gud scrub.

I love the monk arts, praying fists and high kick. Ichimonji is loved by many but I don't like the windup. Brella, firecrackers, shriuken are useful for most situations. Fav Ninjutsu is bloodsmoke.

>Have to take off 90% of his health and get his posture bar almost entirely filled to make One Mind usable
It looks cool but it's worthless on anything other than trash mobs that get stunlocked by normal R1 attacks anyway, accept it

NOOO DELETE THIS POST YOU'RE INVALIDATING MY ENTIRE PLAYTHROUGHS

Senpou Leaping Kicks and all the prosthetic skills are great.

I killed him by making him follow me on the little stairs in front of the building, then I jumped and grabbed the edge of the little wall. He then freezed just in front of me and I manage to kill him by doing 547 slashes to his legs while he was standing there. A real shinobi uses the environment

falling ichimonji is A+ for avoiding being a dumbass standing in place.

ring the elusive bell
turn around
attack

>yeah well, fuck that shit you playing bloodborne now"
Bloodborne with infinite stamina, refillable healing items, and a resurrection mechanic. git gud

Exorcism is nice, the stagger it can do on big attacks is useful. Anyone try it on Demon? It can also stagger Isshins big special attack when he charges it up, enough time to do it.

Attached: emmaex.webm (640x360, 2.56M)

It doesn't even work that good most of the time. Useful in a couple fights. Why are people from both sides losing their minds over this skill?

shes brazilian

Kek, I thought about using praying strikes against Emma, but I decided not to in the end. I should have done it.

>Fav Ninjutsu is bloodsmoke
How?

Literally useless, just jump over it and damage them like normal

that she fucks monkeys and drinks monkey cum

It does more posture damage on sweeps than a regular goomba stomp.

>tfw went through the entire game without realizing you could counter low sweeps by jumping on their heads
Am I retarded or am I skilled?

You didn't go through all the tutorials from tutorial man. It's okay, I stopped getting the advanced technique tutorials in NG+ onwards for some odd reason.

What's the best way to avoid Rape Ape's grab?

Jump ?

brella

I put him out of his misery with the mortal blade, I figured he was useless after the first few hours and you get plenty of deflection practice from all the mooks anyways

youre a basic bitch

Firecracker.
Also that’s how you deal with his entire first phase as a whole. Don’t bother saving the emblems for the second phase, it’s more important you get there alive

Jump back dude, you're a Naruto ninja.

I would save a few for spear, although you can always use the ceremonial tanto.

Spear is degenerate unless you actually figured it out yourself

Oh, I thought it was a sort of dodge in the right way to avoid kind of grab. Wasn't aware you could jump grabs.

Thanks, he went down easy after that, though I can't seem to escape the arena

oh no no no no no no

FUCK FUCK FUCK I DIDN'T EXPECT TERROR

This shit should literally at least do 75% of posture damage on all bosses and should 1 shot all regular enemies

As a radical feminist nude pride lady, I recommend that your eyes should be up here. Either that or take the virgin white flower and teleport out.

lol

How would snap seeds work against Corrupted monk, first fight?

Any good tips for Owl Great Shinobi ? I died already 10 times but it seems that the only strategy is to slowly decrease his health until 50% and then deflect All his strikes ? The 1st was like 10min this way ffs

I've tried most of the combat arts, and I hate it. I hate using anything but whirlwind cause they all get ignored and interrupted by higher ranked enemies. Most attacks feel underpowered and unsafe especially.

High monk a sweep? mob recovers in the middle of the combo and starts swinging. Fuck. I'd rather just stomp.

R1 R1, dodge his attack, R1. If you dodged a shoulder tackle, hold down L1 to perfectly deflect his follow up strike, no timing needed. Then, be prepared to dodge his fire-whitepersoninsult.

The only thing I haven't managed to figure out in that fight is when he does the dance with fireballs. Everything else felt fine and you can block/parry everything except the danger symbols, the high jump in the air which just run back wards from for a second, and leap forward grab (though i think you can block that one its just odd timing).

But seriously, how are you supposed to deal with the fireballs? I did parries, but still got burned, then broken cause of the fire, and smacked. Tried dodging, but they come to fast and eventually rummage your butthole. Running didn't work. My only thought is the umbrella, but i didn't realize i wouldn't have access to upgrades suddenly, and hadn't bought the fire protection version.

Run towards him, but if you think you'll still get hit, use mist raven. You will still suffer burn gauge buildup, but you'll take zero damage.

Just keep running sideways, don't stop until they stop spawning. Also, keep a distance.

same philosophy as Shichimen oversized terrorballs; run in a circle around him, but juke the trajectory if they're getting too close by running towards him.

Maybe use that fire shield prosthetic?

