NRS stated that they've grown up and MK is more mature now. It's a complete contradiction when Kitana has a move that crushes people with her ass or Shao Kahn basically decapitating someone through their own ass almost but hey hypocrisy is what NRS does best now.

Fatalities in general are ridiculous enough to destroy any attempt at a "mature" fighting game, whatever the fuck that would even be in the first place. Just give me back my fun fatality alternatives. Also it might just be me but it seems like there's a lot less creativity in the fatalities these days, seems like half of the ones in MKX and MK11 are just people getting cut in half or decapitated.

There is. The funny thing is that MK is known for gore but they seem to be afraid to go too visceral with it. MK9 stepped it up, MKX refined it, but 11 has hit a wall because they won't push it further resulting in, as weird as it sounds, safe fatalities.
