Said guy kept it under wraps for years, and had anyone who tried to tell the public banned. He also ran a "good enough" program called paragonchat, and said a private server was impossible. So this week it was proven he was keeping everyone in the dark for years, they twisted his arm to release the code. As of now, tests are being made for a public server.

They have surmised that in at least a month this new version of i24 that will not be so memory constrained like I25 and also have much more modern features will greatly lower the cost of running a server. that effort is named i24F.

in the mean time, we're all trying to wait and see what the best that can be done with i25 is. it looks like more than one person has a server set up at the moment, but we're having some issues getting connected to it. we're going to have some "growing pains" for a little while. remember this version we are trying to get on has essentially been a "secret club" of sorts, there was never any plan for so many people to be on the server, so people are working to fix that and bring the code base up to date.

The only thing that probably isn't legit is Paragon Chat. Everything else is fine so long as it's not connected to Titan Network (note that City of Titans is not the same as Titan Network) or Leandro.

SEGS project is still fine. They are reverse engineering without using stolen code, so there will be no legal basis to shut them down. if NCSoft cares they can and will try to shut down the servers that are made with SCoRE's version of the game.
