If you hold L or R while drawing a line, it'll be perfectly straight.

Alternatively, use the grid for snap drawing and exact units by pressing Y and toggling it on.

Yes they fall and respawn! The right side seems a bit random though, some times when I test it it works fine, some times they pile up but it's fun since they start to pile on top of the teleporter so anyone launched into the other one is immediately thrown into lava
