World War Z or L4D2

Is World War Z worth it over L4D2? My gf is planning on getting two copies for both of us. But It seems like L4D2 with plethora of mods is a better value for just $10.

Both are basically the same game.

A pile of gabens poo with the l4d logo on it is better than world war z

Definetly l4d2

found the steamlets

World War Z is utter shovelware trash. L4D2 is a flawless classic.

Does WWZ have Versus? If not, it's not worth it.

Nope.

looks like l4d2 it is, but gf really wants to buy and try wwz. So she'll get us both l4d2 and wwz.

By WWZ on console if you have to, don't support Epic

its not even close to l4d

Haven't played wwz, but I'd say that if you really want a classis co op moddable experience go for l4d2.
If you want a new modern coop shooter with fancy zombie technology then go for WWZ
It does youtube.com/watch?v=M6CPo7JzNwU

Mods don’t help l4d2 and this is coming from someone who has like 1000 hours. The zombie genre is so boring world war z looks boring as hell too

Why not just posting feet of said """girlfriend"""

>Not buying the chad Killing Floor

L4d2
Hunt showdown
Arma2 dayz mod epoch

Wwz changed its name like six times and failed as a game a million times
You'd have more fun installing it than actually playing it

Solid, polished game - nothing groundbreaking but for 35 bucks just buy it if you've already put hundreds of hours into L4D2.

L4D1

this looks generic

Its fine, there is nothing actually wrong with it functionally apart from lacking content.

unfortunately none of us own console. both of us strictly play on pc only. she especially hated consoles after imposing paid online multiplayer and subscription bullshit. she would call me a retard if i ask her to get a console just to play one game.

never try any mod but the zombie genre dont seems to move fromt shooting the mindless horde and survive

>shovelware
It's actually decent to pretty good, it just never should have been a WWZ game.
They obviously got a lot more time to polish the game when the WWZ franchise didn't hit off and it shows. The name is what will kill it in the end, nobody would expect it not to be some cash-in movie game.
Should have made it its own thing.

never really a fan of killing floor. the main reason for getting l4d2 are for mods.

This shit is getting a game? I don't see why.

The appeal of the book was that it was a recorded account of surviving the zombie apocolypse from multiple points of view, with a sort of "This shit actually happened, and here are their stories!" feel. It went well with the Zombie Survival Guide (which had those cool 'historical' accounts of zombie incidents in the world dating back to a prehistoric sampling of an early zombie, the zombies fighting romans, the crusades, COCKNEYBRITAIN, and two rival gangs in 1990s LA teaming up against them)

But what's the point of making it a game? It will jsut be a generic zombie game. It can't be anything BUT a generic zombie game because the book was SUPPOSED to be a story about a GENERIC zombie apocolypse.

Unless we fight zombies in different time periods or areas like... An unarmed teenage boy in Tokyo. A rural angry mom in Alabama. An inmate escaping prison....

You're confusing WWZ with the The War Z.

It's basically a tie in for the movie from like 6 years ago. And yet still is somehow a rushed, janky mess.

Fucking hell...

>But what's the point of making it a game?
I guess it could be based on the 2013 movie more and the main appeal of the game is the literal waves of zombies coming after to you just just like in the film.

There are 4 story campaigns set in different countries with own goals to achieve.

>And yet still is somehow a rushed, janky mess.
The game isnt rushed or janky at all, at least find a real criticism

If you want a L4D experience just get Payday. It's functionally similar except instead of multi-level campaigns you have single level scenarios. It has the same 4 player coop feel of L4D especially on loud missions and offers enough variety/content for it's pricetag that you'll have a good time.

It absolutely is. It is a buggy disaster. Dumb shill.

Right. That's the plot. But I don't know anything about the game so you tell me.
These "4 story campaigns", do they actually feel like you're playing a different character in a vastly different situation, or are you just some-dude-with-gun that, for all we know, is just teleporting to different regions of the world?

Just admit you're both gay.

gf and i already played a lot of payday 2 back then had a blast. Right now, I really prefer l4d2 and its mods. Got inspired from playing too much project brutality and other doom mods with gf.

Iv been playing the game all day and haven't come across a single bug and its smooth as fuck to play, far better than L4D ever was. Making up fake criticisms just shows you're a moron, not that the game is bad. It is though because it has no content. If you were not a moron you would know that.

Hands don't have feet

What about Vermintide? Vermintide 2 is basically the best L4D clone there is. That said, no reason to play any others over L4D2 since it remains the best anyway.

never tried it but i'll let her know if she likes it.
