Should it be legal?

Should it be legal?

The music could cause it to get banned like the Earthbound stages.

Wait, how?

why do I only ever see the red version??
the trailer said color depends on song.

Copyright issues

Can't that just be circumvented by making a custom playlist with My Music?

The criteria that determines whether a stage is legal or not is beyond autistic now. I get stage hazards and things that disrupt gameplay, but these Smash autists have come up with a million what-ifs to complain about that get all but the most basic stages banned. I don't know how anyone has fun with this shit.

Blue for P3 songs, yellow for P4 songs

It depends on your metric. Is there anything banworthy about it? No. However, if the philosophy behind the stage list has to do with balance of stage size (a retarded oversimplification made by the community, but whatever), then probably not. The problem is most TOs enable their really retarded communities. Slippery slope has been happening. The seeds were planted in Melee/Brawl but were actually reaped in Smash 4/now. Like, I understand (though they are wrong) the argument against a stage such as Warioware, but wanting to ban Yoshi's Brawl is just retarded as fuck.

I didn’t think competitive fags were that bad until now. Some fags genuinely want to ban a stage because it has a ramp, like serioulsy what kind of shit is this?

What issues?

I feel the same way. When I play with friends, one of them (who everyone else follows) refuses to play on anything but Kirby's Dreamland (the battlefield clone with wind) and makes a fucking fuss whenever anyone chooses any other stage. It's like fuck, the game has so many cool stages and gimmicks, let's be open minded for once and just try them and have fun. Obviously that's not really an issue now because every stage can be battlefield, but we still end up playing without items or stage hazards because people take Smash way too fucking seriously.

You don't know suffering until you have players look at you in disgust because you actually want to strike and counterpick rather than just playing on one stage the whole set (usually stadium 2, formerly smashville)

>Cloud
>Has "FF" as logo for some reason even though it's never officially referred to as "FF" and each game has its own logo, VII's being the fucking meteor

>Joker, rep of Persona series and SMT in general
>Phantom Thieves logo

Yeah but Square Enix are a bunch of jews and don't care about subtle representation. They want to make sure you fucking know exactly what series this dude is from so you can go out and buy three copies.

>Smash players too lazy to actually do in-set bans and counterpicks and instead resort to banning almost every stage outright
ffs at least melee had some counterpicking

Baby baby baby baby baby version only.

Cloud doesn't deserve to stay in the next Smash.

neither Persona or SMT have a logo they could use though. The closest is that mask symbol on the back of Persona cards, but even then that's pretty obscure, barely shown in game, and doesn't include SMT at all.

it should have been a butterfly

>SMT
what about the swirly goddess head

Attached: Smtjapaneselogo.jpg (275x276, 42K)

that would take effort and anything that takes effort could delay a tournament or cause players to accidentally change the knockback values
BANNED

>butterfly
In what way does this include SMT though? Philemon is only really depicted as an important deity in Persona, and the butterfly motif is absent in SMT
I could see it happening if we get an SMT rep and they're counted a separate from the Persona series, kinda like Mario is to DK, Yoshi, and Wario

>legal
not before they legalize WW and Castle Siege

>wanting to ban Yoshi's Brawl
wait why

...of a game that's out of print?

Competitive Smash is such a joke

Attached: competitive smash.png (1914x3300, 572K)

most items and stage hazards are gay shit that nobody in the world likes, I dont dislike how it is in some stages like the new one and the F-zero stages but most of the time its stupid shit like the NSMB stage with the map constantly changing and instakill bullshit running around

It's weird to me how your community "ban" stages in fighting games.

I never get why.

look at this

>SMT in general
>literally only things that originated in Persona

Attached: idonotcomprehend.jpg (1280x720, 65K)

because most of the stages suck ass, its like complaining that comp TF2 doesnt run 2Fort

no tourneyfagging video games should not be legal. learn a martial art or sport and move out of your parents basement.

The slanted ledges are super jank

It's even weirder because if you look at in-game materials like the music list or even promotional stuff (like pic related), it always lists Cloud as representing Final Fantasy VII specifically, and not the whole series like every other character, but they don't use the meteor as the logo.

>Bayonetta 2

I don't like slants but I want it to be legal just for the music.

the only reason she got in the game was to shill that game.
>but it was old
we're taking about a company that still hasn't dropped the price on mario kart 8. time has no meaning to them.
