When every pokemon can learn 50+ moves it makes them all feel like the same shit

they meant that hes a total badass. but also they all fit his character

To me it always looked like movepools were based on how the creature looks and what you think they should be capable of, rather than their typing. A few others are thrown in for the sake of versatility from a pure gameplay perspective. Gyarados isn't a dragon by typing, but he is by description, same as regular Charizard. I can believe a dragon should be able to throw thunderbolts and breathe fire.
