>have to fight another boss before him every time you die
>has 3 phases
>has 3 different types of unblockable attacks which you can't discern because fighting in tall grass
>one shot combos
>posture back goes back down like butter
What an abysmal, tedious shit fight. No shame about cheesing this faggot. Lmao they dare ask me if I want another playthrough right after killing this nigger.
Have to fight another boss before him every time you die
>posture back goes back down like butter
learn how the game works faggot
He literally jumps away from you and recovers all his posture within seconds retard.
I told you to learn how the game works and you didn't, now look where we are
>inb4 le epic git gud
You somehow missed an entire mechanic that the game tells you about. I'm not going to explain it you though, hope you had fun :^)
There is no "mechanic" that goes around a boss jumping away and recovering their posture. He deflects kunais, hes too far for a counterslash, theres nothing. You're just an embarassing weeb
stay mad illiterate
>still no argument
Get good you filthy casual
reading those tutorial boxes was the hardest part of the game for me as well
Yeah no, you're fucking bad
>inb4 spoonfeeding
you can just learn which attack you can safely punish and chip damage until he's at half-health, then go to town on him and drop his posture. As far as I recall, one of his longer combo ends up in a super obvious mikiri counter, which you can easily counter and get in one or 2 hit before running away. Just do that a few time.
Posture regeneration slows the lower the foes health is. I’m surprised you got this far without realizing this existed.
kek
>bitches about sekiro being too hard
>literally cannot read
You can't make this shit up
LOL
to be fair, some of them pop up when you aren't expecting it and can be immediately clicked away so you can't read it again
happened to me with the lightning reversal one, i even went back to the temple to see if i could practice it but it wasn't available
luckily it ended up being a super-simple execution
To be fair Genichiro is pretty easy, but its just a waste of my time having to kick his ass in order to get rekt by his grandpa
>mfw I got to Owl 1 before I realized guarding makes your posture recover faster
>jumps away
so charge at him. he recovers posture only if you let him. hint, while hes in an attack animation his posture doesnt go down. just keep him in constant attack cycle.
gen is a fat loser who you should be able to beat without getting hit once if you've made it that far already. and isshin's last two phases are easier to deal with than his first. his spear moves are easy as fuck to read and you literally just spam guard when he whips out his gat.
>jumps away
So chase after him?
Hesitation leads to death
He only has 1 stage if you're aggressive enough. You can literally do 95% of the fight without him ever taking the spear out. As for Genichiro, how the fuck can't you perfect the biggest jobber in vidya history at that point.
His second phase is just run up attack until you hear him parry, party his 3 counters and then deal with follow up. If he sheaths either stay near counter his hilt attack and jump, or back away and hit him after his cross, or counter his thrust
Gen I died to a lot at first as I wouldn’t use any heals and didn’t realize his jump lunge counted as a thrust to counter, thought it was something you stepped out and attacked him after
Anyone else keep a death count for bosses?
Gyobou - 2
Lady Butterfly - 14
Genichiro - 1
Ape - 18
Double ape - 0
Corrupt monk spirit - 1
Owl - 7
Corrupt monk true - 0
Divine Dragon - 0
Genichiro/Isshin - 55
I haven't done Owl 2 or demon yet.
Iron Fortress makes him trivial.
Gen is the exact same fight as his castle ashina self with the added black mortal blade attacks. Thing is, these attacks are extremely slow and give you an opening to get 4-5 attacks in by just running behind him. He is legit easier than his ashina castle version.
>Does jump away attack with the spear
>Dodge forward
>Free hit every time
Experiment more. If you stay on the offensive you win. He really punishes defensive players.
>Gyobou - 2
How? It was the first boss I encountered and I mopped the floor with him. I thought he was actually easier than the fat bois.