It’s an illusion of her. So it does big HP damage and stuns. Stops working if she’s at half health of lower though

Fuck, wrong attack. Just keep sprinting to your right while you're locked on him to circle around him counterclockwise.

What the fuck it's nearly impossible as this nigger keeps chicken jumping after two attacks

mist raven. Well fuck, forgot about that option.
I tried that, but i guess i got unlucky.

In either case, I'll try next time i get there on NG+, I ended up beating him when he only did it once in the fight and it was my only death.

If it's Owl 1 you're talking about, you could potentially let him hit you twice, perfectly deflecting them both, then start an R1. You'll vitality damage him, strangely enough.

About to face Owl (Daddy). Anything I need to know that's different than the first fight?

Make sure you're running in a perfect circle around him with some decent distance and the fireballs should not be able to hit you. If it looks like one is getting close just do what I said and change direction towards him a bit.

Welp, Rape Ape Phase 2 wasn't that bad. What a nasty trick to play on people though.

>firecrackers destroy every boss
Proof that western tech is superior to any faggot katana or wooden armor

I fucking hate those centipede monks in Senpou, they're like a stationary turret. Worst of all, they don't even die when they are killed. They get up and fight you for a second time. Fuck, I wish I could sever their immortality.

you can :)

They're not a problem at all. You get nothing from killing them or severing their immortality. Just pick up whatever item they're guarding and run away.

Right? They're not even worth the mercy killing either, they're just dicks.

I was hinting at ape2

I want Emma to watch me molest rice loli

He’s completely different, and arguably the hardest fight in the game. Good luck.

>He’s completely different
That's a bit of an overstatement. He has a lot of the same moves, he just adds a few more and gets quicker.

Watch out for his shuriken sword slash combo. That shit will instakill you on ng+.

How to get a gf like her?

>tfw Owl 1 was harder for me
I can't dodge the 1's lloyd bomb but I can see 2's firecracker slash in slow motion. Combine that with my training against Perilous and he was surprisingly easy.

Puppeteer feels like cheating, plus the adds strikes can still harm u which I don't like

i just found out there's underwater sections in this game. please tell me there aren't underwater enemies.

Underwater Headless

Owl 1 is harder

>cheesing the most fun elite
bet you found a way to cheese giraffe too

Honestly they're piss easy compared to the other ones though. You just swim dash circles around them and tap them until they're dead, or straight swim up and parry their punk ass to death.

FINALLY SOMEONE AGREES
I mean Father basically THROWS himself into a Mikiri with his shadowrush, plus his string leading into crackerslash can be parried easily, then dodge right and you're behind him for solid punishment.

I just can't kill Hanbei

You're only making him suffer more user.

Just beat the game. Really had the most monkey trouble with the ape and Demon of Hate, Souls-like bosses really fuck me up in this game. So, in hoonor of this, please show me all the memes and shitpost I missed out on in these threads.

The Ashina vendor literally moves to the Dilapidated temple after you beat Genichiro.

Divine abduction and farm on the monks on the path after the first senpou temple idol

Was really counting on getting the same beads and seeds again in ng+ to max out like any of their other games, wish it would have told me they wouldnt be there at the prompt... I would have gone back and explored for the other 8 beads I didnt find.

Doesn't make them them any less gay

But the blood sword ninjutsu is objectively the best one.

Pretty much. If they kept his Lloyd's Talisman and poison throw from Great Shinobi Owl and just scrapped the owl spirit entirely, he'd be a lot harder. Owl 2 is only harder for first timers because his Ichimonji attack is guaranteed to mess you up if you haven't seen it before, and the fire owl spirit attack looks intimidating until you realize you just have to jump.

I found it a lot harder than the three I faced on land. They're just so slow and lumbering on land. The bigger issue is finding confetti.

Does the blue owl even do anything at all? I was more worried about that thing until I realized he hadn't attacked at all.

You don't need confetti for the water ones, it just helps if you want to hop in and burst them down.

Yeah I saw a bunch of 'just jump lol' posts in regards to Owl 2
yes, it telegraphs his invisible grab

It gives you more openings to punish is what it does. He sometimes disappears while you're staring each other down or after a combo. Then he appears again with either a downward slash or a wide slash. Easily dodgable and lets you get one or two hits in.

Then there's the fire attack followed by the Shadowrush which can just be jumped then Mikiri countered.

>yes, it telegraphs his invisible grab
Fuck, I just started sprintchadding whenever he disappeared.

how do people have trouble with this game after the first hour of learning the mechanics? just deflect loool

>tfw just beat Owl 2 for the first time
feels so fucking good when you beat a boss' face in with constant R1 pressure and deflects

yeah when blue owl sheevspins just sprint in the opposite direction. I also think he likes to projectile after teleporting but that could be me
