it was melodramatic weebshit

last good ff
>b-b-b-but this other ff
shhhh, you're wrong

Seething
It's a great game, that makes up for it's flaws due to how amazing the soundtrack & storytelling are

nah you're fucking dumb. XII is the last good FF

no ffx is a good game. some parts are a bit cringey but other ffs have that as well. i just recently played it for the first time and i loved it.

I played it last October with zero prior experience. It’s kino.

SHut the fuck up nigger
Japanese game =/= weebshit, fucktard

arguably the last good game to be given the final fantasy name, although not quite as good as 6,7, or 9.

COPE
FF7 is objectively worse then FFX in every aspect

Back in 2001 it was some next level shit. Its cutscenes are still very well directed, specially the EE models, but the structure of the game was pretty linear.

Goddamn I really want that sword

I was genuinely not expecting FFX to be as good as it was. Everyone here kept saying it “killed” FF.

I hate the tropical setting.

It killed FF with all the many great things it did. After it FF tried chasing the dragon and doing it again not understanding what made FFX great.

Graphics are good.
OST is amazing,
Story is good, a bit over the top at times and Tidus x Yuna is poorly done but it's not as bad as, say, Squall x Rinoa
Combat is by-the-numbers but well executed. Every character not named Kimahri feels like they have a purpose and most enemies seem to have elemental and strategical weaknesses to exploit.
Linear map design but FFX uses that linearity to craft cool environments with interesting gimmicks, like thunder dodging or the temple puzzles. Some may dislike those gimmicks but hey, miles better than XIII.
Sphere Grid is one of the best leveling mechanics in FF series, bested only by FFV's Job System.

Overall, a good game IMO. Would probably rate it 8/10.

>shit cast
>boring plot
>boring world
>plays itself

nah

nostalgia

every FF game has good ideas and sometimes good worldbuilding but the execution is always shitty. FFX is no different

no

yes

Good combat let down by some truly awful characters and an insufferable whinging pussy of a protagonist.

You’ll cry, you're gonna cry, you always cry. See? You're crying.

FFX has a beautiful atmosphere and world design. Only edgy teenagers hate it.

It it is Kino alright.

Aeons and pre-charging overdrives was a mistake.
Some of the bosses are legit difficult and require individual approach at beating them, unless you pre-charge and dump all overdrives.
Shame really.

using aeons as meatshields is also an OP strategy

Anything with an island setting and lore based on island deities it AUTOKINO because there's a severe lack of it.
>Controllable summons
>Blitzball
>Secret Magus Sisters summon
>Big wallet Yojimbo killing ANYTHING
>Best levelling system

FUCKING KINO GAME.

good setting, good music, good art

bad story, bad gameplay, Tidus laughing

yeah i agree, FF10 sucks

People point to ff7 when they think of edgy teenage stuff, but really ffx takes the cake.
X-2 is very much superior.

This is the one FF I can't play. Linear maps with random encounters and having to give everyone a turn in battle to get experience is just super tedious. Good plot and music. Blitzball sucks ass. Wacka eats ass.

Spirits Within and XI as a MMO killed the series though

KINO
AS
FUCK

>XI as a MMO
XI is unironically one of the more interesting FFs, not anyone's fault but yours that you're autistic to the level of not being able to play a solo-able MMO

I do really enjoy this game. Loved it back when it first came out and love it still. Not a perfect game by any means. But still enjoyable to me.

Who knew tidus and obi-wan were voiced by the same guy?!

Also lulu boobs when I was a kid. oh god

It's 10/10 in every aspect, I have no nostalgia for it.
The story is an allegory for the Susanoo/Yamata no Orochi myth. It's the best story ever told in a game and beyond criticism.

I know this is a troll image, but honestly I'd only move a few things around.

narrator tidus is the best character in a final fantasy game. I absolutely love that as a narrative trope, in this, max payne, bastion, etc. its just great
