Also who is better Dojima or Sojiro?
Which is better Persona 4 or 5?

Theyre both the worst personas. 1-3 are the best.
lmao
Someone sum up these games in one sentence.
having friends in high school simulator
I wanna fuck my teacher but the demons won't let me.
You're a demon summoner, but also a high schooler.
repetitive
High school teenagers try to unfuck the world that is getting fucked by gods being shitty about [insert social topic here] but to do so they must summon demons and go through trippy dungeons.
I have the steelbox edition of P5 but have yet to play it. Is it as bad as Yea Forums says?
Wasn't the killer originally going to BE dojima? How would that have worked?
This, but unironically.
Incels using poorly-written romances with a variety of anime schoolgirls to cope with their virginity.
Carl Jung and Alister Crowley makea a dating RPG
Yes. That would have been fucking incredible.
dating sim with a boring grindy dungeon crawling rpg element glued on so people think it's a real game instead of the smut it actually is.
If you want a dating sim you'd be better off playing a galge. Persona is horrible at it since there's no real payoff and whatever girl you show interest in doesn't have any impact at all on the story nor does it significantly change any interactions.
>Dojima turns out to be a huge asshole cop
>Sojiro turns out to be pretty nice
Shitty effin adults don't get the REAL problems society has and it's up to some magic teenagers to fix it.
I actually like them both equally, but for different reasons.
Persona 4 has a stronger cast, story, villain, and people are going to shit on me for this one but I think music
Persona 5 is way more stylish, the confidants outside the main cast are way better, and the combat plus demon negotiations are great. Plus it fails at nothing Persona 4 is great at.
So I like both
>Which is better Persona 4 or 5?
persona 2.
>Also who is better Dojima or Sojiro?
baofu.
Games for people who unironically need to have sex
A friend simulator for socially inept individuals.
Persona 2 fags deserve the rope, take your movie and leave
t. seething p3 zoomer
Waifu
Play Nocturne you uncultured waifufags.
I gotta agree but persona 5 has good music also.
youtu.be
That was very early in development and the game would have probably been completely different.
1>>>>>>/4/5>>P4G>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>EP>>IS
FPBP
>3 (dead)
dude spoilers
Dating simulator with rpg elements.
cool story, p3 zoomer.
>4 above P4G
what did he mean by this
1 > EP > 3 > IS > 5 > 4
Daily reminder
Dojima was better but P4 as a whole was shit.
that ten extra hours of SoL content only made the terrible pacing even more insufferable
cope
>1 at the top
What in the actual fuck? 1 on PSP was literally my first Persona game and I cannot see how someone can hold this opinion.
>P3
MUH DEAD PARENTS
>P4
MUH BONDS OF FRIENDSHIP
>P5
MUH SHITTY ADULTS
because its the only one with with both decent game-play and a pacing that lets you spend more time actually playing the game then reading shit nobody cares about
>combat with actual depth because of multiple personae and the grid
>negotiation that's actually interesting
>game isn't 400 hours longer than it needs to be
>has actual replay value because of party member choices
>characters have arcs without bloating the runtime with text for it
>fusion has depth
>a consistent kino atmosphere
>consistent and actually realized themes rather than a hodgepodge of plot threads going in a hundred thematic directions
>an entire second story campaign
Seems pretty easy to understand
I felt like everyone in Persona 5 was an asshole, and dropped it after a few hours.
did it hit a little too close to home for you user?
The dungeons were shit and the gameplay was mediocre though. It was a bog standard RPG, why not just play SMT?
Why would I go to SMT if I wanted non-shit dungeons?
*siiip* Persona 1 and 2? Now those were REAL persona games.
P1 NIGGERS RISE UP
I miss Hi I'm Daisy comics.
Nuh-uh, P4 was the greatest!
Persona 3
Death is inescapable and tragic
Person 4
If scooby do was an anime set in a high school
When assblasted the p2fag's only means of self defense is to call their better a "p3 zoomer"
Hey dude, I was thinkin we could go do
somethin dirty
Nanako Dojima>Sojiro Sakura>Futaba Saukra>Uncle Dojima
dating sim disguised as a dungeon grinder
>Death is inescapable and tragic
(unless you're chidori in fes or shinjiro in p3p)
if the shoe fits...
Persona 3
Death is inescapable and tragic
SMT I
Death can't come soon enough
>M-MUH DEEP THEME.
>P4's is Seeking the truth but let's ignore that
Adachi is a better character than every P3 antagonist.
