That's a cheap inclusion, I guess it still works to satisfy the criteria.

Your defeat/death awards you with points based on destruction caused and heroes defeated. These are spent toward your next villain and unlocking permanent boosts for increased stats.

Your first few runs start by slapping around civilians, local law enforcement, and then heroes arrive. Depending on your base power later, you may skip right into harder heroes if you quickly become a high-grade threat by destroying large areas of the city.

Eventually you'll run into Saitama -- by accident or otherwise -- and get yourself killed. He serves as the final boss and, with a high enough villain, you can actually go toe to toe with him for a while. However, he still kills you in the end, but comments on the good fight

In OPM game, you can play as Genos, Sonic, Tatsumaki, Deep Sea King, Bang and Boros.

Boss fights include all fights up to Boros. Obviously, you never incarnate Saitama, but heroes or monsters.

Final two battles, you incarnate Boros. Second to last battle, you squash every single hero and monster with you power. But final battle is considered as the most difficult one in a decade, where you fight against Saitama, with several phases. The battle put you under extreme DPS-check (if you fail to hit Satama enough at any given time, he one punches you), all while you can't be allowed to be hit even once, since it'll cripple you. There's also a hyper difficult mode for that fight, each time getting progressingly more difficult. (streamers chalenge themselves to go as far as possible)

Would never work. Fighters in fighting game universes are all generally equals in terms of power. The OPM world is strictly divided into classes of power, with one character able to easily beat all of the rest. A video game version would be too unrealistic - to create even matchups, Mumen Rider would have to be buffed up to Tatsumaki levels, which is stupid, or she'd have to be brought down to Mumen Rider levels, which is lame. It would never work.

It's a mix of shounen deconstruction and ONE's social criticism, with some good art and great characters. The fact that Saitama is an unbeatable cosmic force can be deflating for some, but I think it allows for both the surrounding cast to shine more and helps accentuate the criticism of Japan's societal norms.
That's what I get out of it anyway. I'm also just glad for a fun read where I don't have to follow the protagonist through constant enemy one-upsmanship and strength training.