That stops after about the second dungeon. Or rather, you get used to it, and realise most of the characters you don't form confidants with are mouth breathing idiots.
Seriously what do people see in Persona 3?
>Shit s-links
>Unlikable or bland party members
>Non existent plot that doesn't pick up until the near end.
>Tartarus is a tedious grind.
Local autist saves world and gets laid by sorta just being there
well namely the fact that literally everything you just said is wrong
4 just has a bad story. 5 is a clusterfuck of game design, structure and pacing.
>"seeking the truth"
>generic murder mystery with 0 suspense since you know no one dies once you start saving people
You get superpowers by making friends
I think the murder mystery in 4 was a good idea, but it's not the sort of thing you can space out over seven months. The SoL events felt like filler, and what's worse is that you probably could've honed in on the real culprit in about half the time if Yukiko wasn't being a ditz.
Sojiro was better than Dojima, but largely because he ends up actually aware of your situation with the meta world. If Dojima was in on the truth of the situation it would have ended up a lot better, and I personally think the story would have been a lot better if he was made aware of the truth when nanako got kidnapped. He would have a lot better reason to support you and I think the scene where you are talking alone with Naoto outside the ramen shop could have been really cool if you run into Dojima and start discussing it with Naoto and him instead. Hell, It would have been sick if there was a scene where you confront Adachi with Dojima, and instead of the bullet just whizzing past you he actually takes the bullet for you, would have made him a fucking badass.
Personally I think Persona 4 holds it's game up better (this is judging based off of golden in particular, but I still think it applies to the base game). Persona 5 starts very strong, but the main cast is not nearly as appealing as the main party of Persona 4 (The side-social links are much better in 5 than 4, arguably better than the main casts ones, which is both a good thing and a tragedy.)
Persona 5 was just kinda depressing because it was constantly shitting on you the whole game but still way too happy and fun to actually carry that feeling. And Every antagonist between the gym teacher and Sae felt completely uninspired (except maybe futaba). They tried too hard to keep in upbeat despite everyone being in a shitty situation. If they showed how people got fucked over a lot harder by the 'evil adults' the story would have been more appealing.
Gameplay was objectively better in 5 though.
>but the main cast is not nearly as appealing as the main party of Persona 4
What am I even reading, the P4 cast were text book anime characters in a textbook anime setting.
I feel they played off each other better than the p5 cast which just sat around a table and sulked. The whole scene with Morgana fucking off because of Ryuji was pure autism, and I feel despite their 'tropey' nature there was more character growth with the p4 cast than the p5 cast.
I beat Persona 4 Golden in a month when it launched and still remember the music, story and characters.
I beat Persona 5 at launch month and don't remember anything except for the battle song and that effing cat and Ryuuji getting burned by everyone like Yosuke.
>Gameplay was objectively better in 5
>three times more cutscenes
>broken
>treats you like you're in a tutorial for 80 hours.
I'm convinced people who praise this game's gameplay really hate randomly generated dungeons or haven't played a decent jrpg in their life and I'm not a big jrpg fan.
Sojiro. He may start off as an asshole but when shit hits the fan he has your back
Dojima literally throws you in prison because of a letter
On the contrary I couldn't even finish P4G because of the hours of downtime between short dungeons spurts filled with bad writing
>not nearly as appealing as the main party of Persona 4
Are you on drugs user
The combat was very fast and smooth for a turn based game, and you had a number of interesting tactical options. The problem is that, unless you restricted yourself in some way, it was too easy to just steamroll everything by the time you reached the Bank.
What's weird is that 90% of P5 is "shitty effin adults", but there are also far more decent and reasonable adult/authority figures than P4.
>The problem is that, unless you restricted yourself in some way, it was too easy to just steamroll everything by the time you reached the Bank.
That's a pretty big fucking problem considering the bank isn't even halfway through the game. How is that better than 3 and 4 where you could at least tell they bothered with the difficulty curve?
Unless P4 was your first JRPG I don't really see the difficulty curve that you speak of user. Hell I can't even remember the last time a JRPG was even a bit "difficult".
I recall both 3 and 4 getting much easier by around the 3rd dungeon (or section of Tartarus).
4 had a brief difficulty spike with Shadow Mitsuo, but that was about it.
Superheroes in highschool.
I really can't see that working, at least with the direction they ended up taking
I'm not saying they were difficult but they weren't broken like 5 was. For example They give you SP adhesives near the end of the game unlike P5 which gives them to you via a social link. It's completely retarded. I have bigger issues with the game's structure and the amount of repetative cutscenes though.
